Thank You Criminal Minds...One of the nicest songs to honor the victims of 9/11...I can't understand why its not popular...If the media got behind it she could become a star overnight.
Thank you for pointing out that this was for the victims of 9/11, I had no idea. I had first heard it on Criminal Minds. The lyrics to the song make much more sense now. I agree with you, I don't get why it's not popular.
Lisa Middleton That is such a sweet bit of information! This was the second song of hers they used. The song choices on this show have introduced me to some wonderful writers and performers.
Never heard this song until our 13-year-old nephew died accidentally in March 2015. This is the song his parents picked for his funeral. It has a place in my heart and memories.
Idk if it's cause I'm pregnant, but this lady's songs keep making me cry. I remember in the 4th grade when 9/11 happened. So many lives lost. So many people losing people they loved. Such a sad day. Changed the whole world. A giant of a nation fell to their knees. And the world fell with them.
I heard her voice on Criminal Minds...yet another reason I love this show. I saw her acting on Criminal Minds and loved the episode because of her portrayal in the show...not knowing was her singing any of these songs. She is a most amazing talent. And again do to her voice I missed the repesentation to 911. But of course now knowing this I am more than amazed by her pure talent and most grateful to have been blessed by her sharing her talent...heart...love...respect! with all of us. Thank- You Most Sincerely Lily Kershaw.
This song is so amazingly beautiful it hit my heart . My Brother Eli was found deceased around Skid Row in Los Angeles in his Apartment, we never got the real reason why he died , his ashes were sent to us and when they arrived we really couldn't figure out where to place his ashes. He was such a lovable, funny guy. But it helps me to know he is better where he is. no more pain, no more judgment towards him.
I lost my father and my nephew suddenly. I felt this song deep in me, lyrics penetrating my walls, triggers pulling out my tears again. This song is so hauntingly beautiful.
Especially the part when she says that you will never know all the people that you brought to your knees....... This song 12 years later makes me cry and brings me back to that day. Even though its about Strauss, she will be missed on CM, but this song hits home for other reasons....
this song makes me think of a friend i lost a week ago. she died so young by a tragic car accident... she used to meet me in the mourning for breakfast my freshman year and gave me the best advice... i am still in denial I miss you Zully ... heaven gained another angel
"People floating on down, a strange dance from the towers in the sky", people you'll never know that were brought down, "ashes that once were bone" - 9/11. I lived close to the Pentagon and I could only see ashes falling that I knew were once very much loved people. And I prayed for them. I pray still.
What I love about Lilly Kershaw songs in Criminal Minds is the fact that both ending to seasons with her songs are so diffrent from one another. Season 7 and the song " As it seems" was a rather cheerful ending to that season but 8th season thanks to this song is much more bittersweet, tragic even and I absolutely adore it.
What a deep evocative song. My mom died unexpectedly last year. I had my father's ashes shipped overnight so I could mix hers with his right after she was cremated. I live in California in the valley between 2 national forests. When all the snow melts I will take her to Kings National Park where the giant redwoods are. The ones you can drive a car through. I already have the permit. I will spread their ashes at the bottom of the largest redwood tree. They will be part of something that will live another 1000 years. I will remember this song on that day.
As with so many others, Criminal Minds brought me here. But this song speaks to my heart as my Dad left suddenly(suicide💔) and it's been so hard to deal with. Music has been one tool to help me with dealing with these emotions. Just need a good cry every once in awhile. RIP Erin Strauss and rest in paradise my Dad James Andrew Derry💙💙
found this song because of criminal minds, but couldn't have come at a better time, just lost my grandmother unexpectantly on Oct 3rd, and this song just really hit home to me. It's also a really great tribute to those lost in 9/11 don't know why I never heard it then, it should have been more popular it really is a great song.
Hearing this song on Criminal Minds brought me here. What a beautifully sad song! It's been a while since I cried over what happened on 911 but the lyrics in this song touched me and I cried once more
Criminal minds brought me to her as well. Honestly this song is absolutely beautiful. It made me remember some of the faces from that day. I remember being in school and seeing it happen... nothing was the same after that day. This song brings back all those memories
Heard it on criminal minds as well. It's the kind of song that makes you stop dead in your tracks because it is so musically and lyrically moving. A beautiful, emotive, bittersweet ballad. Kershaw is an old soul minstral.
Lyrics As the wind blows the last breathes upon the breeze Ashes falling like snow All the people you'll never know that you brought to their knees Ooo-ooo Won't you meet me in the morning? Ooo-ooo You left without any warning Ooo-ooo Oh-Oh I don't know where to put you now People floating on down A strange dance from the towers in the sky People floating on down Fire so hot at their backs; better to hit the ground Ooo-ooo Won't you meet me in the morning? Ooo-ooo You left without any warning Ooo-ooo Oh-Oh I don't know where to put you now Come back, won't you come back, won't you come back To me Come back, won't you come back To me Ashes that once were bone Where do we go from here? Ashes that once were bone I'm slipping from my faith I'm falling with my fear Ooo-ooo Won't you meet me in the morning? Ooo-ooo You left without any warning Ooo-ooo Oh-Oh I don't know where to put you now Ashes like snow Where did you go-oh?
I can very easily see this being the reason. A very beautiful song with a very sad meaning to it. The kind of song one listens to when they just need to cry but just can't seem to bring the tears on.
JUST HEARD THIS BEAUTIFUL SONG ON CRIMINAL MINDS... ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL....THIS YOUNG LADY IS FANTASTIC... LOVE THE SONG... I WILL LISTENING TO MORE OF HER.. THANK YOU LILY... MY SISTER'S NAME IS LILLY.. ❤️
lily has a stunning voice she did the cast and crew proud I am quite addicted to show for 7 plus years now (and before you ask it was never about Derrick) lol after hearing this first song from finale more so now enjoy all you all have made years quite memorable I feel as though were extended family pls keep show returning indefinitely, but if have to go someday pls give me time to accept your 1 of 2 fav shows I never ever miss u make me laugh and cry with you I ty for all of you.
I purchased her CD 'Midnight In The Garden' on Amazon for under $8.00. The entire CD is beautiful, with this song being my favorite. It's well worth the money & supports Lily- Thanks again to Criminal Minds, they feature fantastic music!
September 08,2022 my Fur Baby Cha Cha Chanel, my Shoddy, passed away in my arms at the vet's. I had rushed her in, because she was breathing heavily, and she lifted her little head, and looked at me, then she laid down on my chest. I thought that she was napping, but she had crossed The Rainbow Bridge. I've been playing this song over and over, and I haven't stopped crying. RIP My Cha Cha Chanel, my Shoddy. I miss you so much, the day you passed away, a part of me passed away too. I'll never stop loving you. RIP My Cha Cha Chanel , my Shoddy.
A few years ago Criminal Minds brought me here. Shortly after, my birth mom brought me here after she tore up my heart. An ex-girlfriend of two years brought me here when she left. And today the passing of my grandmother brings me here. This beautiful song gets me through. So much loss swirls around these lyrics in my case. But there are new beginnings...
This song played with a slide show of a young woman named Amber Basinger's (21) life, who was tragically killed in a car accident as the innocent passenger. She was laid to rest this past Thursday and this Sunday I was watching Criminal Minds and heard this song for the second time in my life. It was a sweet reminder that she is still her. Needless to say, I cried.
im convinced this song is about 9-11, especially the part about people jumping from the dancing towers in the sky because the fall is better than the fire on their backs...
Another song for my Hauntingly Beautiful playlist - I absolutely love your voice and think that more people should definitely be listening to your work. I stumbled across you like others, through Criminal Minds and have been reminiscing about the music I've discovered through the pandemic. Thank you for your beautiful voice
I heard this song on Criminal Minds tonight, and I looked it up on shazam. I just had to buy it. It's haunting, yet so beautiful. Her voice is amazing.
To Unus Annus. By morning you'll be long gone and there's nothing I can do. It feels like a long time coming if I'm honest. But that doesn't make it hurt any less. In losing you, I lose a home. By noon tomorrow I'm still going to be looking for the new video. Even though I know it'll be gone. I'll never forget, I won't let myself. I love you. Honest to God I love you. You will be missed.
As the wind blows the last breathes upon the breeze Ashes falling like snow All the people you'll never know that you brought to their knees Ooo-ooo Won't you meet me in the morning? OMG I WAS SCREAMING AND CRYING. My mom actually came over and was like "Kid, what the hell ? You're screaming like you lost someone near and dear to you."
I never thought that something tragic that happened one month before i was born will make me burst out in tears and hurt so much but it does, i wish i could go back in time and undo it all.. My fullest respect and heartfelt compassion 💔
Thoughtful, absolute insight to where many fail to think. Please keep up the beautiful thinking and wonderful music. True talent is becoming more of a rarity so thank you!
love this song! i knew it was lily kershaw the second she started singing. listen to her song "as it seems" if you like this one. it was the final song in last season's season finale (season 7) it played at JJ's wedding
Criminal Minds brought me here. Now I'm obsessed with Lily Kershaw. Her songs are so nice. I wish more people knew about her. Her voice is so lovely.

It's a shame really, a bunch of songs on Criminal Minds, Cold Case, and Flashpoint should be known world wide :/
So glad i watched this episode i heard the song and fell in love with it!! Thank you criminal minds
Her father is an executive producer on Criminal Minds.
She is excellent. Her father directs Criminal Minds often.
Lily's father Glenn Kershaw directed several episodes for Criminal Minds. Love her
Lisa Middleton That is such a sweet bit of information!
This was the second song of hers they used.
The song choices on this show have introduced me
to some wonderful writers and performers.
And so explains her debut on criminal minds..thats where i discoverd her music and i love it such powerfull lyrics
have you seen her as Kelly Shane in the double episode "To Hell..." & "...And Back"?? fantastic!
wow
Heard it in Criminal minds loved it since~! RIP Erin Strauss!
yo same rip
Never heard this song until our 13-year-old nephew died accidentally in March 2015. This is the song his parents picked for his funeral. It has a place in my heart and memories.
I am so, so sorry for you and your family's loss.
RIP Erin Strauss.
RIP everybody in 9/11
Lily Kershaw has to be one of the most underrated singers out there.
Thank You Criminal Minds for such a beautiful song ❤️😊
EASY if Daddy is a producer . There are talented people in rural India who dont have connections.

How can you dislike this song, the people who put thumbs down on this video, clearly have no understanding of talent. Amazing woman. Amazing song.
Kane Shelley Haters
They’re everywhere
Frustrated people who don’t know what to do with their lives
I lost my father and my nephew suddenly. I felt this song deep in me, lyrics penetrating my walls, triggers pulling out my tears again. This song is so hauntingly beautiful.
I am so very sorry for your loss, Diana. I have the same visceral reaction to this song.
I cried so hard when Rossi was hugging Strauss' kids when they found out she died
Especially the part when she says that you will never know all the people that you brought to your knees....... This song 12 years later makes me cry and brings me back to that day. Even though its about Strauss, she will be missed on CM, but this song hits home for other reasons....

My son died 4 years ago this Friday and this song fits how I feel
I am sorry.

One more great song by Lily Kershaw that was on Criminal Minds ♡

Deb Jones sorry about your mom.
Sorry for your loss. I couldn’t possibly imagine loosing my parents I’m only 10.
Deb Jones what an absolutely wonderful idea..
That’s beautiful. I think your parents will like that.
🙏❤
As with so many others, Criminal Minds brought me here. But this song speaks to my heart as my Dad left suddenly(suicide💔) and it's been so hard to deal with. Same my friend
Why aren't we seeing this brilliant, young performer on the Grammys?
There's a unique beauty and comfort found in her video, music, voice and lyrics. I've been hitting the replay button all day.
Criminal minds brought me to her as well. Honestly this song is absolutely beautiful. It made me remember some of the faces from that day. I remember being in school and seeing it happen... nothing was the same after that day. This song brings back all those memories

@@purva1025 You are thinking of her song "As It Seems". Another beautiful song!
Rip Erin Strauss Criminal Minds blessed me with this song
Lily's song was used in the Season 7 finale and also the Season 8 finale! She is absolutely fantastic.
I actually had tears in my eyes when the "come back, won't you come back to me" part was playing when the team was talking.
Truly one of the most beautiful songs ever written on a sudden passing. 💔🙏💔
Lyrics
As the wind blows the last breathes upon the breeze

Awesome song Lily. Brought tears and I'm a 44 male tough guy (but real softy for good endings and great songs that accompany them, weird, I know).
R.I.P Erin Strauss, the best section chief
I can very easily see this being the reason. A very beautiful song with a very sad meaning to it. The kind of song one listens to when they just need to cry but just can't seem to bring the tears on.

I can't stop listening to this song.
A beautiful song used in a great show to remember a complex character who was ultimately a very good person.
My God those lyrics....and that voice, just stunning
omg i didnt think anyone else would be from criminal minds!!
As a person who has major depression I am so in love with the second song of hers
Anyone remember Lily was singing the season finale end song of season 7! Love her voice! Really hope would hear more of her in the future.
This should have been a mega hit. I can only surmise people just could not deal with the reality that the US, knew it was coming.
one of the reason why criminal minds is my show-brings me to songs that truly touch me.... beautiful song
I aid goodbye to my "Mama Cat" last week to this song...I sang it to her as she passed from this life to the next....beautiful song of life .
God I literally NEED an album from her. She's like a female James Blunt.
Just love criminal minds and just love how they chose excellent music for the show, the perfect combination.

Absolutely beautiful song and displaying the lyrics simultaneously is soooo innovative. Such talent is inspiring and uplifting.
Always come here on 9/11 anniversary. RIP
So do I. sigh...
This song played with a slide show of a young woman named Amber Basinger's (21) life, who was tragically killed in a car accident as the innocent passenger. I love when great television introduces me to great songs.
im convinced this song is about 9-11, especially the part about people jumping from the dancing towers in the sky because the fall is better than the fire on their backs...
It is about 911.
The penny has just dropd for me

I cried throughout almost the whole episode!! One of the saddest episode of Criminal Minds ever!
Another song for my Hauntingly Beautiful playlist - I absolutely love your voice and think that more people should definitely be listening to your work. last year the song "As it seems" is one of my favorites and this song also will be.
this song made me mourn and do not know why... can´t wait
I'm in love with this song
While i ❤❤❤ criminal minds, i heard this song on Roadies for the first time in such an emotional moment. It was absolute perfection 😢
As the wind blows the last breathes upon the breeze
Ashes falling like snow
All the people you'll never know that you brought to their knees
Ooo-ooo
Won't you meet me in the morning?
Ooo-ooo
You left without any warning
Ooo-ooo Oh-Oh
I don't know where to put you now
People floating on down
A strange dance from the towers in the sky
People floating on down
Fire so hot at their backs; better to hit the ground
Ooo-ooo
Won't you meet me in the morning?
Ooo-ooo
You left without any warning
Ooo-ooo Oh-Oh
I don't know where to put you now
Come back, won't you come back, won't you come back
To me
Come back, won't you come back
To me
Ashes that once were bone
Where do we go from here?
Ashes that once were bone
I'm slipping from my faith
I'm falling with my fear
Ooo-ooo
Won't you meet me in the morning?
Ooo-ooo
You left without any warning
Ooo-ooo Oh-Oh
I don't know where to put you now
Ashes like snow
Where did you go-oh?
OMG I WAS SCREAMING AND CRYING. My mom actually came over and was like "Kid, what the hell ? You're screaming like you lost someone near and dear to you."
This song is SOOOO powerful!
this is haunting.
I never thought that something tragic that happened one month before i was born will make me burst out in tears and hurt so much but it does, i wish i could go back in time and undo it all..
My fullest respect and heartfelt compassion 💔
Heard this a couple nights ago on Criminal Minds. I'm so glad I was watching.
Wow! Didn't know what this song was about at first. Chilling...
Thoughtful, absolute insight to where many fail to think. Please keep up the beautiful thinking and wonderful music. True talent is becoming more of a rarity so thank you!
