- I’m Chris Goodmakers and I've watched every Predator film in the last few days and took diligent notes. Fan Wiki’s be damned, I do my own research. I’m here to bring you a complete picture of humanities interactions with the race of alien hunters. From the dawn of man, to a prison bus in 2018.
One small thing up front. While I may pull small details from the comics, I'm not including them in the overall continuity. If you want to complain about that I really don’t care. I’m not reading 40 years of Dark Horse comics in a week. Besides, The Predator fought Archie once, it doesn’t count!

the comics aren't cannon to the movies so using them for literally anything other than the species name is useless lmao
In Prey, it clearly tried to modify its weapons to be as close as possible to its prey’s weapons. Thus he used strength against the bear, arrows against the natives it’s blade against animals with teeth for fighting, etc.
That is a good point. I assumed that it was a low-ranking predator trying to make a name for itself. It didn't have access to a higher level of technology or knowledge about the planet it was on.

It should have used sharped tampons against the main character.
It used its invisibility cloak on a bunny…and then a single wolf…not a heard. A wolf. I’ll give the bear a pass bc it was losing the fight until then but A BUNNY!!! Yea dope predator for sure!!!
I always got the feeling that Chet hunted with the Yautja equivalent of whatever his target used. Arrows and blades for arrow hunters, and then projectile weapons once the humans started using guns. It really seemed like he was trying not to go overboard.
Could be because he was a young predator and hadn’t earned higher grade weapons yet.
I saw Predator 2 in the movie theater when i was 12,still love the movie today.

Props to Predator 2. Chad, Danny Glover, and King Willie made my summer. That was a fun movie.

There’s a break in the “timeline”. The one where the predator doesn’t have anything to do with the Aliens… from alien. And the AvP line. So…
Prey, Predator, Predators
And
Predator 2, AvP, AvPR, the Predator.
Because of the easter egg skull at the end of Predator 2 we got the start of the AvP comics.
You can’t call the Feral Predator from Prey “Chet”. Chet is the name of the hybrid Xenomorph from AvPR that is mixed with a Predator. On set and among fans. His name is Feral, and we’ve already got a Chet.
I thought the "Game Preserve" Predator was a pretty good. The plot and concept especially.

I agreed with everything you said except for your criticism of Predator 2. I though it was a very good movie.. It wasn't as good as the tfirst but it was very good and Danny Glover gave a great performance. In fact, he was the best thing about Predator 2.

My issue with the predator is the inconsistency of their strength and abilities portrayed by the movies. Most obvious one is running speed, they're supposed to be fast but yet in movies they're not faster than the slug human that's in a suit. Only Prey did them justice by using CGI in the birdseye view of it running in grass.

1. Prey - Set in 1719
2. The Terminator - Set in 1984
3. Predator - Set in 1987
4. Terminator 2: Judgment Day - Set in 1995
5. Predator 2 - set in 1997
6. Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines set in 2004
7. AVP: Alien vs. Predator - Set in 2004 (happens alongside terminator 3, the nuke in the end being sent by skynet/genisys)
8. AVPR: Aliens vs Predator Requiem - Immediate follow-up, Set in 2004 (weyland yutani attempts and is successful in over riding skynet/genisys, using predator technology.)
9. Predators - Apparently set in 2010 (happens on a different planet, possibly all the 'assassins' are from 2004 pre- requiem, and kept in stasis for space travel for 6 years without their knowledge)
10. Terminator Genisys - set in 2017
11. Terminator Salvation Set in 2018 (change skynet to genisys, timeline splits into 2 timelines, done)
12. The Predator - Apparently set in 2018 (Perhaps after the new judgement day splitting it into 2 timelines?)
13. Terminator: Dark Fate set in 2019 (perhaps after Genisys, going back and resetting it to one timeline, removing genisys and the predator 2018.)
14. Blade Runner - Set in approx. 2019 (perhaps after a new judgement day splitting it into 2 timelines and Dark Fate resetting it back to one? weyland yutani successfully and permanently disables skynet/genisys, morphing it into 'mother' on their new space crafts and the beginnings of the androids like David, integrating alien/predator tech and rebuilding society)
15. Soldier - Set in approx. 2035
16. Blade Runner 2049 - Set in approx. 2049
17. Prometheus - Set in approx. 2092 (skynet/genisys 're-emerge' in the android David, deciding a biological 'terminator' would be more efficient in ending humanity, now that they've become space faring and have spread throughout the universe.)
18. Alien: Covenant - Set in approx. 2104
19. Alien - 30 years later, approx. 2122
20. Aliens - 57 years later, approx. 2179
21. Alien 3 - Immediate follow-up, also 2179
22. Alien: Resurrection - 200 years later, approx. 2379
All parenthesis happen either in new movies set in the appropriate timelines, or are added to the existing movies ala George Lucas style 'improvements'.
Did all of these movies really connect one another? 🤔 This was amazing and mind-blowing honestly.

That they are all cannon with each other . I feel that Robocop and terminator could be canon with each other
So far, my favorite is Prey. It's raw and it really depicted a young predator ready to explore and hunt. Its ability and skills really what ive really want to see in a predator. It definitely gave justice on the previous Predator series.

Hmm. I’m not trying to be rude but if you look at the actual time the avp timeline is actually waaay after prey. The young blood from prey is going through his rite of passage and around this time the weapons of the predators are also primitive and it’s not the first time they seen humans as worthy game. The flintlock gun that the guy gave her is actually from the pirate era that a captain obtain during a mutiny with the help of a young blood

What's with the negativity around Predator 2 from some fans. The movie is so so underrated and still a masterclass worthy sequal to the outstanding Predator 1! I mean, who can forget.... "Voodoo magic, fooking voodoo magic man!", or King Willies "You can't see the eyes of the demon, until he come calling!"

i think you forgot about how the alien timeline works in the alien movies,they didnt even get bred untill wayyyy more in the future.prometheus was set in 2089.when they were basicaly born.alien was in 2122. the first predator was set in 1987. so i wonder how the predators managed to implant aliens into the earth before that? lol they fucked up :P

Predator 1 and 2 are the best. P1 best design and P2 good upgrade without totally changing the face. The rest have messed with the face so much it doesn't look right. More articulation of the mandibles means sloppy mouth flaps.
Part one is the best one and part two was the last good one.
