Brock threw 11 INT’s in last years training camp like it’s not that serious lol.
    **Jimmy g**
Record in the playoffs - 4-2
    Touchdowns - 4
    Interceptions - 5
    QBR - 74.1
    3 games with No touchdowns.
He almost blew the vikings game, threw 8 passes in the NFC championship game vs the packers and overthrew Emanuel sanders in the Super bowl. He was decent but the Run game was the reason they were good. Let’s not forget the ring around the rosey INT vs the rams in the NFC championship game that ended it?. Every time jimmy g threw beyond 20 yards it made 49er fans close their eyes.
    **Brock purdy**
Record in the playoffs - 4-1
    Touchdowns - 6
    Interceptions- 1
    QBR - 96.2
Beat the packers and lions after trailing in the 4th quarter and led the 49ers to the biggest comeback in the NFC championship game history after being down 17 points. Did you know before those 2 games that Kyle was 0-36 all time trailing in the 4th quarter?. Brock won those games with his arms and legs, the ability that jimmy g never had.
Yes jimmy had success with this offense but how many times was it limited because his inability to throw down the field or even more the right play.

As a life long 49ers fan, I can confirm, every time Jimmy G threw it over 10 yards, my stomach went into knots. You already know Jimmy G is throwing it straight to the defender or he threw a pass that was gone get our receivers lit up and injured. Good riddance.

How is Brock Purdy a System QB when the system Kyle Shanahan has had as a Head Coach has only resulted in 9 Wins - 30 Losses since 2017 in SF with other QBs not named Jimmy G or Brock Purdy .
Brock Purdy took that Jimmy G Immobile QB / Intermediate Passing Bee Bee Gun Offense and transformed it into a Vertical Attack / Running QB Offense . Brock led in QBR all Last season . Jimmy's stat line vs GB in the NFCCG:
      6/8 for 77yds, 1 sack, 4 carries, -1yd.
      Brock Purdy vs Detroit:
      20/31 for 267yd 1td, 1int, 2 sacks, 5 carries 48yds.

I take it when Purdy mentions being dominant it’s more a message to Kyle. Coach gets too conservative with a lead and let KC come back in 2 different Super Bowls. Purdy is a dog and wants to be great Kyle has yet to show he got that dog in him he cracks under pressure and Purdy will hopefully bring his confidence back the way Mahomes did Andy after his Philly run.

Purdy has not let the Niners down though. Jimmy had success because he could operate in the middle of the field with a quick release. But in the biggest moments when the best teams took away the run and his options over the middle, Jimmy would freeze because he couldnt throw deep, couldnt go outside the numbers, and god forbid Jimmy tried to escape the pocket. Jimmy played a huge role in the Niners losses in the 2020 SB and the NFCCG against the Rams.

Here’s the thing… Brock said he wants to be on Tom Brady’s level of play. If you take that as though he is comparing himself to Tom Brady, then you’re a fool who needs to go back to school. There is a huge difference when someone says they wanna be vs. I am. If your player (any position) wants to be the best he can be, or the best on the field, why is that a problem? To be honest with you, I believe Brock Purdy is already a better football player than Tom Brady. I also believe, when Purdy is finished, he will have eclipsed Tom Brady in accomplishments. And while stroud is in different situation, I think stroud and Purdy are on the same level. I say they are next to one another and the order of those two would be a good order, no matter who is in front. However, Hurts and Dak have no place ahead of Purdy. Purdy out balled both of them, Dak twice. The first time Purdy out played Dak, he was as a rookie with 5 regular season games and one playoff game under his belt. The second time… well 😅 I do appreciate Purdy making the list in general though.

  • @juju-vl7oj
    @juju-vl7oj 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

I’ve seen enough of Purdy to say I don’t think he’s a fluke and only a system QB. He’s a solid starter but let’s be real, he has about as much if not the most help around him compared to any QB and almost any starting QB is going to look better than usual with that talent around them .
Even if you’re one of the few like Rob Parker who doesn’t think Brady is the goat , it’s just a fact that he played at an elite level getting his team to the playoffs every year up until his last year and he did it with many different supporting casts and sure he had great help most of the time but he definitely proved he could still play at an elite level without it . Purdy has a lot to prove still.

Brady didn't start off that way though; he needed as much "help" as Brock did when he first started out in order to start winning rings; Mahomes as well. It was only years after he grew as a player and was established that he proved he transcended the system.

People misconstrue things. He didn't say he was Tom Brady. He said he wants to get better at putting games away.
Tbh, Purdy was pretty clutch in the playoffs last year but of course he can get even better.
