Thank you - great to get us off the barre! Beautiful music, simple clear enchainements suitable for small space. Very helpful to have repeats by different dancers, so I can mark through the first time - my poor ancient brain needs it - or just do it twice for strength! I've donated, you guys deserve it for such great classes, the best on youtube, no contest.
Thank you for creating this space-conscious center class. I love the fun music and dance combinations. The presenters did outstanding work demonstrating clearly, and with individuality. The video and audio quality of this series is unparalleled.
Oh wow wow!! The male ballet dancer was fantastic!! i'm inspired to try this class! i'm trying to learn ballet on my own and this may be too advanced, but i'll get to it as soon as i can! Thank you ♥
I like the 2 groups!!!! We don't have to rewind! : ) Love that the exercises are no-fuss, strengthening, and well designed to be practiced in small spaces. Also like it gets all the way to medium jumps. I can do one more beat type of jump or pointe type of ex. Wink wink!!! : )
When filming center it's really much easier to follow with an extra camera viewpoint from the back. Or, since you have two dancers, you could maybe have one of them face the other way?
A really beautiful center class, but a lot of the allegro isn't practical in my small space :( The later combinations were also given incredibly quickly! A little slower demo and something made for spare bedroom space would be great! It was a shame because I've been looking forward to a new center class for sooooo long!
I too also wanted to know what the gorgeous pieces were that Paul Lewis plays, and found he had recorded his arrangements for the barre and centre. Looks like this was many years ago, when he was at maybe San Francisco or Joffrey. Sadly I don't own a CD player ! www.behindbarres.com/music-for-ballet-instruction.html
@@sharonlu2781 Hello Sharon, one of the pieces he plays for center fondu, is something I asked him to work out...a piece of Pawdereski, a not as known composer, Polish, I believe, which he also plays in my barre video for adagio. The adagio he plays for center is Tchaikovsky's violin concerto 2nd movement. Music was everything to me as a dancer, and now also as a teacher, so I tend to get together with pianists before class and collaborate so that the dancers will enjoy
@@carolineiura5668 Delighted Caroline that you share with us behind the scenes the incredible planning process with Paul Lewis to make something incredible for the ballet community. I think it is that X factor that makes the Das Nationale Ballet classes quite special and played over and over again. This is the closest online that truely replicates the "in class" experience of feeling the beauty of music and of movement work together! We are all very grateful to you.
@@sharonlu2781 Am so thrilled, Sharon and Lindsey, that you are appreciating the musical collaboration with Paul. We really take pleasure in trying out certain music for exercises to make it fun, yet challenging and dancey for the viewers participating at home, and want them to feel they are with us in the room. I had to adapt certain exercises in the center on the spot because they didn't fit in the camera frame. We are so used to using as much space in the studios as possible, but of course for people at home, I had to condense to fit in a small space. Quite challenging! Keep on dancing, and enjoying!!
Perhaps through editing it seemed I favored or praised one dancer more than the other...BOTH of these dancers equally are a part of my heart, and I love and appreciate their amazing talents equally, not one more than the other
@@carolineiura5668 I hear you Caroline. Your classes are amazing. We are so lucky to have access to them. Your demonstrators a treat to watch. Thank you.
Thank you Norma for your words, and for following, appreciating and supporting us! I think it is amazing that so many do our classes regularly. We really want to welcome people into our studios together with us, and bring some joy of dance in these troublesome times
Beautiful centre practice, thank you. Elisabeth's musicality is gorgeous!

Thank you! I love these beautiful exercises. Unfortunately, jumping is a no-go in my appartment :-(
Great to hear you joined from your appartment! Be careful ;)
Excellent work, bravo

Happy to hear that Lil! Keep an eye on our channel, maybe there are more to come :)
really wonderful but the Lady Teacher explain a little too fast for not-professional dancers
потрясающе
Stupendi !!! Merci beaucoup :)
Muy buena la clase gracias Maestra y bailarines por su buena ejecucion
Thank you so much for this class! Wonderful!
any tips on how to get those combinations towards the end down?

Great, Thank you very much! Could you list the titles of the music? I would be very thankful for that ;)....best

Beautiful! Does anyone know what Tchaikovsky piece this is in the adage? :)
Unfortunately, I don't know the answer. Hopefully somebody in the comment section does! Good luck Lindsey with the classes!

The two dancers are just demonstrators. I think it is very important, under those circumstances, not to praise one more than the other.
