Hello @Kevon Anderson, I used a pair of large plyers to rempve the clamps. The old ones are unfortunately not reusable so I simply used some small hose clamps that were picked up at a local auto supply store.
Sorry so slow. My check engine light came on, I ran a diagnostic check with my OBD11 scan tool, and it told me I had a vacuum leak. From there, I started listening under the hood. It was easy to pinpoint where the leak was coming from. I pulled out my flash light and started looking between the inlets for the intake manifold. It wasn't hard to find
Hello, I'm not sure exactly what part you're speaking of. Is it something that I may have changed in the video? Or is this something that you have on your vehicle that needs to be changed?
Thanks for posting this. I have brittle hoses so I am also looking for the combination of hoses and the little valve you re showing at 7:03. Not sure if I can access it without removing the intake. Do you have any part numbers?
Sorry for the delayed response. This is the link to the part I purchased www.europaparts.com/pcv-hose-kit-058198753d.html I'm not sure where you are located but I hope this helps
Hey what was your car doing? I’m not able to build positive boost and when I accelerate about 0 psi would a cracked breather hose do that oh I have a b5 Passat also not sure if it’s the same but the vacuum hose on the intake was supposed to go down to the blowoff… atleast mine does and my car has the diagram on it
@@jakobcurtis9751 no sadly I couldn’t figure it out at all I brought it to vw they said I needed a new cpu and after I put 2k back into it I was over the car and sold it. Sorry I couldn’t help.
You are correct @Manoah if you are speaking about Roman Numbers. I actually have an OBD Eleven Pro scan tool. It works on VW, Audis, Skoda, Seats, Bentleys and Lamborghinis. This tool does connect to the OBD2 port.
The goat best description and guide on pcv system for a VW/Audi 1.8t no forum or video described it well as you keep it up 💪💪
Thanks for making this vid. It helped me sort out the pcv on my 2000 a4
@randombanana Glad I could be of assistance.
Great post. Same A4 B5 ATW 1.8t. doing similar maintenance. Rock out !
Thank you for posting this! I'm about to do the same job.
You can do it!
Where does the little port on the check valve of the pcv run too? Been trying to figure that out...
ima try you're method tomorrow. good video
Thank You @Andrew Apple
This car teaches you, I hope you don't ever have to do a timing belt and timing chain tensioner at the same time! This car has both, lol.
how did you remove the old pcv clamps and where did you get new ones ?

@@curbsidemechanic3229 thanks for the reply mane i’ll try it out!
I’m curious what issues you were experiencing while driving that made you track down the crank case his breather.

What fault scanner is this
I use an OBD Eleven Pro scan tool. It works on VW, Audis, Skoda Seat, Bentley Lamborghini and now BMWs as well.

OBD II means OBD 2, not 11 ;)

@@curbsidemechanic3229 Didn't know that, thanks for the reply! Owning an A4 B5 1.8t myself I might need a scanner like that....
Obd 11 :D
Lousy design Vw Audi notorious for substandard rubber and plastic parts
As long as they are able to be replaced, it's OK with me.
