I've used a workshop LED lamp to emulate side lighting in a woodland. (Vary the distance to subject to brighten / darken image). Adjustable video LED lights are also useful as you can change the colour temperature and they are cheap too.
super helpful thank you. the masking part helped me wrap my head around that concept more, thinking of the black as a layer that hides the image, and the white as an eraser that adds transparency by removing the black takes some of the mystery out of it for me
Love your vids. Here's a quick hint - to make your brush size smaller or bigger, hold alt-key while holding the right mouse button. When you then move the mouse left or right, the size of the brush changes ( with live preview ^^ ). Same goes for the hardness - same keys, but move the mouse up and down. Will ease the process of finding the right size/hardness a lot. cheers from Germany
I don't know how long you've been doing this but there seems to be an intimacy using the slower ways, it just feels different. We aren't in a rush, more time to visualize the end product, IMO. It's more of a ritual.
Another great video. I do so look forward to them every week. What was the megapixel count of your camera? The crop was tight and the image still looked superb. Thank you for taking the time to do these videos
Thank you. I really enjoy your videos. They are informative and inspirational.
You are so welcome!
I don't have a good flash and always wanting to use a cube light that I have, I'm glad this video was recommended to me and can't wait to try
Glad I could help!
Outstanding video! Thank you for sharing it!
It really inspires to go out and try it!! The pictures, not the mushrooms ;)
Glad you enjoyed it!
