Here is the link to the original video where I got the idea to the parting tool support. It wasn't cats, it was a dog he showed as his channel icon. I must admit I did not watch this video through and through, it just showed up as a preview where I saw the support and realised it might be a good solution. Anyway, I highly recommend the solution, and give this guys video a view if you're interested. th-cam.com/video/5MtEzl36OEo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=GtzXIPsBZcqwLNks
Actually I don't have space for any fixed equipment either, well maybe only my 3D printer is an exception. Everything else needs to be luggable so I can stick it on a shelf, or at least shuffle around to make space. The mini-lathe is good in this respect, even with all its short falls. Thanks for the comment!

Great work! I really want a lathe, but I don’t currently have room for one,

@@ForOurGood that a good point, maybe I need to think about how I use my tools. Which lathe did you buy?
@@Cybernetic_Systems I am using a version of the venerable Chinese Mini-Lathe, it's been around forever. Check my mini-lathe series for more info.
@@ForOurGood cheers, I’ll go watch it
