UPDATE: Revised my opinion to 8/10, they fixed the event node not giving Jade BPS in hotfix 1!
UPDATE 2: Some more info on my opinion from a reply to another comment. below there be spoilers
SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS: In my play through we were able to figure out the story within the first scene of Jade standing over the Stalker, with it being confirmed once it was mentioned "she's sending her energy to something else". Sure maybe not predictable within the context of only warframe, but predictable none the less in a story telling sense. And yes maybe with the whole Granum corpus thing being different, but also remember that Granum only puts on the face of being "the better more reasonable" corpus when in the background, he and his Sisters commit and perpetuate HORRORS both before the fall of the orokan and after his return. That one sister yelling "stop" felt to me like some r/menwritingwomen kind of "motherly instinct kick in" BS, especially when we take into account the corpus literal farming of children/people on Venus for spare parts, which is still happening post narmer and granum returning (iirc). Yes there are always outliers in groups of people, absolutely, and humanity does strike some villain's in many stories, but it kind of just felt... forced? Maybe I'm just jaded (pun intended).
Also, like I said in the review, it's not a bad thing either, the story was VERY good even if it was predictable and cliche. We DO NEED these feel good moments in a game where farming people for parts isn't an uncommon occurrence, and adding some character depth to some of these people who've been in the game for over a decade now is FANTASTIC! I'm glad DE is taking some risks with the story like this, and I'm VERY excited to see where it goes. Still fantastic, and even with my criticism, I really really enjoyed it. Thanks for the comment and your opinion!

You skipped over the part that Corpus is split into two factions right now, Parvos's Corpus and Nef Anyo's Corpus.
Nef's Corpus is the Corpus that's farming children and people's body parts and working them to death, Parvos himself disagreed with Nef's practices as he believed no child should suffer the debt of a parent.

I think the reason she made the soldiers stop shooting was that somewhere, past all that greed and corruption, there was a good person, potentially someone who wanted to be a parent themselves. Remember that shes not the only corpus to have a change of heart. Veso from new war made it very clear to us that not everyone is willing to kill for profit. This is just my idea of why the ending felt so unnatural for a corpus

To be fair, corpus having feelings is not really a new concept. Let's just say some of them have been sleepin' in the cold below. Others have decided that no matter if they betray the board, their own company, or anyone really, they'll do the right thing and attack the Narmer. And others decided that there is still something human in them, enough at least to not kill a baby.
Also why nerf? Jade is pretty balanced.

The way I explained it to a buddy of mine as a joke (I was VERY stoned at the time) but it kinda made sense in a weird way, was that the Sister gave the Stalker a pass because what he held hadn't became a financial liability, YET.
I meant it only as a joke, but now it genuinely makes sense. The Sister mentioned that the Stalker didn't usually make trouble for them, unlike Tenno. She also knew he was a serious threat to Warframes, and by letting Stalker leave, it could not only ensure her immediate survival, but possibly could give her a bargaining chip to get some help from him. She may think of it as making friends with a stray cat long enough to get it to kill all the mice in your place.

About the Corpus letting The Stalker get away... Idk it felt pretty ok to me because americans always have this trope in stories about protecting the children because they are the most precious thing in the world, I've gotten used to it.
Also it felt like it wasn't just because "don't kill children" but also because this was a miracle that happened for the first time ever in this world.

It really is just lazy writing to have essentially a joke which is the full scope of the story and only show the punchline.
Just imagine if we had a mission with Excalibur Jade and stalker as humans fighting with each other over their views during their mission and stalker leaving in a big way leading to his downfall. More scenes with Jade to show her femininity and improve our understanding of her motivations.
THEN show her death. That would have an impact. Frankly I cant say why anyone should care about Jade we have no idea who she is or what she's done.

What I'm saying is at least they doing it right and keeping us coming back for 8+ yrs plus I work to much for more quests n don't want the game to end when it ends it ends the appeal of the game u Kno how much amazing games I beat n delete.

most likely sooner tbh, DE does like to release things during tennocon on occasion. But either way, I don't see how those two things would connect. Albrecht left long before anything to do with jade and **SPOILER** (whispers in the wall cutscene had him leaving before the fall of Deimos), imo I assume they are two different storylines, maybe they'll connect again in some other trope-y "angel comes to save the day in the past in an alternate timeline/dimension" thing, but I'd expect that it's not directly connected. Also wouldn't be the first time that DE has had multiple non-connected plots going at once.

    The story is about humanity.
All enemies, are still human. We see it in the world, and the Origin system is no excuse.
The corpus crave a better life, some are greedy, some want hapiness for theyr friends and family.
The grineer want to be strong, like the Sisterhood that once inspiored them, and brought the grineer where they are today.
The Warframes are destroyed, ruined lifes, bodies and minds.
But underneath it there is still a human heart.
The word logic is very stretched when we have fantasy rogue-like world in the void, but when it comes to this quest, i have little to no issues.

give it a good look over, it's an actually insane weapon, 4m radius aoe, a ton of multishot for all of your allies, slash based, very good hybrid crit/status. Try it out with a Primed Firestorm, spec'ed out for a frame with 100% armour strip (pillage is my go to), and you should see the light (pun intended)

Even though I have as always enjoyed the music the emotions DE have put into this, I didn't enjoy the pacing and writing of the quest.
Hunhow immediately bringing up the Tenno and Stalker's sulking responses felt hastily written, his and Jade's backstory could have been explored more/better.
The pregnancy reveal felt pretty sudden and was lacking proper setup as well. It makes no sense that Stalker would continue walking towards the corpus who are shooting at him, trusting that somehow they would recognize the child in his arms and stop shooting for some reason. Warframe pregnancy was not even slightly explained, also, was she lying there pregnant for however many hundreds of years since the old war, or did she somehow become pregnant recently? Also also, has she lain there in Stalker's and Hunhow's base for all this time we have known him? Did I miss something about how/when she appeared there?

I think you might need to rewatch! I say the exact word "it's not a bad thing" and say how feel good moments are needed in the game. Also there was no indication of divinity other than the theme, so let's not jump to conclusions of the anti-wally just yet haha

Why would you want her to be nerf shes not that op shes a a fucking sitting duck in the air shes so squishy that you need defensive mods to make her work and you need to combo her skills to do damage unlike other frames that has a one skill kill button and still i dont want them to be nerf because thats the point of being a space robot ninja they need to be OP to be fun to play because the game is PVE oriented not PVP

Mission is boring af, frame is cool. Weapons are cool, not awesome but cool. Status changes and armor were thr only thing that mattered in this update. 4/10 anything higher is just you being a super fan boy with low expectations

    • @Lone_Wandering0
      @Lone_Wandering0 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

Ehhh debatable, much like the apostasy prologue this was merely setting up story notes later down the line. Calling anyone a "super fan boy" also implies that your opinion is objective.
