Giải phóng Miền Nam - Liberate The South (English Lyrics)

"Liberate the South" is a Vietnamese communist and patriotic song used during the war against American imperialism as the anthem of the National Liberation Front (Viet Cong). The song was written in 1961 by Vietnamese communist Lưu Hữu Phước and the lyrics urge the people of the American-occupied South Vietnam on to destroy the American invader, liberate the southern half of the country, and unite Vietnam. After the liberation of South Vietnam with the fall of Saigon (today Ho Chi Minh City) in April of 1975 "Liberate the South" saw continued popularity in unified Vietnam as a patriotic song and a song of pride for the Vietnamese people who overcame American imperialism to liberate their homeland.

@Phúc Hoàng Đăng đây là nhạc của Mặt Trận Giải Phóng miền Nam với cờ nửa đỏ nửa xanh có ngôi sao vàng ở giữa. Chính phủ Cộng Hoà Miền Nam Việt Nam với lực lượng nòng cốt là MTMNVN. Chính thể này tồn tại để tăng tính hợp pháp, chính danh cho các vùng mà Việt Nam ta đã giải phóng tại miền Nam từ tay bè lũ vịt ngan cọng hành. Tuy nhiên Cộng Hoà miền Nam Việt Nam tồn tại từ sau khi nước ta tiến vào bàn đàm phán Paris, chứ không phải từ 1976.
