I'm so glad that you have a great hospital! I had a scheduled c-section for my first (and only so far) while living in Korea and it was a nightmare... I'd love to have a VBAC later on, but in the event of another c-sec I hope it's at a good hospital!

I am glad you did not feel the need to explain yourself. We all make he best decisions for ourselves. Everyone else doesn't know the whole story no matter how much you try to tell them. You really handled it the best way you could. I had two c-sections, one was a very rushed emergency and the other was simi planned but at 36 weeks and the baby had NICU time. The second time was a lot better since I knew I was having a c-section and we were both stable but since I wasn't as sick I was more aware of what was happening and that made it a little scary. My midwife was super calming even more than my husband. LOL I requested that my cath be done after I was numb because I had a very painful experience the first time around.

I had two c section. First one was an emergency my poor baby had his cord around his neck and my second baby well he was ready at 37 weeks and of course I had a c section that morning. But overall sec time around so much better. But happy to see you back missed your videos!

I'm glad you shared this I had a vaginal birth with my son, but I have feared getting a c section in case of an emergency so it's nice to hear how the process kinda goes

i had my 3rd C-section may 10th 2016. was the first time I got nauseous after thebspinal and after bby was born. then i felt like a couldn't breathe. when they were closing me up i felt a pain in mybchest they said it was normal cuz they were tugging on my uterus. all my 3 C-sections were all different experiences. 1st was due to no progression i never dilated. 2nd was emergency due to high blood pressure at 28 weeks. 3rd was cuz i got prego when 2nd baby was 2 months & they didnt let me try vbac to prevent rupturing.

I actually got to hold my son right after my emergency c-section and my arms weren't strapped down either. It went better then I thought though. Just wish I could have seen him being pulled out though.

1st congrats ... you look great !!!!! Yeah I had 2 c sections so far out of 8 kids and 10 births.The second one was a lil more painful 1st one was not bad. Maybe cause I was in the hospital a full 8 days just by day 2 I didnt want meds.I didnt feel any different by day 2 I was mostly back to normal. your lucky I had to be put to sleep with the 2nd c sections with health issue i cant get a spinal at all.. They tried it I had 2 surgeries while preg with baby 8!! I have a heart problem and have blood pressure issue and 3 surgery's on my uterus with that said I still tried a vbac with Amelia (nautral labor 4 days) and did a vabac with my still born Amiracle. Just found out im preg with baby 9 and 10 and will be trying a vabac again.If I can have a doctor that is ok with it then again i have walked out at 31 weeks preg and drive hours away just to get what i wanted lol!!! I always feel my body my choice i know i sound crazy.. Im like its my health something happens they get the baby out no big deal. Its my health that sucks not the babies.. All preemie and they never need anything but to gain weight. Amelia was 4lbs 2 oz and never left my side went home on day 3 with me!!! been blessed that way.. ugh here me going on and on i guess it a mommy thing lol. plus im still dealing with being preg again. I been told 4 times Ill never have kids again yeah right...

Did they not give you anything for nausea or to prevent it?
They did but it only helped for so long and I didn't want to as for any unnecessary medicine before I felt sick

Hang in there momma! I was so scared with the one with my oldest but the second time was easier. It may be different since your first was emergency but you will remember how things go. A little less scary when you know what to expect! I hope everything goes perfectly💕

Me too! Ask if instead of swaddling your baby if they could put her in a diaper and place her between your breasts. Your babe should fit comfortably without getting in the way! But even if they don't as soon as you can in recovery is good too! Good luck momma(:

Intense pain meds make me vomit. Vicodin, Norco, Dilaudid. For my c-section I had morphine in my epidural that lasted 24hr snd then I just took ibuprofen. You might want to try that for baby #3
+Katie M My OBGYN said we're going to look at everything to troubleshoot for next time. Fingers crossed we find the problem!
my son was 9lbs 3oz ! 10lbs! i though mine was big! he is now 20lbs at 5 months!

you can request the foley catheter in the OR after the spinal. its your right and your body.

yea! i had my catheter after the spinal too! i didnt even know I had it!
I was nervous when she said catheter but I remembered I had mine once I had my spinal. Sigh of relief. This video was very helpful. This will be my second c section and I am a bit nervous, wasn't with my first son because it happened within hours. But this was scheduled at 12 weeks
They gave me one before my spinal it was terrible.
