We stayed in the 20th, the people were friendly and there was always something different every night, local outdoor fashion show for small boutique, live music, artists opening up their houses, hotel not up to scratch, but we had a great time exploring Paris by day and local entertainment by night.

I lived in the 19th not far from the Buttes Chaumont, but for two years babysat a little boy (who’s now almost 14!) whose parents (separated) lived one on rue de Belleville and the other on rue de Ménilmontant. I saw another comment about it, too: the first T is pronounced. I spent a lot of time in that area and loved it a lot. Thanks for an updated (for me) view!

So much memories!! On my 1st solo visit to Paris, the metro shut down on republique. I had to walk to Pyrenees. Simply love the areas it’s not touristy. Hope it won’t become gentrified much.
Belleville is my favorite part in Paris and I can't rediscover much in this video since we can mostly only see the faces of the (friendly, enthousiastic and ...very talkative) youtuber and his girlfriend and pretty nothing of this very particular part of Paris, its streets, its facades, its inhabitants etc. A lot of must-go areas/streets are not mentioned, and from the fascinating rue de Belleville and rue de Ménilmontant you can see barely anything. But maybe I just missed the point since I wasn't able to listen to this flow of words ;)
I always go to the market and pick up those neat and cool sandwiches, salads and pasta on my first day in Paris to avoid going to a closed restaurant at 5pm. 😆
So pleased you got your titre de sejour finally. Wow those pizzas looked delicious - a bit like the pizzas at the place up the road from me. That’s a pretty cool looking area of the city !

You don't have to walk up the hill, just take the Metro and walk down! You can go through Buttes Chaumont on your way down!👍😘✨⚜️
