every song sounds like it could be the grand finale last song on this album hahaha
the transition from Rare Animal to cul-de-sac is incredible
You can tell how much they improved at song writing after TFGBA. It has higher lows and even higher highs, it dives into the band's more experimental side, and it's proud of it. It makes me suck out the marrow till there's nothing left.
coelacanth is too dragged out, and commatose only sounds good for 3 minutes.
the lows are too long, glass beach keeps adding silent and still moments in the song like it's free
@@sampletext9426 yeah, kinda true. But I think the improvement between the first album and this one shows a good trend line for their improvement in the future. I'm looking forward to an album that tops Plastic Death the way itself did with TFGBM.

This did NOT dissapoint. This is my favourite band and plastic death definitely lived up to the first album in it's own fashion. I'm glad i got the privelige of growing up listening to this band, love yall.
i discovered this band in march of 2021 from “Bedroom Community” from a friend, i loved it at the first listen especially the NONONO verse
it wasn’t till about september of 2021 i started listening to more of the TFGBA and i was blown away. every song was a new feeling ive never felt, glass beach is literally an addiction
in april of last year, i met a very pretty girl, i didn’t pay close attention to her but she paid close attention to me. i was very closed off from a past experience and i didn’t want anything to do with love. but one day a mutual friend told me to me meet up with them and the girl, when i got there she was holding a clay painting of TFGBA album cover and gave it to me. this made me really interested in her and we ended up talking , staying up texting eachother and there i was again staring at my phone screen forcing myself awake and sleeping between each message because i was so tired. she asked me out and our first date will be a memory i will never forget. now it’s almost our 1 year anniversary
i just want to thank this band for everything it’s done for me and what it’s done for others. i cried the first time i heard this album thank you so much glass beach for giving me the girl of my dreams.
i hope you stay with her forever. i hope i find someone with the same interests as me. theres this one boy at school who listens to tally hall and glass beach, but i dont think hes interested in me unfortunately

Very excited for this one. The first album is one of my all time favorites. Great album, more mature and calmer than the first one. but also has heavy hitters like the CIA and comatose. I feel it will definitely grow on me.

This is much heavier than the first album. The production is amazing and you can literally hear the immense amount of work that went into every note of every track. The only thing it's missing is on-screen lyrics or something like that because I can only understand like half of what they are singing. Maybe that was the intention, make us listen 100 times to eventually figure out the lyrics :D
I completely agree with your comment, earlier I saw a comment saying "this is probably the most disappointing album of the year; what happened to these guys" and I really couldn't believe it, the commenter probably didn't even listen to the whole album and didn't appreciate or even realize how much love they put into this album and how wonderful it is.

Im a fan of the first album's singing, songwriting, vibe, and overall tone. Especially the Emo aspects and im not even a big Emo fan myself. Which is probably why i really connected with the first album; it was a good hybrid of Emo with other familiar genres. I was hoping for more of the same direction with this album, and a bit disappointed going through this one. I figure that's typical when you expect the same direction out of a band's next album. None of the tracks really stuck with me :(

It's not just you. This album is lame compared to their first. Wouldn't be the first time a band only makes one good album. Remo Drive for example.
this is a LOT different from TFGBA, i'm not much a of a glass beach fan anymore (used to be), this entire album sounds like a single song for me, a very long one. i think's it's because they're all similar (at least for me)

these were also my first impressions of the album, but after a while without listening to it i gave the album a second chance, since it took them so long to produce it, and the more I listened to it, the more I loved it. don't call any album or piece something you're not sure it really is, listen to it a few times to really make sure it's not your type.
