Wow, I know the family that these two cars belong to. My freinds dad took us to london in the red one when l was about 16, we were late for a party on the way back so the journey was rapid. There was a song about the green one, here am l in my flashy green 3si.
First time I saw a 3.0si, I was on the way through Anglesey on the way to the Holyhead ferry. It was at a fuel stop, I was in a 3.0 capri at around 70mph. 15 minutes later the BM came past like I was standing still. Fantastic. I did end up with an S later on which was a great car until it showed cam wear and I couldn’t afford to fix it. For me these were some of the best around.🔥
This is amazing, what a find, I love these. A friend of mine has a 1973 one and it's lovely to drive. One of the most beautiful BMWs ever made. Looking forward to see the progress on these
This video came up on suggestions and glad it did, two lovely cars. I guess the brakes and tyres were ok when moved to that shed a few years ago. Hope you record the restoration .
The 3.0 SI was once the fastest accelerating saloon car in the world. Beautiful looking cars, 3.3Lia was a favourite, so much nicer than BMW designs of today.
Beautiful cars, I was fortunate to have a 3.3lia as my smoker in my late teens. Car trader at the time, breaks my heart to think of the cars I had then as smokers but moved on
I owned two E3 BMW’s one was a 3.0si FTM224L blue with blue leather interior and a vinal roof, my biggest regret was selling that. The other was a 3.0s automatic GDX393L again in blue with rare headlight wash/wipe and a full length wabasto roof, so many great memories. I would love to know if they’re still around.
Hi, we have three E28 M5 projects on the go at present, RHD car number 66, RHD car 106 which is sadly on pause at the moment and LHD car 038 which is 99% finished and various content will appear on this project over the next few weeks/months. Haben sie eine guten tag.

D Jetronic doesn't use an air flow meter. It uses manifold pressure to work out the fuelling.
Of course you are correct, I got muddled up with L-Jet. Feeling silly now 🤦♂️
@@classicbahnstormers246 Ah don't worry. The only issue these days is parts. Converting it to Motronic 1.3 could be a plan.
Great BMW salvage and barnfind content! You've got yourself a sub!

The green car was last taxed in September 1983.The red one December 1983. They don't build cars like that anymore.
