  • The past decade has seen a big surge of foreign interest in Africa-involving China, India and Russia. If the continent handles this new "scramble" wisely, the main winners will be Africans themselves.

Africa has been changing over the six decades but many reporters called it the lost continent but now things has turned around.
I hope in my time life I will see Africa stronger and many Africans who live in western countries will return and invest.

That's so true many africans actually defeated Europeans multiple times in combat such as the Asante, Somalis, Malians, Rozvi and more. The scramble for Africa happened after Europeans developed maxim guns and cure for malaria which happened at the end of the 19th century, when they first arrived in the 15th century meaning it took 400 years to actually conquer Africa in totality. People have this idea that they just steam rolled over African nations when they didn't. They got the hands plenty of times

Its population is a 5th of South Africa's and its unemployment rate is 15% - not very far off. I can concur on your proposition that Rwanda's on the rise. If you look at South Africa's annual GDP growth rate, it's been on the decline from 2010-2016, but made a massive incline in 2017. We are also edging on developing once again.
