When do you perform CPR? Wendy Macias Konstantopoulos, MD, Emergency Medicine Physician at Mass General Brigham, explains when and how to perform CPR on both adults and infants. For someone who’s non-responsive, not breathing, or in cardiac arrest, CPR helps keep the blood moving in the body. People not formally trained in first aid can perform hands-only CPR, buying time until medical personnel can help.

My friend was dead 15 minutes and they gave him cpr until the ambulance got there and he is alive and well because of it
It really cannot be overstated how important CPR is. If an emergency happens near you, it can be too late to have to wait until an ambulance arrives at the scene to give CPR. Anyone can experience a heart attack, even your friends or loved ones. Getting certified in CPR can save their lives. Get certified in CPR. You never know when you may need it.
