Pure nostalgia of 2008 - 2012 firing up the 360 and playing the everliving fuck out of 3 and reach with your friends grinding out the multiplayer and having sleepless nights playing forge and custom games
I've never owned or really played any halo game prior to this. once i booted this up for the first time on my deck yesterday, i fucking 𝔸𝕊ℂ𝔼ℕ𝔻𝔼𝔻. what a great way to be introduced to this monumental franchise.
Being born in 99 I pretty much grew up with Halo. Thank you Halo, for helping shape my childhood. Thank you Bungie for creating this masterpiece and 343i continuing it though I don’t agree with quite a bit with what they’re doing. Halo is still my all time favorite.
Same here pal, I still have the games but my older brother has the original Xbox console. We both love to keep to remember those memories and day we both use to play as a kid. But now we are adult still play all the classic games.
Honestly not a bad place to start. Next check out Halo 2's "Unforgotten" and "Heavy Price Payed." Those are definitely some all-time fan favorites of this series.
Good one! Don't forget to check out some of the Halo 2 and 3 tracks as well! Also the Reach and ODST ones are a bit different but they are also pretty epic. Even some of Halo 4 tracks (like 117) are really cool
This music is so deep it actually touches all the pain and emotions all the marines and master chief has gone through to achieve their missions.. Halo is so much more than just a game for so many of us.. ❤❤❤❤

Been playing a lot of MCC recently, especially with Halo Infinite on the Horizon, and got my lifetime buddies to hop on it again and whenever we're in the main menu at the same time for some reason, we just... will talk with the music going on in the background for about 30-45 minutes reminiscing. Not just about when the game came out or what legendary mission we had the most trouble with.. but, where we were at the time. What popular songs were out at the time.. What we were going through.. at the time. Music has always been a huge part of my life and it's shaped me into the man I am today and I will forever thank Martin O'Donnel for gracing us with his masterpieces. Thank you for everything.

I just can't bring myself to click on one of the games, is just to nostalgic for me, even tough i've never actually played this games (except for CE)
Oh, the chills... so many feelings, so many memories... when I saw it on steam was instant buy, no thinking about it. Instabought and played. Halo is top tier games with Mass effect trilogy, no doubt.
Nah. They killed the franchise with Halo 4. They massacred cortona bad. I understand that they kept the ball rolling but jesus they did a bad job. They gave the most important, closest charcter to the fans bullshit dementia the first chance they got and it wasnt even for a good reason! "Rampancy"? Seriously? In the future we have space crafts, energy weapons, humans augmented into walking military weapons, but if you leave an AI on for too long it starts to deteriorate because of the data its collected? They could have said it gravemind infected her with the logic plague and it would have been 10x better. Not to mention 4 out of the 7 years she got in her life span was spent drifting in space, talking to herself and chief while he was asleep and updating "firmware" but even if they HAD to do something to Cortana forcing us to slowly watch the one charcter who we were safe with, loved and adored slowly deteriorate before our eyes is just straight up cruel. Then if that wasnt bad enough they decided to add a bunch of book lore to the games that most of the fanbase doesn't read. And AGAIN even if ignoring that, they turned the convent into a secondary threat. I can honestly forgive 343 for the book lore, i can forgive them for making AI bullet sponges, I can forgive them for turning the main bad guys of the game series into a joke and instead of making new intreasting villians they bring in a new species that no one likes but is too afraid to dedicate themselves to it so they bring back the old but shit on that too. Its wishy washy as is all their decisons for halo but i can forgive that. I can even forgive them for Spartan ops lack of replay value, i can forgive them for copying other aspects of popular multiplayers and putting it in halo, i can forgive them for removing reach weapons instead of building them. Hell, i can forgive them so easily for the horrid powerups? Like running is a powerup? SERIOUSLY? BUT, the one thing I can absolutely NOT forgive is turning one of the most iconic and beloved charcters in franchise history, who has the same popularity if not more then master chief(because of windows Cortana) is Cortona herself. How can you turn the voice of comfort for the badass Chief into a violent dementia patient THEN a full on villian!? Its unforgivable. Even if they turned her back to good they screwed themselves. Its like halo 4 and onwards is John-117's nightmare while in cryosleep. Id accept that as canon over halo 4 and onwards anyday
Unwearied Heart feels like the perfect expression of strength in fear, persistence in grief. Its tracks like this that can really make you visualize someone brought to their knees.

Anybody who has grown up since at least 2009 or before you know why your group is a mark on gaming today's games are good but just look at the games that we had not just Halo but everything everything that was made before 2013 and appreciate how great those games are if you were born then around then before then then you know this feeling take a moment to appreciate it and a moment to wish you had it back
Just finished all games, including ODST and the Anniversary extensions..... I'm not going to say this is a perfect game series. And it's definitely not bad either.... But... It really gives you an experience to say the least... It's..... beautiful in a way... Despite everything I've heard and not heard about each game, how some were good and some were bad, they were created to give a unique experience, and in the end, that's all that matters to me... :')

One the best fps online outhere! Please don change my mind about that! Other fps games are focusing on strategy, tactical, realism or just idiot players using glitchs and tricks to surpass the others unfarly but halo its 100% arcade. And focused on intense firefights and sometimes dump action fisics but is the charm of this franchise. Don need to be realistic, only need to be fun
I listen to this when I need to calm down or need to get a better headspace I don't know what is it about Halo music or that just beginning opening but it is the most soothing most relaxing thing of all time
