Comics show scenarios where Yautja humans, engineers, and various xenomorph creatures fight. Prometheus fire and stone comic features a hunter predator named Ahab. I would say the comics are worth reading just for him, this Yautja kills pretty much everything by himself.
All this shows is that there needs to be more Predator movies. It seems like the predators have a lot of interesting lore, and the story of how they hunt the best of the best is what makes them as an antagonist so great.

They show the predator plenty, there’s hardly any cuts during the fight scenes, they didn’t ruin a female lead by making every line about how she’s a woman and she’s so powerful. They make her a badass not by shoving it down our mouths but by showing us as the story progresses, we see her learn ways to fight it without her explaining it all to the camera. There is definitely flaws but when it comes to what people watch the movie for, it delivers.

Makes me wonder if they weren’t doing that before, an interesting theory I posit is that the main characters of the movies aren’t truly the “main character” until the Predator shows up, and they’re “forced” to survive. But what if they’re just getting in their heads, literally, and forcing them to become something new, something worthy of the hunt.

I was thinking the same thing. The sizes are a little different of what we see in the game and the movie, but I am chalking that to the different life cycles an Amengi might have.
Not from Amengi, the Skull is from a river ghost. It looks similar because the river ghosts are also insectoids, probably a subspecies of the amengi. Basically this means that the feral predator was also hunting loong time ago on the game preserve planet.(my speculation)

I like how the Yautja turned the tables on the Amengi and saw Prey. It's good not as good as the first 2 but solid and I liked how the predator looked more primitive with weapons not quite as advanced as later on but prey is a good prequel non the less. Some of his decisions were questionable but it was a fun flick.

Dudes mask with lasers gets knocked off, and he still fires all 3 of his projectiles that only go where the lasers are pointing. If you told a 4 year old Human that their mask had lasers that their nerf darts would fly to when they shot their nerf guns, and then took their mask and asked them to fire it, they'd say no. And when you asked why they'd say cuz the darts aren't going to hit my target they'll just go where the lasers are. Despite the design of the predator under the skull mask I enjoyed the Prey film but for years after deep diving into the origins with the comics and how them and the xenomorphs and creator of the xenomorphs/ Engineers connect, with the extensive back stories of individual yatjuas and the different classes and societies they're part of along with some having relationships with notable human characters they have helped or trained, I would like to see a Movie that had just them and their world involving a new blood. I know its hard because people hate to read and the dialogue would just be series of growls and clicks.

This video gets a thumbs up from me. However, the best thing about the Predator/P2/Prey - no nonsense exposition. There is just the Hunter and the Hunt. We don’t need to know about their habits or religion or history. The more exposition is given, the less awesome the Predator becomes. I say - render everything, except P1-2, maybe Prey, non canon.
I find it odd that they got rid of Jean Claude because he is smaller than the other actors. I mean, he's playing an alien with incredible hunting abilities and advanced tech. Him being smaller shouldn't have mattered because this is fiction, even if the alien was only 3 feet tall, it could still be stronger, more durable and more vicious than any human. Anyway, the replacement they went with is certainly better.
If the studio heads really want to get the predator and alien franchise back to it's Hollywood big screen popularity; a few things should happen. Make it R rated, don't be afraid to explore other planets, and read the comics for once. So much lore that can be exploited and has yet to be touched on. Honestly I'd love to see another aliens versus predator movie; but only as a remake and again; needs an R rating thats deserving of said rating. This time though; create a blueprint and give them more of a reason to fight. An idea could be bringing back Arnold Schwarzenegger and have him investigate another predator in another jungle somewhere in the world as a consultant by Weyland industries. And the person who he ends up teaming up with happens to be a grandparent to Ripley. And while both Ripley's ancestor and Dutch are exploring they encounter another ancestor of a human hunter from the comics. At the end of the climax of the movie the predator teams up with them to take on a xenomorph Queen alien and after killing the Queen they all set up an alien hunting team. In the post credits we see Weyland experimenting and created other alien breeds like the xenomorph King. We also see a few test tubes of other Xenomorphs aliens. The sequel then would acknowledge the events via computer files from Ripley and characters from the comics while finding ways of taking down any predator and alien Xenomorphs hunting them.

What would make a great new Predator movie is have them hunt a species that is neither human nor the Aliens. Humans of course could be in the movie 🎬 but have a species that are just as dangerous as the Aliens 👽 and even more unpredictable. Time for a new more challenging hunt.

If the Amengi were featured in the Alien and/or Predator film canon, that would’ve been awesome, as they could represent the Weyland Yutani Corporation even when it comes to weaponizing Xenomorphs, which is why the Yautjas use Xenomorphs as hunting grounds rather than weapons to prove themselves as worthy warriors.
There’s a completely new threat in the extended canon. And they have weaponized Xenos… Even so much so that the Yautjas make an alliance with the Humans… With the UACM still existing… With the tech gap closed we’re on much different terms with the Yautja. They still kick our ass but we kill one of theirs for every 4 or 5 of ours… The Rage War it’s called… 3 books.. First, focuses on the Predator Alliance… Second book, deals with the Aliens… Third book, Finishes out the conflict… My point is that WY was on the right track. The Xenos, if managed, could be the dominant force in the galaxy..
Shouldn't the movie title be The Poacher? On another note, I'd pay to see the Yautja hunt the Engineers from the Aliens prequels! They can even retcon it so that the xenomorphs were created to exterminate the Yautja, pretty much anything is better than the quasi existential stuff that's been used so far.

I use that skin in the game except it makes you wait 10 minutes to be the predator so it's a horrible fun experience

I find it odd that they got rid of Jean Claude because he is smaller than the other actors. I mean, he's playing an alien with incredible hunting abilities and advanced tech. Him being smaller shouldn't have mattered because this is fiction, even if the alien was only 3 feet tall, it could still be stronger, more durable and more vicious than any human. Anyway, the replacement they went with is certainly better.
If the studio heads really want to get the predator and alien franchise back to it's Hollywood big screen popularity; a few things should happen. Make it R rated, don't be afraid to explore other planets, and read the comics for once. So much lore that can be exploited and has yet to be touched on. Honestly I'd love to see another aliens versus predator movie; but only as a remake and again; needs an R rating thats deserving of said rating. This time though; create a blueprint and give them more of a reason to fight. An idea could be bringing back Arnold Schwarzenegger and have him investigate another predator in another jungle somewhere in the world as a consultant by Weyland industries. And the person who he ends up teaming up with happens to be a grandparent to Ripley. And while both Ripley's ancestor and Dutch are exploring they encounter another ancestor of a human hunter from the comics. At the end of the climax of the movie the predator teams up with them to take on a xenomorph Queen alien and after killing the Queen they all set up an alien hunting team. In the post credits we see Weyland experimenting and created other alien breeds like the xenomorph King. We also see a few test tubes of other Xenomorphs aliens. The sequel then would acknowledge the events via computer files from Ripley and characters from the comics while finding ways of taking down any predator and alien Xenomorphs hunting them.

original and the first couple predator films the predator actor was Kevin peter hall and he was actually admittedly the best person to work with everyone else! That played the predator was complaining about not having enough oxygen inside of the suit the black dude was the one that was able to stay in the suit damn there all day!! God bless The real Americans!

Big John Studd was casted for the predator but was too big for a costume to be made for him.
What would make a great new Predator movie is have them hunt a species that is neither human nor the Aliens. Humans of course could be in the movie 🎬 but have a species that are just as dangerous as the Aliens 👽 and even more unpredictable. Time for a new more challenging hunt.

If the Amengi were featured in the Alien and/or Predator film canon, that would’ve been awesome, as they could represent the Weyland Yutani Corporation even when it comes to weaponizing Xenomorphs, which is why the Yautjas use Xenomorphs as hunting grounds rather than weapons to prove themselves as worthy warriors.

There’s a completely new threat in the extended canon. And they have weaponized Xenos… Even so much so that the Yautjas make an alliance with the Humans… With the UACM still existing… With the tech gap closed we’re on much different terms with the Yautja. They still kick our ass but we kill one of theirs for every 4 or 5 of ours… The Rage War it’s called… 3 books.. First, focuses on the Predator Alliance… Second book, deals with the Aliens… Third book, Finishes out the conflict… My point is that WY was on the right track. The Xenos, if managed, could be the dominant force in the galaxy..

They can even retcon it so that the xenomorphs were created to exterminate the Yautja, pretty much anything is better than the quasi existential stuff that's been used so far.
