I literally found you about 3 months ago. i listened to you and thought yeah whatever. this was literally when the corona virus was starting. i opened my shop up alittle over 2.5 months ago and close to my 450 sale and averaging about 10 dollars profit per shirt. This guy is legit as far as i'm concerned and i havent really had a chance to do more than one platform. Thats why i'm watching this video to get more tips and save some time. Thanks Greg!!!!

That being said, I signed up for Merch Informer today and have spent the last 8 hours putting in words and phrases only to get nothing but "F" ratings on all of them. I wish I knew how to guess better. LOL!!
Yesterday signed up for merch informer and today Placeit. Hope I chose the correct level ( I wanted all the options) and hoping if I didn't, I will be able to easily upgrade later. . Looks like the first week or so will be researching niches and stockpile lots of them. I will probably also get a few designs up with Placeit. I AM experienced in graphic arts as well as early commercial art back in the 90's when I was designing window bans and commercial vehicle art and of late webmaster many times over with product art design and graphic files. I already have a lot of ideas I have noted over the last couple of years on my phone while contemplating this move. Already have considerable experience in some niches like RC planes, foamies etc so will research those as well. Looking forward to getting some content up soon. Thanks greatly for all the concise and precise videos you have made. Makes the lesrning process quite easy and enjoyable..
Right on! All you need is the base level of Merch Informer and I recommend the unlimited subscription to Placeit (either monthly or annually). Sounds like you're on the right track already, stock piling those niches will be a VERY good move to help you design quickly on Placeit.

You mentioned often times Etsy as a place where to look for ideas but that is pretty much about it. A video about your thoughts on Etsy would be super interesting to watch! Thanks for asking! Etsy is a game of it's own.. I've done it in the past but dont do it anymore because I see a bigger return on time invested on Teespring, Merch, and Redbubble. People spend years trying to master Etsy alone and I can see why from my experience. I hope that bit of information helps!

It's great to find your first niche (to get your first few sales for your trust score) but if you already have your first niche then I recommend starting to use it for picking out a handful of great niches to make your future designs in. This helps to make sure your time is spent well making designs that aren't in overly competitive niches. I hope that helps!

Can you make few suggestions about where to sell logos which can be created on Placeit. Keep on good work man.
🔥Another information packed video Greg! 🔥 These tools are invaluable to those just starting out with POD and a huge time saver to those on their journey! The hardest part for me is coming up with a niche to try in "Competition Checker" on MI. Placeit is such a time saver! I know how to create these model mockups with Photoshop, but this is about 20 times faster with a lot more models, products, etc to use.
100% agree with everything here Beau! I find it takes some brainstorming to find good niches (but the crazier ideas you come up with, usually to better the niche!). All the best to you Beau!!

I'm guessing it one of two reasons, my credit card had to be validated which required 'non standard ' navigation on payment, or, its something to do with tax and the numbers stated excluded tax. i just signed-up for the free trial from Merch Informer... i did not like the way they made me give my payment info and did not tell me how much it was going to cost... i went thru with it anyway, but sent a ticket to the Help Desk asking what the cost was going to be... pretty sneaky how they did that... i would not have given them my information if not for your recommendation, Greg... i hope they get back to me...not off to a great start here....even in the confirmation email there was no mention of price
Hey Rita, thanks for the comment! Hmm.. Was there really no mention of the price at all? It's $8/month but I agree with you, that is very strange that they did not say that somewhere along the way. I'm not a fan of companies that do things in a malicious way, but I can 100% vouch for merch informer. They are a trustworthy company from all of my experiences! I hope that helps give you some peace of mind while they get back to you!
@@GregGottfried they did say the price before i clicked "free trial" but then it took me directly to my payment info.. which spooked me a little since i was giving them my info without knowing for sure the price...usually merchants tell you exactly what you will be paying... but maybe since it was the free trial, they didn't see the need for this, which is what i can only assume... on the bright side, i have been using Merch Informer now, and it is DA BOMB !!!... i'm sure things will work-out ... thank you
I finally got my 1 sample from Teespring. It took 2 months. Still haven’t made a sell on that platform. I have 3 sells on Redbubble - 2 masks and 1 sticker. My revenue is less than $2.

Hello Greg hope you are doing great. It is possible to make a video about redbubble and how to ad products? Also do you recommend to put a logo and a store front on redbubble?
Great question Samantha! If you made the design yourself, you technically own the copyright to it informally by being the original work creator. In regards to Placeit, as long as you are customizing the templates, and not just downloading the templates as-is from Placeit, you won't have any issues. This means if someone copies your design, you can email the POD website and report it. They will look to see that you uploaded it first, and that it is in fact a copy, and they will remove it. If you wanted to go further, you can formally protect your designs for about $500 each with the government.. I've done it in the past and I dont recommend it.. The only difference is if you need to go to court (would not likely ever get to this point), you would be able to show proof of formal protection filed. I hope that makes sense and helps!
Hey Greg, so I make a fresh start all over again with pod, and I really don't want to mess up on anything, so I'm just creating all my pod accounts now and Teespring does ask what do you sign for as. They give you the next options: Marketer/Content creator/Designer/Organization/Other. Organization is obviously not the one, but what is the best option since we intend to do such a combination? Does it have any meaning at all? Thank you in advance! I appreciate your content.

Thanks for asking! Etsy is a game of it's own.. I've done it in the past but dont do it anymore because I see a bigger return on time invested on Teespring, Merch, and Redbubble. People spend years trying to master Etsy alone and I can see why from my experience. I hope that bit of information helps!

It's great to find your first niche (to get your first few sales for your trust score) but if you already have your first niche then I recommend starting to use it for picking out a handful of great niches to make your future designs in. This helps to make sure your time is spent well making designs that aren't in overly competitive niches. I hope that helps!
Hey Greg. I'm amazed by quality of your content. I have one question and suggestion for you next video. How and where to sell logo designs. I have seen a long time ago about selling logos for profit. Can you make few suggestions about where to sell logos which can be created on Placeit. Keep on good work man.
🔥Another information packed video Greg! 🔥 These tools are invaluable to those just starting out with POD and a huge time saver to those on their journey! The hardest part for me is coming up with a niche to try in "Competition Checker" on MI. Placeit is such a time saver! I know how to create these model mockups with Photoshop, but this is about 20 times faster with a lot more models, products, etc to use.
100% agree with everything here Beau! I find it takes some brainstorming to find good niches (but the crazier ideas you come up with, usually to better the niche!). All the best to you Beau!!

I'm guessing it one of two reasons, my credit card had to be validated which required 'non standard ' navigation on payment, or, its something to do with tax and the numbers stated excluded tax. No big deal. I did get an introductory email welcoming me - good - with part of the content offering me a 50% discount on a full year membership.. Gave me a smile!

i just signed-up for the free trial from Merch Informer... i did not like the way they made me give my payment info and did not tell me how much it was going to cost... i went thru with it anyway, but sent a ticket to the Help Desk asking what the cost was going to be... pretty sneaky how they did that... i would not have given them my information if not for your recommendation, Greg... i hope they get back to me...not off to a great start here....even in the confirmation email there was no mention of price
Hey Rita, thanks for the comment! Hmm.. Was there really no mention of the price at all? It's $8/month but I agree with you, that is very strange that they did not say that somewhere along the way. I'm not a fan of companies that do things in a malicious way, but I can 100% vouch for merch informer. They are a trustworthy company from all of my experiences! Hi I'm a New Subscriber, How do you protect you design from being copies by other doing print on demand??
Great question Samantha! If you made the design yourself, you technically own the copyright to it informally by being the original work creator. In regards to Placeit, as long as you are customizing the templates, and not just downloading the templates as-is from Placeit, you won't have any issues. This means if someone copies your design, you can email the POD website and report it. They will look to see that you uploaded it first, and that it is in fact a copy, and they will remove it. If you wanted to go further, you can formally protect your designs for about $500 each with the government.. I've done it in the past and I dont recommend it.. The only difference is if you need to go to court (would not likely ever get to this point), you would be able to show proof of formal protection filed. I hope that makes sense and helps!

Hey Greg, so I make a fresh start all over again with pod, and I really don't want to mess up on anything, so I'm just creating all my pod accounts now and Teespring does ask what do you sign for as.
They give you the next options: Marketer/Content creator/Designer/Organization/Other.
Organization is obviously not the one, but what is the best option since we intend to do such a combination?
Does it have any meaning at all?
