The band was originally formed around 1970-1971 if I remember correctly. Kevin Cronin joined in 1972, left, then rejoined in 1976- present. Dave Amato joined 1986-present. Neal Doughty is the only founding member from 1970-1971 still with the band.
"I Can't Fight This Feeling" was from an album released in 1985. REO Speedwagon released the album "Nine Lives" in 1979, but didn't hit the charts until 1980 when "Hi Infedelity" hit the airwaves. Either way, it's all good!

Excellent ! I am 55 years old and for a long time i always thought thatRod Stewart’s music would melt the clothing off a date in no time as i got older i learned although Rod had his effect on many Women in my age group it really was REO Speedwagon that was a guarantee with a good bottle of wine !

Use have cassette tape listen so many times, still remember this song today. Two thumbs up. Still Greatest Band today Reo Speedwagon. Both did awesome job 100%.

My dad was always a firm believer that in order to be a great band, you have to be able to sit down with nothing but acoustic guitars and vocals and still be able to entertain for two hours. REO can do that, and thats why my dad loved them. R.I.P. Dad.

Unplugging is not a true measure of a band, just like it wouldn't be a true measure of Paul Simon to plug a Les Paul into a Marshall with EMG pickups and attempt a thrash metal solo. The true measure of a band is to be able to keep their music relevant for years and years.
Any group that has lasted 30 years and still sounds great gets my respect.
