She kinda sucks in my book. No one will leave you alone because you can just kill their creatures whenever you want, but you just wanna trigger enrage. They just keep blowing up your commander and while you can use the fight to defend yourself and trigger enrage a little, after she keeps dying, you'll probably switch her out for another dinosaur commander pretty quick. It sucks but it's true.

@@josephpayton7522 100% Agree, i had this issue with similar commandres like Vaevictis, your opponents realize really fast that killing your commander is a 2 for 1, they delay you but also are free to play their stuff without the fear of Wayta's removal.
Wayta also doubles your Stuffy Doll, Brash Taunters, Boros Reckoners, etc. Star of Extinction with Wayta in play allows Brash Taunter to deal 40 damage to each opponent.
1:16 Worth noting that Pantlaza, and seemingly all the discover cards, are ETB triggers, not cast triggers like cascade, meaning if you can find ways to blink Pantlaza or your other dinosaurs you can trigger him/her on your opponents' turns.
That's what is so cool about discover. Now you can cascade off of attack triggers, combat damage triggers, upkeep triggers, drawing your second card in a turn triggers. Just so much more room for development.
I have a dinosaur deck that's been one of my favorites since original Ixalan, so I've been super excited for this deck! As I expected/feared, all of the dinosaur-specific reprints are cards that I already have, so I was pleasantly surprised to see so many pricy generic staples like Xenagos, Akroma's Will, and Chandra's Ignition. That plus the awesome new cards make this an easy pick up for me, despite 85% of the deck being stuff I already have as a certified dinosaur enthusiast. At least it will bring prices down for everyone else; I was shocked to see how much prices on so many of the original Ixalan dinosaurs have crept up in the years since they were first printed. I'm especially interested in Wayta as an enrage-focused commander option that feels a lot like a dinosaur-themed version of Neyith of the Dire Hunt.

I really REALLY like the face commander for leading a naya blink deck (with a few of the best dinosaurs chucked in to help you trigger higher discovers more often) - you even get to put in a lot of the cards that are powerful in Faldorn - basically I think being able to blink and therefore discover at instant speed on your opponents turn is bonkers, or, with sorcery speed blink just blinking the commander to get multiple discovers a turn will end games very quickly
I already have a dinosaur tribal deck, so i already have some of these cards. But i was missing Zacama, Ripjaw Raptor and Wayward Swordtooth, so that will be a nice addition. The cards from the new set seem good to, gonna be a lot of fun optimizing this deck
Wayta can benefit from Runed Stalactite which gives equipped creature changeling and Nesting Grounds if it is not included in this deck would be able to move finality counters to your opponents’ creatures

wrathful raptors r gonna be really good its jsut wrathful red dragon that i use in my Miirym deck which has won me many games using chain reaction or blasphemous act or star of extinction granted Miirym has alot more copies of stuff but still it will do alot of damage

So I'm sure this is a common gripe, but it bothers me that the battlebond lands do not show up in every precon. They are made for Commander lands that should be really cheap and could go in every 3 color deck, if not more.

Since it names Scion of Calamity in the trigger to destroy the artifacts/enchantments, as long as all tokens survive and so does the original, each scion would trigger for each one that does combat damage meaning a potential of up to nine triggers of artifact/enchantment destruction. Just a you know pretty crazy thought.
That's not how Magic works. Whenever a card uses its own name like that it means "this object". Contrast Biovisionary, which does have the wording to work like you want.

Based on how you said it here that means in the video he is innocent about the Gishath trigger off of sunfrill. So either it works like that and he is wrong about scion or it doesn't and he is wrong about sunfrill.

I love how Wayta fights with your own dinos to "train" them, and then she can sick them on your opponents.
She will probably be using Stuffy Doll and Brash Taunter as honorary dinosaurs as well because their triggers get copied as well.

They just announced distribution issues so these decks might be hard to get and inflated in price. Decks look good though and the review was nice

Does Sunfrill Imitator actually work with Gishath? I thought once it becomes Gishath it is already attacking and Gishath's ability would not trigger?
gishath is not an attack trigger, it's a damage trigger so yes it works

It would work as long as Gishath is the one that does the damage as Gishath would trigger itself and the imitator.

Funnily enough on Scryfall it's showing up as the regular art in the precon. So I have no idea why it's not listed in the correct area 😂
