- Delaney got a new @IbanezOfficial Jiva 10 at her guitar clinic in North Wales just outside of Philadelphia. The entire staff of George’s Music, Ibanez representatives and @hurricanenita were complicit in the surprise. I told her that I was only able to get her a used guitar. Nita made me honest.

I wanted to take a second to thank all the people who are calling me an awesome dad. But, it's important to note that all I did was buy a guitar. The manager offered me a stage used guitar. I mentioned that I was going to tell her that I could only get her a used guitar. Sean and the staff at George's Music took it from there. By the time it got to Jay and Ryan from Ibanez and Nita, They made it what it was. All credit goes to them. In fact, it was Nita herself who came up with the final plan. She had them tell me to ask the specific question (my daughter said that she was confused because I already knew that it was the same guitar that she uses on stage) so that she could segue into the surprise. It literally was all them. I only bought her a new guitar.

Still, there is so much you're not taking credit for. People don't just do cool stuff out of the blue for just anyone. You obviously came across as a genuine, caring, interested and involved parent. You also seem to be supportive of your daughter's passion in a very active way and that is not easy to do, nor is it obvious. I have no doubt you deserve all the praise you're getting here. Way to go, man! 🤘

Nita seems such a cool, genuine, down-to-earth person and it's great that young girls have her as a role model to aspire to.
Girls have been killing it for a while on the vocals side, as more metal-type bands figure out that girls can have the range and power wanted/needed for the songs and music they want to play too. Just great to see guitar-playing coming more into the mainstream too 🤟🤟

Nita’s awesome. She’s the reason why I started playing 2 years ago. I knew nothing about guitar but wanted to learn how to play. So I taught myself how to read music one summer and learned everything I could about guitar and practiced 2-3 hours a day. Now I practice anywhere cemeteries, parking lots, parks, sitting on the floors in dusty pawn shops playing their guitars and people compliment my playing. One person even asked me if I played in a band ! Go figure? I never thought I could play but I was determined to play. Many thanks to Nita’s own personal story of learning herself that helped me. Nita inspired me !

It was 'used'. You stayed true to your word. Great job, dad! I just gotta add that Nita was trying so hard to stay on that stage! She did a great job, but I could tell she wanted to move around so bad! That stage was too small for all that energy. Thanks for posting! Loved it!

It is really great when renowned artists such as Nita Strauss have a kind gesture towards those who adule them. I have had a personal bad experience with a very well known guitar virtuoso, who refused to autograph my guitar because it was not his signature model, or not even from the brand he was playing.
I apologized and attempted to explain the guitar was the only one I could afford, but he simply dismissed me and asked me to move on to let the next guy in the queue approach.
I do not hold any grudge, I am still a big fan of his.
I must have happened at the wrong time somehow. But I never tried again to get my guitar signed. So, kudos to Nita Strauss for being accessible and not making a big deal out of it.
She should be privileged that Nita Struss played her giva Ibanez it now has a sprinkle of Nita magic so Cool of Nita. Happy Birthday 🎈🎉🍰🎃👻
Never can get tired of watching Nita. We had a rescheduled show earlier this year because of snow in Asheville, NC. I was just there for the concert itself but I was early to the venue and someone that was there, his partner didn't show up that was supposed to for the VIP experience. I was offered the VIP ticket he had and in that little bit of time I learned so much for playing a guitar (and I hadn't strapped one on yet.) Took quite a bit of her notes and have applied them over the year and it's made a difference in my playing.
Her and Josh are a awesome couple too.

its cool that Nita doesnt see herself as a huge rock star who is above the people who come see her clinic or show.. She is humble while still being a phenominal player.. So its cool as cheesy as this whole thing is with the guitar. She still engaged with her fans personally. If your daughter continues to play and learn because of this interaction, even if it influences her alittle. It still shows her how to interact with people and that Nita is just a normal chick, a chick with a bad ass job!
Rock Star was loosely based on the experience of Tim “Ripper” Owens replacing Rob Halford in Judas Priest. Dreams DO come true.

Nita is awesome and a great player. Your daughter looked over the moon. Thanks for sharing this, it's one of those things that if it pops up for someone like it did for me, really brought a smile seeing her excitement at her guitar hero playing HER guitar.

Yes Sir. She autographed the back plate covering the tremolo springs. I'm awaiting a replacement. We're putting the autograph on the wall and the's playing the Jiva. Neither she nor I could see putting a guitar on the wall never to be played again. That instrument looks and sounds beautiful. It's begging to be played and she hasn't missed a day playing it.
I like Nita's music, with foundation josh. Both really designed stellar music, also live videos which are stellar. Cooper music is great as well, but I like the heavier tunes myself, Nita once un-leashed, any drummer must be on there toes to keep up with her, she is not only a monster, but a very mobile monster. I've only seen a few within such mobility, Nita, Kk, Evh, Young, that can multitask mobility, not compromise thoroughness. I bet even nita herself as a kid, never thought she would be able to equilvent within any above before her time legacy's. That's giving all sides arena chance to view, balanced performer nita. As well as her voice, pretty as ever, she has such a feminine pretty voice that within back up vocals, really enhances tracts. Demi her new unit vocalist also has very pretty female voice, combined it's unique. Not to say male vocals are sub-standard, but girls have them beat due to tone that there born with.

I was there that day sitting right in the front row with the backwards cap. The other funny thing of this story, is that I bought one a couple months later, and it was the one she used on stage at Sam Ash in NYC
Is it all it’s cracked up to be? I’m very much considering ordering one 🤔. When your Marshall tube amp costs more then your guitar it’s time to upgrade your guitar 😂. Been leaning towards this one and I like that it’s only 7 pounds

Peter, yes. Nita signed it. We asked her to sign the tremolo cover backplate so that my daughter could play the guitar without ruining the autograph. We have another backplate coming.

When i discovered Musicworks here in Auckland nz - the authourised Ibanez dealer they said she came to NZ and Oz as a sponsored trip gave a very impressive demo apparently.
I bought the gold Pia from them as i had the cash but yeah I’m saving up for this.

@TheStig I told her I was getting a used guitar for her. I did not tell her that it was actually brand new and being used by Nita. She was VERY surprised by that. In fact, at the 50 second mark you can see her head snap forward and shake yes, then her rocking back and forth in excitement when Nita asked her permission to play the guitar. She. Had. No. Idea.
