Thank you the excellent video! One question I’ve heard concerns using this Duo with a long focal length scope, I’m working with an 9.25 SCT with reducer around 1800.
You're fine! I'm recording a video as we speak, and there's going to be an image on screen replying to this question. It was taken with the Duo on a 24 inch scope.... focal length is close to 5000, and even a few minutes looked great, and guiding was sharp.
Anything in the 60-80mm range for a refractor is a good choice of scope! For travel, the duo is an excellent camera. Once your guide camera is focused, your setup time is MUCH faster.
Ordered a ZWO 2600 mc duo back in April and still have not received. No word from ZWO regarding delivery either. Was hoping to get it in time for M42 imaging. But thanks for this info and video. Will hopefully come in handy......soon!!
Happy to see you back. This might not matter to most people considering the camera, but Iknow you've expressed this concern as well. I see it comes with a flat 1/2 meter USB cable. Can these be purchased separately? I can't find them on ZWO's website.
I am not able to find guidestars most times with DUO and Edge 8 and 0.7x reducer. hardly one or two blurry instable stars, and loses quite often. not able to even calibrate at times. focus on main camera is tact sharp. tried increasing gain and exposure no luck. tried turining fine focus knob of DUO no luck. am trying on galaxies such as whirlpool, bode's and cigars. can you (or anyone else on this thread) help what am i missing please
What I would recommend is going for a more star-rich area to find guide stars, at least to focus. Once you are focused, you should be good in other areas. It's odd that you can't find many stars. How is your back focus?
Nice, but here in rip-off UK they are currently around £2100, so, as I'm currently out of work, I'll have to make do with what I have. Which, to be fair, is adequate. 🙂 PS: your channel has been a great find. Came across it as I was looking into fitting the zwo focuser on my WO ZS61. 👍
welcome back! I was just thinking about you yesterday. Glad you are back and sounding great!
I don't think I was ready at the time! I am now :) watch for new videos, including the one I am recording as I type this!
Good to see you again Daylon! Great video as always
I wasn't totally ready to be posting. I am now! Thanks for watching it, and be ready, more vids coming :)
Welcome Back !!!!! 🎉🎉🎉
I use the ST-10 CCD on my 10" f/7. I recommend it if available
Great review sir, thanks for sharing.
Thanks Woody!

What would recommend I consider for my first travel scope on a zwo am5 mount. I don’t own a dedicated camera yet.

Sorry it's been a few months..... did you get it? If so... what was the first image?

They do sell USB cables on their site. If not, weatherproof/resistant cables work fine.
Apparently zwo just created a new website for sales. Anyway, drilling down, I did find a limited cable selection. Thank you!

Дорогой друг а эта камера подой для трубы Sky-Watcher 250/1200?
Of course! It is great on any scope.
Использование Google Translate: Конечно! Он великолепен в любых масштабах.

Thanks for the kind words, I hope your job situation changed! What camera do you have already?
I have the optolong L-Ultimate so that is a deal killer for me, not for me
I have the same filter and no problem at f7 works just fine
What's your current setup? I'm curious as to yours and truckersteve's setups.
What scope are you running with that?
