    Couldn’t agree more. Ran Terrabites for 3500 miles. The most overlooked tire on the market.

    Recently finished a trip to Sand Hollow on these tires, 32s on a Can Am X3 w/200hp. Rock climbed, ran trails and dunes without any issues. Tires currently have aprox 700 miles. Love them! Not sure why some write negative reviews, I ride these hard and no flat or slow leak yet. Noticed driving them on pavement and rocks do wear them out more then sand and trails. I’d buy them again.

    I bought Terrabites for my RZR shortly after you got yours. My wife and I like to ride in the Eastern Sierras so we're encountering much the same types of terrain that you are. I don't have near the mileage you have on yours but, like you, I am totally satisfied with their performance and durability. I have also had them in snow and like most UTV tires, they suck. But I seldom encounter snow so its not really an issue for me. The last two riding seasons here in California have been a bust due to very heavy wildfire smoke but we are hopeful to run to the top of Patterson Peak in July. My wife and I thoroughly enjoy your videos because we have the same riding style and love of mountain scenery.

    For the price, no flats, no plugs, I would say it's a no brainer! I have 3300 on mine, and still plenty of tread.

    been running 1 set of general grabbers on 3 Rangers for 10 years 15,000 miles, in Wi. , lot of blacktop, stuck 1 time in spring thaw, super quiet on pavement, not the most aggressive but this 1 set have taken me 15,000 miles and are still at 75%+ tread

    I got my Terribites after watching your 1st video Thank you. I love them, like you I've never had them in the snow. I have about 2500 miles on them. They are at 17/32nds wearing really even and I have been bad at not rotating them as I should. Most of the miles have been in Western Colorado, Southern Colorado. Also been to Moab, Bryce canyon area allot. (THANKS FOR CASTO CANYON VIDEO WE LOVED RIDING THERE AFTER WATCHING THE VIDEO) Have also had them in the Black Hills of South Dakota which there we was able to ride on pavement as well. So I will replace them with more Terribites when the time comes. Edit. Forgot to say there on a 2008 Polaris RZR 800 50 inch.

    Great timing of your video on your 27x9-12 Tusk Terrabites radials DOT rated 8ply. You have been a great influence even on the maverick trail when I first started watching your channel it’s very kick back relax and you explain things very well!! I have a 2021 maverick trail DPS 1000 triple black, I live in the Rathdrum mountains by Coeur d’Alene Idaho. You are correct about the stock Carlisle‘s 4 ply tires. I have 950 miles on them now, I’ve just been trying to wear them out since no one wants to buy them brand new. Anyway, I just bought 5 of the Tusk Terrabites 27x9-12 8ply online at ROCKY MOUNTAIN ATV-MC for $129.88 ea. total for 5 with tax $688.36 free shipping. They have been on back order for many months they just got these in recently. They shipped them out immediately, and I receive very good customer service with them, and I believe they’re the ones that actually innovative the tire. I’m going to bring it into the dealer soon for an oil change and they will install the tires for me for your viewers the average price at a tire shop is $25 a tire for the mount and dismount only. I like watching your videos because you use a lot of plain common sense, yes putting on a bigger wheel and tires 🛞 might make your vehicle look cooler but what people don’t understand is Can-Am who manufactured the vehicle designed it for 50” trails the engineers that put that style tire and wheel on is design for the suspension of the vehicle by adding something else could put stress on it, and defeat the purpose of 50 inches going through the gates, I think you have the best videos for explaining this with this tire size using the same stock wheel. I wish you would move over to northern Idaho, it would be awesome having you as my neighbor. Ps. I told Rocky Mountain ATV that it was your TH-cam channel I received the best information on these tires, and told them they should sponsor you. 😃👍🏻

      I seriously considered Megabites, but they would have been overkill for me I think. I don't ride in the snow, or really much mud, so I just stuck with the Terrabites. But I dam near bought the Megabites. Literally came down to a coin toss.

    I am looking to run these tires and all seem to be pretty good reviews. The tread wear I think would have something to do with being an early run in the tire. I could be wrong though. I think I am going to go with them for my RZR. Thanks for the review.

    I’m on my second set of Terrabites. This time, I increased to 32” and went with the 10 ply Aramid on my RMAX. 600 miles on them and doing great here on east coast. I love how light there tires are, too, so I didn’t have to do clutch work. I interconnect trails a lot with pavement in WV, which is one reason I bought these. They wear like steel. I certainly understand the urge to try something new. For me, when I find a set of tires THIS good, I’m stickin’ with what I know.

    The 29” Should be called 27“ because they run super small. Just installed my 29x9x14 and 29x11x14 on 7 inch stock front and 8 inch stock rear rims and they barely measure 27 3/4 inches . Still 2 inches bigger then the 27” Kanati Mongrel that barely measures 25” lol 2013 Can Am Commander 1000 . Your review helped me buy them regardless.

    • @MyATVlife
      @MyATVlife  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That's weird cuz my 29's measured just under 29 inches at 13psi 🤷🏻‍♂️
      But either way, yeah, they're still 2 inches taller than the 27's that don't measure 27 either. I think the manufactures measure the tires at max psi inflation, and not at an inflation that they'll actually be used in. It's frustrating.

    • @asphaltwarrior1
      @asphaltwarrior1 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think so too . They have a max psi of 32 😮 Could you imagine running 32 psi on a 1200 lb machine ? 10 psi is what I run for working around the property and trail riding is 5-8 psi 🤣

    I considered Terrabites and other similar tread tires on my Outlander, but I rode behind someone who had them on their machine. We were on a forest road and I spent the day eating their rocks that got caught in the tread! I opted for Dirt Commanders to avoid spitting rocks in every direction! Lol! Always something weird to consider! 🤣

    • @MyATVlife
      @MyATVlife  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I discussed that in the video, and consider that a major drawback. But, the good news is, they eventually stop doing it. As the tread wears, they stop doing that. After about 1500 miles they quit doing it. But in the meantime it does suck. 🤣

    True the Tusk Terrabite suck in the snow, I ride in in the desert, and trails and rocky trails, great tire, last a long time just like stated, rode the Mcgrudder trail from Dixie Id, to Darby Mt. did awesome except in the snow drifts, I also just bought the Mega bites, they are better in the snow and sand or soft terrain, still prefer the Terrabites, I love Big Horns but for the price Tusk is great!

    • @MyATVlife
      @MyATVlife  ปีที่แล้ว

    Lots of tires out there to choose from. I really like the Kenati Terra Masters in 33x10x15 on my Talon. They have been great in Moab. Kanab. Sand Hollow and Idaho. I went with them because they are not very heavy for a 33 but still 10 ply I run Rip Saws on my Outlander Max. I like everything about the Rip Saws but how stiff they are. My buddy swears by the M1 Evils on his Talon. Not of the tires mentioned above have ever had a failure or a plug. If you like the tires you run replace them with the same.

    • @MyATVlife
      @MyATVlife  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have Rip Saws on my ATV and I do love them, they are very stiff and heavy, but they work very well. If the made Rip Saws in the size I was looking for I'd probably buy them. I just can't get away with a 10 inch wide tire, it'd make me too wide to fit thru the 50 inch gates. That's what I've found thru my searching, is stepping up to a 28 or 30 inch tire you can only get them in a 10 inch wide tire.

    • @MyATVlife

      Mine aren't balanced. I don't ever really go that fast, so I wouldn't notice if they were out of balance. 45-50 is pretty much top speed for me, and that's on a rare occasion.

    Ok you’ve been on the Piute trail, I live in Fillmore and have a 22 Ranger. I have gone through 3 tires and bent my back rim. I’ve broken the bead a million times and now carry a 12 volt air compressor. I am looking at the tire/wheel Amazon set. Are these tough enough for the rocks and trails down here?

    • @MyATVlife
      @MyATVlife  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I destroyed my stock tires in one trip to the Paiute Trail. I have had very good luck with Tusk Terrabites. Just over 5,000 miles on my first set and now about 1,000 miles on my second set. Many, many of those miles on the Paiute Trail. The only other tire I've tried and can confidently recommend are the Sedona Ripsaw. I run those on my ATV. They are pretty heavy, but are very tough and grip really well.

    I put 27's on my Outlander last night.
    Getting ready to go out this morning, but im realizing i think i put them on wrong.
    By looking at other videos and pictures ive noticed the treads have a directional pattern.
    Some pictures show the outside tread facing foward and some show it facing backwards.
    I think i need to switch the left and right sides because mine are feeding forward and into the tire.
    This cant be correct, ill hydroplane

    • @BearKiller-z1p

      Replying to my own comment. Out in the shop now looking at the bike. Outside of tire ...The left side feeds backwards and out away from the machine the right side feeds forward into the tire and into the machine. Seems pretty dumb design to me. How did I never notice my truck tires are exactly the same. On the right side they feed forward on the left side they feed backwards.
      Anyways maybe this will answer someone else's question. Thanks anyways bro

    • @MyATVlife
      @MyATVlife  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your front wheels may be narrower than the rears. Mounting a 11 inch tire on a wheel that's too narrow could be a problem. Also a wide tire like that on the front could make your steering feel "heavy" and could wear out steering and suspension components quicker. It can be done, I see guys with 27 and 28x10 tires all around all the time, so no reason a 11 inch wide wouldn't work. The biggest issue would be if your front wheel is narrower (6 inches wide instead of 7). I wouldn't recommend it, but it could be done.

    Great review with indeth I formation! Curious about pavement road Noise? Debating whether to have ie two sets!

    • @MyATVlife
      @MyATVlife  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      When I first switched from the stock tires to the Terrabites I was amazed at how quiet they were on pavement. Noise varies by tire pressure, the higher the psi the quieter they are, but they get much better traction at lower pressure, so you'll have to find a balance that you like. I found 13psi rear and 11 front works best for me, but I have a lot of weight on the back of our machine.
      But yes, very reasonably quiet on pavement.

    • @MyATVlife
      @MyATVlife  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I used to think they might be a bit too stiff for an ATV, but I put a set on my Bosski ATV Wagon and run them at about 4-5 psi and they do really well. They also get better traction at lower psi, so I think they would work great. The sidewalls are a bit stiff, so it may make your ride a little stiffer, but at a low psi that may get better too.

      These 27's I always ran at 13 rear and 11 front. That pressure seemed to wear evenly across the contact patch to the road, but I also carry quite a bit of weight on the back of my machine, so machines carrying lighter weight may be able to drop a few psi in the rear. With my new 29's I've been running 12 in the rear and 10 up front just to get even wear across the tread. It works for me.
