    How much did it cost, did it reduce your routine maintenance in terms of time or product, explain something

    I use the same brand (GTECHNIQ crystal Serum and exo) on my truck about 4 years ago. I liked it so much, I also applied the marine version on my boat. I really like how easy it is to clean and dry. I usually just take a leaf blower to it for drying, followed by a towel. I personally think it is worth it, but I applied it myself. A lot of time gets put in the prep as they show. Applying the coating is the easiest part. To me it's worth it, but I don't mind spending a few days during the winter to do this - plus I have a much smaller boat (key west 239FS) so doing it myself is manageable. One key thing to note is this is not going to keep off water spots. It's not a miracle product and does wear off. But for me the ease of cleaning and drying makes it worth it for the truck and boat.

    Excellent Video!. I always wondered if the ceramic was flexible enough to put on Fiberglass gel coat. Gale Force looks Awesome! AND>> This may sound silly, but since your boat now has a SUPER Hydrophobic "Skin" , will the fuel economy increase?

    Hey girls, you never did say... how much did it cost, and what was the total downtime? That is the deciding factor for most boat owners.

      I agree, what is the point of putting "is it worth it" in the title without a price. I googled it and found the cost to be $95-$150 per foot so average for a 30' boat would be close to $3800. That better last for a couple years at that price.

      1-2 years typically with proper application and maintenance

      @@craigtaraszki3665, I was asking how long the boat will be out of service to have the ceramic applied. Also, the average cost.

      @@ericthered976 I charge $100 per foot and I believe the Gtechniq coating is a 3 year ceramic

      @@ericthered976 it caust 100 per bottle, i can see 2 bottles.. i bet i can under cut that price... i also dont have that over head to factor in.. could take a few days from prep to cure enough to return to the customer... 3 to 4 top's..

    I used the Gtechniq products on my glass, but haven't ventured to ceramic. My current favorite products (Starke) are from Marine Detail Supply in Ft Myers. That panel wipe looks interesting.

    I did my boat but I used DPC coatings. They are also on my truck as well. They really make the colors pop.

    One dig two cycle engine one big one is it 45 does the same thing as 2 cycle motor cheaper used good rebilled cheaper replace water pump boat lee gas is Willie Nelson gas if you're going to go diesel in much faster which reliable with a shorter shaft but I would use on it on the boat two cycle engine with a shorter shaft cheaper

    How did they get to the hull parts resting on the supports/beds? I’m guessing it’s in a marina garage so they jacked it up to get those parts.

    The timing of this was perfect since I am considering getting my boat ceramic coated. What dealer did you use for the application? I am assuming Gtech just manufactures the product and doesn't apply? Thanks!

    As you know, you guys have a killer boat! These maintenance/operational videos show just how, I would say proud, but based on your faith I'll say blessed, you ladies are to have such a tool. You take care of your stuff, minus the dirty shoes.

    Does it make the deck slippery?

  • @chrishaney2774
    @chrishaney2774 ปีที่แล้ว

    I have always been curious if it would increase fuel mileage since it creates such a slippery surface. Less drag equals better mileage

    • @brianlb78
      @brianlb78 ปีที่แล้ว

      It doesn't, some will say it does just using what you said as their reason but there has yet to be any proof to show it does. It also adds weight but that doesn't mean it increases fuel usage. What helps fuel usage is getting the boat out of the water. That's why some(not always) 4 blade props will help with mpg at cruise because they give more stern lift. Any decrease in drag due to these products be slicker is negated by the small amount of extra weight they also add.
