Hi Kate, thanks for the recommendation. I have already followed all you tutorials and implemented Ad Manager on few sites (my properties), but I think I will take the "Advanced Ad Optimization Certification Course", especially to get access to the community.
One strange and annoying thing that happened to me recently is that I discover that a "programmatic marketplace" that i was using before switching to GAM is not working with GAM. They say that their tag must be hard coded on the website. This is quite annoying because it's like either them or GAM. Did you ever experience things link to this? And, in a case, is this due to 'real' technical issues or is just a trick of the network to keep publishers locked to them, avoid competition and, eventually, manipulate CPM/impressions? Thank you for all you have created on this channel! :)

Hi there! Yes, there are demand partners/ad networks that require their tags to be hardcoded and are incompatible with GAM. If they bring incremental revenue without negatively affecting other ad slots, it might be worth keeping them. Otherwise, test by deactivating their tag and see if other ad slots start to perform better. It is important to know how exactly their tech works as they might be causing other ad slots to perform worse than they should.
I would personally avoid them if possible, depending on how they impact my overall revenues and ad inventory performance.
Enjoy the Advanced Ad Optimization Certification Course, and hope to hear from you in the community!
