@@stonedsasquatch About the inner voice- yes and no. It's not the same as hearing with your ears. But if I read a book in my head, there's a narrator with an approximation of my own voice reading it "out loud" inside my head. My inner voice does not sound exactly like me most of the time, but that may be because I don't like my actual voice very much. And I can also make the inner voice do impressions of other voices that I'm familiar with, which is useful because then I can give a character in a book an accent, like if they're supposed to be French or whatever.

"God is waiting to present himself" is the saddest grappling I can imagine. If I adopt a cat, watch it from a secret hiding place while it struggles to find food and avoid danger, and then spring out as it's approaching death to give it's head a pat, that would make me a piece of human garbage, not it's savior. Same applies to this mystery ghost controlling things from behind the scenes. Really not seeing the love here.

    • @brantsonoverton1367
      @brantsonoverton1367 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

God Hiding? No, God isn't hiding. You're simply not worthy of his presence. You CLEARLY have no idea the majesty of God. You're simply not worthy of our HOLY God's presence, due to your sin. Sin = death & sin separates us from God. Before Adam sinned, God walked w/ him in the Garden.
Don't continue to be ignorant. God loves you because you were created in his image. But he's also your Judge. I would say that you fail to understand exactly who God is. His awesome greatness is beyond your comprehension. You're breathing air that doesn't belong to you. Taking up space that doesn't belong to you. Given a life that doesn't belong to you. He brought you from nothing and you're nothing, YET you feel totally justified to raise your tiny stupid fist at him. THAT is what you are; never mind him. That said, Jesus loves you dearly & has shown you this love by bringing you from non-existence & giving you “the gift of life.” And did you say “thank you?” No. He also removed your doom via the sin of Adam by the suffering on the cross for you. And did you say “thank you?” No. He’s also “prepared a place for you in Heaven” if you’ll only return his love that’s already given you. And did you say “thank you?” No. Again, it’s the “love” of Jesus for people is what attracts them to Christianity. Your move, Chief.

@@TheTruthKiwi No, I proved there was no big bang via IRREFUTABLE FACTS and we both notice you had no reply and why? Because there isn't one. ALL WE OBSERVE is the expanding universe. To comment on what happened before is not only guessing, but reckless speculation.
And the “ignorance” is yours, because it’s clear to everyone in the know that you don’t have a RATIONAL, POSSIBLE, step-by-step atheist explanation for existence, because there isn’t one and there never will be. THEREFORE, your atheist cult is garbage. That’s why it’s INFAMOUS the world over for having ZERO ANSWERS. You can’t get answers from lies. And you sit here in silence, because you already know these facts. It's quite pathetic that you still desperately cling to atheist garbage. Creation is true, because there’s no other RATIONAL, POSSIBLE OPTION.
God is proved by what’s OBSERVED: You're dying/LOSING INFORMATION/decaying in disorder to an END (heat death)/going ONLY in one direction: bad to worse. And all matter is contiguous and under that same CONSTANT, UNRELENTING, INCREASING entropy and that's why you never see any gain of information (e.g. multiverse, big bang, abiogenesis, mistakes (mutations) gaining in complexity/new information, star formation, evolution), because NONE OF IT is POSSIBLE. These facts prove that this DYING EFFECT (FINITE NATURE: time/space/matter/energy) requires a NON-DYING CAUSE (INFINITE SUPERNATURAL ETERNAL GOD).
Take falling dominoes, as an example. You can't have nothing but just a line of falling dominoes. A prime mover to start the fall is required & it's the same with this FINITE DYING universe. That's why there's no RATIONAL, POSSIBLE, step-by-step atheist explanation for reality, because there isn't one and there never will be.

One of my college buddies was hurt that I never responded to any of his text messages regarding major events in his life. He got a big job, moved to a big city near me, got engaged and had a child. I never once responded to congratulate him, not because I’m a jerk, but because I changed my phone number after college and no one else was using it. He had been sending messages and getting no response because there wasn’t anyone actually receiving them. @God's Servant Let me ask you a few questions. Do you have eyeballs in your head? Yes? If you do then you’re not following gods laws. Surely you’ve felt lust so when you did you should have plucked your eyeballs out.
Have you worn any clothes with mixed fibers? Yes? Then you’re doomed to eternal damnation.
Have you ever eaten shellfish? Yes? Then off to hell you go.
I like these laws by your god:
If a man has consensual sex with his daughter in law both the man and the woman must be executed.
But god was okay with Mr Lot’s daughters raping their daddy two nights in a row. So according to your god it’s ok to non-consensual forcibly rape your father but it’s a death sentence for a man to have consensual sex with a daughter in law.
God’s laws also say if a child cusses at his father that child must be put to death. So your god says it’s okay for the Lot daughters to forcibly rape their father but if they cussed at them they must be executed. Do you really believe that nonsense? It’s directly out of the Bible so if you don’t believe it you are not a Christian, or you are saying you’re a Christisn but being hypocritical.

Any "god" claims of an interactive personal god who is supposedly "my best friend" and "carrying me through my toughest times" had better do more than send some koolaid drinker to my door once in a while to tell me he/she/it exists. My friends actually interact with me. We get together for dinner and movies, pick up the phone and chat, help with projects around the house, and even play video games together. Someone who is supposedly having this great relationship with me needs to do more than win the only and longest game of hide-and-seek I've ever played with them. I stopped "hearing from god". I waited. Then after several years and a slide away from Evangelicalism, to Progressive Christianity, to Spiritual but not Religious (what ever that was supposed to be), I found the Atheist Experience. I listened again and actually heard something that made sense. As time went on I learned more about doctrine and the bible, things not taught in Sunday School. It took a while. Are you saying I'm a liar ? *How do you explain that?* You see you guys have God of the Bible confused with the religions man has made up in his name . God excepts no religions . That's what Jesus said . *Do unto others is God's religion* You guys Matt included have no clue who and what the Holy Spirit is . You've hardened your hearts and God may have spoken to you . But after so long he gives you over to the desires of your heart . .
*THERE'S even a way to know if someone You persoanlly know has met God*

"Doing so at this moment could conflict with some other desire God prioritizes more" -- An omnipotent god wouldn't need to prioritize anything. It could accomplish anything and everything it wanted instantly. Which raises the question of why a god who wants everyone to spend eternity with him in Heaven hasn't already made that happen.

    "I didn't finish my sentence"
You and damn near every other caller with Matt on. I'm tired of him reacting to the first 3 words of a response, let people get at least 2 sentences out. There's no amount of clarification that can't wait 8 seconds, especially when callers are yelled at and muted when they try cut Matt off for legitimate clarification. There's a balance between letting people drone on for 2 straight minutes and jumping in after 3 words. Mats been doing it too long, at this point he's like an AI that just reacts to certain keywords at the exact instant they are spoken.

And then Matt did let him finish. And the caller proved he had nothing further to add.
When a caller is meandering around with no focus beside "let's just shoot the breeze" it's Matt's job to cut through the BS and keep the call on track.
When the caller has nothing of consequence to say, Matt is allowed to take the little he does say and treat it of significance.
