Mercari is my platform. eBay is too complicated.
Mercari does not protect sellers like eBay does when a "standard envelope" gets lost without a scan. Huge scam.
I do free shipping on Mercari because their shipping is so high as well. I sell a lot of reference books and boxed sets they are pretty heavy. I get a rate off Pirate Ship- I live almost smack in the middle of the country so I use Boston's zip code, and add the rate to my selling price. I haven't been burned so far, knock on wood. Also, it seems shoppers on Mercari aren't as price-conscious as eBay. I don't get those crazy lowball offers, or the buyers who grind you on price for three days before they pull the trigger.
Mercari is so easy to use for selling & buying. I like that I can cash out or shop. Last year I shopped more than cash out ;)

My question is, as a school teacher who has an hour commute and I never have time to be on my phone to check my mail until at least 7:00 p.m., there is no way I can ship until 1-2 business days after the sale. Hi, I have a ? I'm sure you will have the answer. Why is white the preferred background color? I was assuming black would stand out items better. I have not started selling but will be soon. I've taken pics with both backgrounds and black seems to pop more. I'm not sure when posting it would show the same as on my camera. Please help. Thank you.

It is a great place to sell video games over half of the ones I have sold have sold for more on Mercari than the sold prices on ebay.

There used to be a local place that sold them. I don’t think they do it anymore.
I can't stand selling on Mercari but I do it. They took my account balance and held it for 14 days until my account was verified. Just beware!

I leave the local option on all of my listings. I had one local sale so far. Everything went fine.
When crosslisting, do you ever receive more than one buyer for the same item? How does List Perfectly prevent this from happening?

Why do you give free shipping on mecari? Doesn’t it reduce your profit? Do you think it gets you more orders?
You just increase the price to include shipping. I use pirate ship to ship.
Does Mercari assign an Order Number to an item that sold.

You can sell almost anything on mercari. Check the rules for items that violate mercari terms of service.

Why Free Shipping, more sales ?
I use pirate ship the rates are cheaper thank Mercari. So I just increase the price knowing I have to cover the shipping.
Does list perfectly automatically delist as well?
You go in and pull the item up in the catalog and it pulls it up to take down. That is if you use the catalog otherwise you have to manually remove.

I'm more of a plush kinda girl! I have more plush that I know what to do with. I can't pass them up. They totally make me sparkle
