If you guys are a Disney fans, we highly recommend visiting Tokyo Disney Resort soon. It's seriously the best Disney park in the world. Tokyo DisneySea is beyond incredible! Tokyo Disney resort ticket is very affordable unlike in the United States. You are looking at around $60 for day ticket to $200 for a 4 day ticket.

So jealous of this version. In California its just a dark ride. I love the interactions in this version and there is so much to see that I would go back again and again to see it all.
To be fair, the California version is also very fun to go on and a perfect ride for the family. The line is well themed, the ride has some great animatronics and is very immersive. This one is just a bit better.
That’s cause this is original and California is just an overlay to fix the horrible super star limo

The sheer level of high quality animatronic's is mind-boggling like almost every 2 feet theres some kind of moving figure or several.
The Roz at the end even actually talks. In this video she specifically addressed the person in the second car and said “those are good glasses, want to trade?”

some amazing effects throughout the ride! The door peeking into Boo's bedroom near the end is quite convincing...I still can't quite figure out how they did that one!
There's a trick to it, but not sure you want to ruin the magic. ;)

If you look at the trash compactor scene, your back is to the wall where the next scene appears, so they probably have room between the walls they’re using to make the actual boo room
ブーの部屋は鏡を使った錯覚です。
ドアの後ろの上の部分を見ればかなり見にくいですが、鏡があります。
If you went there in person you would notice mirrors that connect the door frame to the middle of the walls, which reflects the actual walls and hides the space with the room

Btbt dabt same illusio used on Roger Rabbit. Used a mirror next to a wall pattern and they made a floating portable hole
We need this in America! It would be a great replacement for lame Journey Into Imagination at Epcot
We need this at Disneyland we have an existing Monsters ride that should be undated to this
except for the fact it wouldn't fit into EPCOT at all...
I personally think Journey Into Imagination should be replaced with an Inside Out dark ride
Journey into Imagination definitely needs to be redone. If you had seen the original Figment ride, you would know just how amazing that ride was! I hope they bring back the original ride. I would hate to see Figment disappear.

Been a fan of Monsters Inc since I was 3 years old and I'm currently 15 and still love the movie and wow this ride is literally amazing! The details are incredible wow! Tokyo Disney never fails to amaze me!

I have been on this ride. The seats are do small and cramped and the ride can be bumpy and jerks you around a bit, but still a fun ride.

Similar in that it's an interactive ride themed to a Pixar movie, but this is a much more casual take (there's no scoring on this: the targets just trigger various gags).

which came first: this ride because monsters inc. was released in theaters in 2003 or was it buzz lightyear astro blasters which opened in tokyo disneyland in 2004
Can someone please explain how they do that effect at 3:42? The door clearly stands in front of the wall. I don't see a cube of some sort on the back of the door for Boos bedroom to appear.
I would guess the door is in a wall, with angled mirrors reflecting the two spots on the wall next to it to make it look as though it is actual empty space behind the door
They should replace Mike and Sulley to the rescue with this over at DCA. That was a quick make over over a existing ride ( superstar limo) that was terrible. The ride layout would be the same with new animatronics and ride vehicles.
