- What a course, Loved this course so we are definetly going back. The Essex Championship Course in Essex Earls Colne.
This course plays long it is definetly a test for all level of golfers, high handicap, mid handicap or low handicap. Loved it though

It all comes down to “Real Golf”. sometimes it’s good and sometimes it just bites you on the ass. If only we knew what goes wrong. Bless you for continuing and still smiling, but that’s what you do and we love watching because it’s what happens to us all. Great video Lewis.

I’m in Sible Hedingham, not far from the Essex. Practiced at the driving range there a few times, but not braved the course. Looks lovely!
Rivenhall, in Witham’s where I play most 9 hole rounds, after work in the evenings.

Idk if you mentioned it, but did you end up switching to the 101’s or are you still playing the 101T’s? Great vid mate!
No worries mate. I switched to 101 irons for more forgiveness. I'm glad I did switch back

I was a member at the Essex about 12 years ago I won the D B Rabbits Cup in 2010 which is cool . The course now looks even better then when I was a member. Love the vid bud 👍

I feel your pain, playing Gosfield lakes on Saturday and all going well. 10th hole, a duffed tee shot, 2 that went nowhere out of the rough, 1 that hit a tree and just evaporated and all of a sudden a hole I parred last time out became a card wrecking 10. Thats golf!!! 😂😂😂😂

I'm just a little confused as to what happened on the par 3 fifth. Your tee shot seemed to go off the back of the green, and then you were taking a long putt from the front of the green. I'm just intrigued because this is my home club and I was trying to relate to the hole.
It definitely didn't go off the back mate. I hit a wedge to weak. I seem to have yips on the short par 3.
You can see it bounces just over the bunker then must bumble onto the green.

Sorry, beginners question - on the 2nd, if you lost your drive, wouldn’t you be playing 3 instead of of 4? Cheers!
No apology needed here mate.
So the reason it was 4 is because In theory I should run back to the tee box to hit my 3rd off the tee (penalty 2 then 3rd shot). Now for the sake of speed of play etc it was quicker to agree the ball would have finished around that area meaning in theory I had taken 3rd shot off the tee to that location so then my next shot is the 4th.
I hope this makes some sense

@@Lupeydo1 mate there are loads but honestly if you just starting out I wouldn't bog down your round by rules until you are keeping track of scores and your handicap

What would you say are the top 3 courses to play in Essex?
it would be hard for me to say as i havent got round to all the big ones just yet. from out of the courses i have played in essex. This one, Benton hall is good, Brentwood is nice. i didnt get to finish toot hill but that was from memory seemed really nice.
i am lined up to try forrester park which i heard is really nice also.
Have you tried Top Meadow? One of my favourite courses and very reasonably priced.
