Teleport grabbing is amazing to do to people because for them to be able to duck it they need to let go of block while being crouched. Just repeat until they let go of Block and next Teleport use a low combo to start.
I'm a complete beginner and I really appreciate you taking the time mid-video to explain terms like shimmy or option select ♥. Top tier video, thank you for the guides.
Amazing video! Got a tip for players who are struggling with the timing of the back grab combo. Immediately after the lightning around Raidens feet disappear at 32:41 input F-R1. After Jax appears on the screen and says "Gotcha" you'll hear a back breaking sound immediately input F-34 after that sound
So I main Raiden and I thought I knew all of his good and Bad frames, you actually helped me learn more that I missed and I missed a lot! Thanks man great Guide
thanks for the video, it's super helpful! if you're open to it, i'd love to see a video showing how you lab a matchup. i've just been going into practice mode and taking note of plus and significantly (-9 or more) minus moves, and any gaps in strings, so i can hopefully at least recognize them when i see them, but i don't really know where to go from there. thanks again, this and the johnny guide were both great!
Thanks for this content, really good stuff. Coming from a pro player, always good to see how a character is broken down. One suggestion that I have is to use timestamps in your videos so players can easily refer back to the part they're most interested in, which I personally will.
I started maining raiden yesterday. He's amazingly good. I came here looking for more info and you didn't disappoint. I didn't know the 500 dmg was possible with raiden. You missed how the teleport can be used for combos as well. When amplified it gets you into air combo position so you can do 134 bf3 which is decent. It also covers the gap when using f43 from max range to cancel with amp teleport
The Johnny helped me now I’m sure the raiden bouta help me… now I need a Liu Kang … I need a General Shao…. And a Geras guide…. From you tho … yours help a lot
excellent guide!! I'm also a beginner MK enthusiast coming from Theken 7 (where my level was intermediate / lil advanced ) and your explanation was awesome. If I can make one suggestion for future videos, it would be to add "timestamps" on the TH-cam videos so it's easy to navigate between different aspects of the char or if coming back to the video, it's easier to get back to a specific point of the guide video. can't wait to get my ps5 in a couple of weeks, and I think these videos of you, sonic fox etc are an excellent head start 🙂
Just facts. This game has so much insane but fun stuff. I feel like Raiden was designed to be the beginner character in this game. Modern fighting games are currently struggling with how to get people to stick to them, and most of that is execution barrier. People just want to do combos. Sf6 tried modern controls.. nah. Project L is all simple controls. Mk1 did it right. The execution is easy enough where newbies can land 30%-40% combos. My friend has like 8 hours of total play time, first fight game, and he can do all the raiden bnb in this video. It’s making him stick with it.
Those players that use raiden in higher ranks just tryna do combos loose, it’s not just about the combos that help you win. Also punishing raiden is so easy because they just do the same thing over and over.
This was amazing, How about a guide on basics like let's say we like you said stay in mid range. But the other person is doing lots of lows or safe strings, what do you do to open that and much more
Subscribed, great vid... Only picked up raiden today, with kung Lao kameo.... Getting 44% 1 bar, might be able to get the spin in twice have to lab... Also the low buzz saw hold, teleport hit him with an overhead back 4 and low simultaneously.... Or the forward 34...
Invaluable guide with all of the information for the character being presented the way you did it! The only suggestion I would say is to maybe separate the guide into sections if you intend to do more (PLEASE DO MORE). This helped me a ton in learning as I can't spend so much time like I used to in the lab.
Hey bro great guide bro he is about to be my second main i wanted to know what combo potential hes ex port has? Ive used some but wanna know the full potential
It depends if you prefer more damage in a combo or set up your opponent into another potential combo. Jax = More combo Frost = Set up for potential combo Depends on your play style
If you look at his inputs there is no dash cancels. I kept trying to dash cancel due to mk11 tendencies and drop it. It truly is just as the combo says. They give you way more room than you’d think to hit it
the only problem i have is how to stop people mashing without a quick mid, they always duck the high of his main string and take their turn, some ideas?
I was a sub zero main until I couldn’t take it anymore. Now I’m trying raiden and I’ve tried fighting people online ( I can do combos) and it looks like a toddler is using raiden. I don’t know how to move in with him comfortably. Any tips from anyone? Like I truly get mopped
Yeah this is my main issue with him. He does good damage whenever he does get an opening but his strings are easy to remember and block. He doesn’t have a lot of mixups. I Guess It’s kind of balanced that way, you just really gotta play good neutral and know when you have frame advantage.
Using this as a guide to study raiden not play. He’s so brain dead and easy asl to play. They definitely gonna nerf his damage. Also can you unblock the second hit of his overhead head kick?
Most trash player “ raiden so broken he hit you get 40-50 percent”. Any average player his buttons aren’t good. He’s predictable. He hasn’t been played in any tournament and made it to finals. Trash players “ but I do unsafe stuff and mash and lose to Raiden nerf him”. Me “typical fighting game”

it should be noted more that Electric fly is a dive bomb now in the air instead of just flying straight ahead
pretty handy
Raiden is my favorite character ...he has some awesome moves on MK1...I appreciate this video and will be working on my combos better
So I main Raiden and I thought I knew all of his good and Bad frames, you actually helped me learn more that I missed and I missed a lot! Thanks man great Guide
thx for the guide
btw is raiden supposed to be that strong when he was younG?
i really like how you put the controller on the screen with the button references for people who dont really know
thanks for the video, it's super helpful! if you're open to it, i'd love to see a video showing how you lab a matchup. i've just been going into practice mode and taking note of plus and significantly (-9 or more) minus moves, and any gaps in strings, so i can hopefully at least recognize them when i see them, but i don't really know where to go from there. thanks again, this and the johnny guide were both great!
I be blessing people with raiden he my main since the beginning of mk1 I’m a VI on rank
Ninja killa probably secretly training with another main character until raiden gets nerfed 😂
😂😂😂😂

Dude I was just planning on playing raiden after Johnny… ur a legend

This was fantastic! Any chance you can do liu kang too?
Great guide, really appreciate u going into details on which buttons and strings to use in different scenarios!
The Johnny helped me now I’m sure the raiden bouta help me… now I need a Liu Kang … I need a General Shao…. And a Geras guide…. From you tho … yours help a lot
Great video dude. As someone who has zero fighting game experience but really wanted to play this one you made it really easy to understand
Best raiden guide out there
Amazing guide, love the in depth explanation

I was waiting for another one! Super excited to play raiden now lol
How to win with raiden: press buttons and get 40% off anything. I’m jk great guide tho

You not wrong mate

@@Fuxology you can say the same for literally any character at high tier gameplay😂 everyone does the same 2-3 40% combo strings they know.
@@brandonfrye2902 no shit just stating because all people do is bitch.
This was amazing, How about a guide on basics like let's say we like you said stay in mid range. But the other person is doing lots of lows or safe strings, what do you do to open that and much more
dude your guides are the best on the Tube Nbs
Just decided to take on a second main. I keep get bodied by raiden so I thought I’d adopt him. I’ll be starting with this guide 🙏🏼
Subscribed, great vid... Only picked up raiden today, with kung Lao kameo.... Getting 44% 1 bar, might be able to get the spin in twice have to lab... Also the low buzz saw hold, teleport hit him with an overhead back 4 and low simultaneously.... Or the forward 34...

i liked how you broke it down buttons strings combos and kameo combos
Great video Kombat

Great guide man! Streams been lit too - GG
Great video man! Only missing a combo with F22 starter: i don't know what string to connect, before the DF2 launcher (with Jax cameo)
Glad you making content man u def one of the best out here
👌 Very good! Thank you for this amazing guide.
Excellent tutorial friend blessings
Love this tutorial mate ❤
any chance we get request guides? like a kitana guide for example 😚
solid guide👌
crazy guide
I like Johnny and raiden. In sf6 I played luke. I think I’ll play jc and raiden in mk1.
He is very fun, great guide
Thank you for the help
Amazing video FR
Perfect guide 👌
This is great! Thank you.
Hey bro great guide bro he is about to be my second main i wanted to know what combo potential hes ex port has? Ive used some but wanna know the full potential
thanks for the amazing guide once again
Preciate the content as always 🙏🙏
You can hold back when calling jax and cut the dash out of the combos
Thank you for this
Love the guides I’ll like a baraka one next if you feeling up to it,and we love the guides but we wanna see gameplay from you also🔥
This was good
Thank you fór this ❤
Did you have a stroke when naming the chapters for this video?
Awsome guide, I wish you would do one on Kitana
great video ty
Tele launches for two bars as well
Do one on Nitara or havik
I truly hate that I land the F43 so much but I can never get the shocker to come out to get my combo.
goated
Ik I’m late but I wanted to ask what should you do when going for the unblockable setup against armored wake ups like reptiles slide
How do I prevent Jax from pushing me way when I call him for the back breaker ?
hi, do you think jax is better then frost as kameo for raiden? thx a lot for this guide xD
It depends if you prefer more damage in a combo or set up your opponent into another potential combo.
Jax = More combo
Frost = Set up for potential combo
Depends on your play style
great tutorial, I'm having trouble getting the df2 after the f22 in a combo. I can do it every time out of a combo but in a combo is weird timing
If you look at his inputs there is no dash cancels. I kept trying to dash cancel due to mk11 tendencies and drop it. It truly is just as the combo says. They give you way more room than you’d think to hit it
@@howdydoodydoo3631 i can hit that part now, now im just missing the 3 before the exdf2 sometimes lol
they really do give you more room than you think@@howdydoodydoo3631
U don’t need to dash at all wit raiden combos just walk forward a lil bit before they drop too fast
u shud make the title advanced pro guide this not like any guide out there. Thak you for making it
Any tips on connecting the DF2 after any F22? I can never get these to connect in a combo but just fine by themselves.
the only problem i have is how to stop people mashing without a quick mid, they always duck the high of his main string and take their turn, some ideas?
what s up with the glowing eyes he gets sometimes from blocking? Is that a passive or just aesthetics? Looks a bit like quick charge from mk11
Can someone please tell me how I do armored wake ups !??
Wrong on the teleport, it can be EXd and its a launcher that changes sides.
You CAN ex teleport. It’s a launcher
Any help on the kameo timing
I was a sub zero main until I couldn’t take it anymore. Now I’m trying raiden and I’ve tried fighting people online ( I can do combos) and it looks like a toddler is using raiden. I don’t know how to move in with him comfortably. Any tips from anyone? Like I truly get mopped
i cant never time the jax kameo after da shocker ability how tf do u do it
If you can mash d1 or d3 you can beat raiden. Its that simple at least in KL.
How do you do the Jax combo it keeps knocking me back
After DF2, wait a bit longer, that happens when you call Jax too soon.
Gather here if you're learning for Shang...
F43 into shocker and F33 into shocker almost never comes out for me online. F22 into F33 NEVER comes out
I have been using raiden since early release 41 wins 19 losses 😂 a lot of rage quits 💀
Swear😭😭😭
Dude what is it with people rage quitting against Raiden I had three people doing that when i was using him
Not balanced
I keep facing people who block every one of raidens strings… it’s so hard to play him in kombat league
Yep, because so many people play raiden, a bunch of people learn the matchup
Highest reward, lowest effort character gets seen a lot so ppl have to learn matchup
why no timestamps?
Whate the hell is S3 input
I still struggle opening ppl up, his strings are predictable and kinda slow
Yeah this is my main issue with him. He does good damage whenever he does get an opening but his strings are easy to remember and block. He doesn’t have a lot of mixups. I Guess It’s kind of balanced that way, you just really gotta play good neutral and know when you have frame advantage.
U can ex his teleport it's 2 bars and a launcher it's not really worth it
Using this as a guide to study raiden not play. He’s so brain dead and easy asl to play. They definitely gonna nerf his damage. Also can you unblock the second hit of his overhead head kick?
First like Brazil kkkk
the online Raiden spam is ridiculous. make a how to stop Raiden guide smh
Me “typical fighting game”
why ur vid so long lol the other dude that popped up when i searched raiden guide is like 8 minutes
