I'm a bit confused. When you're setting up an outstream video, you can do it with a basic display ad? And when the advertisers want to target this line item, wouldn't it need to be enabled in the Ad Experience that video ads are allowed?
The Outstream video is from 3rd party ad networks, which is not the same as the video experience from Google. Their tag is normally programmed to serve as outstream, and all you do it target it to a supported display ad unit size.

I mean they carry a tag but internally how would my ad unit allow videos if it's defined as display?
Declaring the ad unit to allow videos in GAM only applies to Google demand (i.e. AdX). The Outstream tag from 3rd party is already programmed to serve such format and doesn't need any sort of declaration.

Hi, if you want Adsense only, run the Vignette ad format via Auto-ads and just deploy the code straight to your site's HTML. No need to run via GAM. Check out pubguruUniversity.com
ah, my apologies! I got them mixed up in my head when I first replied (multitasking does that!). I don't think AdSense supports Outstream as of now, even with auto-ads, they don't offer that format yet. Your best option as of now is a 3rd party provider like Primis or AnyClip.
I need a VAST ad for in streaming on my videos on my website. I went through your entire video at least 20 times and it doesn't help. I need a vast.xml url and google is only giving me a long VIDEO TAG. How do I go about having pre roll video ads and how do I get the vast.xml. Your videos are good but they don't say why we are doing things...no offense. I need a vast.xml url and google, per your steps, are only giving me a video tag and that's not what I need.
You only need to paste that video ad tag in the browser and it will return an XML response. You can then copy the entire response. That’s the only way to get the xml for video ads.

I have one AdSense account by which I created a GAM account and after setting it properly the GAM ad units have started showing ads on the website which is eventually AdSense approved. (Let me tell you i only have AdSense as a ad provider.) But I have one more website where I want to show ads from this GAM account, for that do I need to add that website to that same AdSense account which is linked to that GAM and make it AdSense approved ? Let me tell you the new website is also approved by AdSense but on a different AdSense account, so basically I have 2 AdSense accounts( one on my family members name) and I don't want to use two GAM accounts. what I did is I added the GAM tags to the new website as well,but without approving it on the AdSense which is connected with the GAM, just added the ads.txt and then pasted the GAM tags and I found that the ads are not showing on new website, blank space only.
