Thanks man. I haven't seen a traditional ham with pineapple and cherries in a very long time. Almost forgot about it. You just brought me back to my childhood.
Made one for my now wife way back when we 1st got together, you know what she does ??!!! Throws away the pineapple and cherries not knowing you eat them haha. Now she know to stay out the kitchen.
...ps. I noticed that your two previous pineapples that were removed, are still lying there. I'd like to suggest, (and this is something that I *love),* is when you're having your ham sandwich, place that pineapple and cherry on your ham, in your sandwich, and add some mustard, for a Thanksgiving affect, all year round. It's *delicious!*
Yummy. If the whole cloves are too strong, I would say put a little ground cloves in the glaze. I made a regular glaze and added the pineapple juice from the can last Thanksgiving, BUT this year I’m adding in the bourbon. 😊 it’s going down.
Hey AB.... That looks great and I'm sure the taste is even better. Before I glaze the ham, I take most of the liquid and use it for my greens, green beans or a pot of any kind of beans. Give it a try one time. Happy Sunday Fam!!💞
I was thinking that this is a lotta work for something that tastes REALLY good on its own but....if you are presenting it to your family and friends for such a big holiday dinner such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter etc. I don't think it's quite so labor involved for the ones you love & care about the most! Thanks, as always AB for sharing your love & knowledge of the things & more we love to have for our meals! God bless! ~ Scott 💙🙏🏼👊🏼
Put the cloves in first and you can just pin the skin into place. If you can’t use cloves, like me because some of my family is allergic, then soak toothpicks in water overnight and use them instead. Add the cherries and pineapple to and around the toothpicks. Remove before carving. Also for those who would prefer to skip the bourbon, add 1 pound (2 cups) packed light brown sugar to 2 or 3 ounces of Vernor’s or Canada Dry Ginger Ale. Start with 2. Let the bubbles do the work for a minute before stirring. You don’t want it to be too runny, more like a milk shake consistency. Pour over and baste every 20 to 30 minutes. Save the juice, not just for soup, but also as an au jus. We like to dip it dip it!
Love your website love your recipes. You made that ham like my mama used to. Thank you for the memories. Definitely making this for thanksgiving. Keep up the good work sir, God bless you
That's how my parents did it. The cloves, pineapples and cherries with that glaze. Plenty of extras for each of those items to last with the rest of serving the ham till it's gone. Excellent job AB, keep up the awesome work👍🍒
Amen 🙏🏾 Chef 👩🍳 AB I love ❤️ Honey Glazed Ham with pineapple and cherry 🍒 on top Amen 🙏🏾 for Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas dinner 🥘 Amen 🙏🏾 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Oh my God that is beautiful!!!! My mouth is watering right now watching the glaze just dripping off the ham 😋. Ham is my weakness. I plan on doing mine just like this!!!!
This is nearly the exact way to cook a Thanksgiving ham that my Momma taught me - minus the homemade honey/bourbon glaze, which looks amazing BTW. I don't think Momma was too keen on teaching a child to cook with alcohol. I can't seem to determine your measurements or types of honey and bourbon. I'd probably use Golden Blossom and Jim Beam. My Momma never really measured anything. It was always, "just a little", or "a tad more", or "not too much now". She was a true gem. But now I can't wait to try this recipe this Thanksgiving. Thanks for sharing, man!😊
I use you as my cheat code. Everyone think i am a great cook until they ask how to do it in front of them then i have to say my man no diddy Big AB THANKS FOR ALL OF YOUR VIDEOS GOD BLESS ND HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU ND ALL YOUR LOVE ONES ❤❤
Helpful tip, if you put some oil on a paper towel and rub it around the inside of your measuring cup/spoon your honey will effortlessly slide right out. ✅️ Looks amazing are always !
That's trophy material right there. I don't think there's anything you can do to make that better. I'm like you AB. Gotta make a sammich. Excellent job and had my mouth watering when you poured the glaze.
Yessss shiny side up!! Won’t change my mind 😂. Cloves add a lil extra zush to the ham in my opinion 👍🏽. Now if I can get mom to give up on them high behind HoneyBaked folks 😫.
Hey so I never used cloves so can u tell me like what it taste like r what it's compared to no body I no have used cloves 😂 I am going try it but I was just wondering what's it like r what other dish I can use it in p.s it look soo so good Presentation and A+ man
Just a question, Couldn't the toothpicks be left whole, an inserted into the cherry that is placed inside of each pineapple slice, to hold the pineapple in place?
Did you know that liver transplant patients are told they can’t have any food that has alcohol cooked in it, the doctors say it doesn’t totally cook out. Just an FYI.

When mom always made hams like that for Easter, always pineapple slices with cherries and clove. Brings back very good memories. Thank you very much.

Yes I love a glaze on my ham
Hi AB that's the way my mom cooked her ham every year and my dad and me didn't care for the cloves
Bone in Not spiral sliced is the only way to go. I like a little more savory than really sweet.
I can’t wait to make this mannnnn !!

Can one make a honey bourbon glazed turkey? Would that taste good? (Probably not with cherries)
Salted or unsalted butter?
