If you're going in the summer, hydrate! Drink plenty of water. Don't try to do or see everything on your first visit. You can't do it. Trust me you will be back in Vegas. Wear comfortable shoes. Get off the Strip. Check out Downtown, especially Fremont Street Experience. Be aware of your surroundings just like you would back home. If you don't gamble, that's okay. There's more to Vegas than gambling.
Hi Tim..., Excellent, excellent video and very ( important information ) for first or second-timers to Las Vegas, Nevada. * My two tips are: #1) "Wear used broke in ( comfortable ) shoes." Not new shoes..., used broke in comfortable shoes that you enjoy and like to wear... WHY: Once, I wore ( cowboy boots ) and walked the entire Strip, from beginning to end or downtown Las Vegas. Big mistake... When I returned to my hotel room on the south end of the Strip..., I felt moisture or liquid in my boots... When I took off my boots, there was blood on my socks and inside of my cowboy boots, and I had ( painful major blisters ) on my toes and feet... The next day..., after applying water-proof bandages from the hotel "Gift Shop" ( next time, use CVS or Walgreen's ) all over my toes and feet and limped to Las Vegas Blvd. ( The Strip ) and looked for a ( Skechers ) walking shoe store..., there are three (3) or four (4) ( Skechers Shoe Stores ) on ( The Strip )..., wonder why ? LOL * The young lady at the Skechers walking shoe store knew I was in trouble the second I walked into her store. * "I asked for the most comfortable men's walking shoes for Las Vegas ?" She laughed... #2) The young lady said..., "Before you buy the most comfortable walking shoes for men in Las Vegas..., remember that they are "NEW" and ( NOT ) broken-in walking shoes." "However..., I have a simple solution that will help your walking experience and save part of your trip to Vegas without so much pain." "We have ( non or no blister ) socks for your new comfortable walking shoes." I said..., "WHAT ?" "There is a way to bandage your toes and feet, and ( non or no blister ) socks would also help." The new Skechers men's comfortable walking shoes felt great, and the new ( non or no blister ) socks were a blessing ! ! * Those are my two (2) tips for first or second-timers to Las Vegas, Nevada, and a ( better experience ) than what I did... I ( learned my lesson ) on comfortable walking shoes in Las Vegas and pain. * Because..., nothing in Las Vegas is close-by... That hotel & casino or restaurant and/or bar..., are ( NOT ) that close in Las Vegas..., even on ( The Strip ). It is a distance away... #1) Wear comfortable broken-in shoes. #2) Buy ( non or no blister ) socks for your shoes. * "Amazon" has some excellent ( non or no blister ) socks. You won't regret it... * Nobody..., in Las Vegas cares about..., what your shoes look like... Enjoy your trip to the entertainment capital of the world... Mike in Montana P.S.: #3) Bring ( MONEY )..., because everything on ( The Strip ) has gone up in price (e.g., rooms, restaurants, drinks, food or snacks, coffee shops, and non-paying loose slot machines with a random number generator (RNG) computer chip, and a higher casino house advantage or casino house percentage ( % ) on all games in the pit, against the players, and just about everything has gone up in price as of June 20, 2022 ). I care about you and your feet in Las Vegas... I hope..., I helped... ? " Semper Fi " Mike :)
I think that the first thing you mentioned is one of the most important: Go with the right group or person! You definitely don't want your vibe killed because you chose the wrong travel companion(s). Gotta know how to hang when you go to Vegas!
Huge tips for Vegas: - ALWAYS HAVE CASH AND YOUR ID. It is mandatory and you will not be able to do anything out there without it. 1. Bring your own alcohol bottles because drinks are expensive! 2. Always look for promoters on the strip, that will save you chunks of money going to the clubs. 3. Never gamble drunk. 4. Stay away from the showgirls or guys, they rip you off big time for photos. 5. Bring good shoes because you will be walking a lot on the strip.
My two tips I say would be 1. Bring your alcohol and pack it and never buy alcohol from hotel stores but CVS/Walgreens if you do buy there 2. Simply stay on the strip for the first time
Plan ahead tip. That’s what we do. A few things planned and paid for before we leave. The rest is whatever may come. We don’t like to much itinerary that vacations become a schedule. For instance let’s say your having a good time at a casino but look at the watch and damn we have to go. Bag that!! And budget we have envelopes for each day of gambling. Usually $200-$300 each per day. Depending on how long we are staying. More for short trips.
Just stumbled on your channel (after watching several not so good ones) and the info you give and the way you deliver it is top notch. The first tip about who you choose to go with is so true, but not something most people really think about. If you aren't all on the same page, it will make or break your trip. A little tip I have for Vegas, or travel in general--bring a small Britta pitcher and a reusable water bottle. It's a bit bulky, but it'll save you a bunch of money over time and you never run out of good tasting water. Buying bottled water costs more than gas.
Perfect coverage for first timers. Essential tips to pay heed to. It's a smart thinking on your part to have covered up very important things to know for a first time trip. Thank you.
I really enjoy watching your videos. You're quite a storytelling. I'm taking a solo trip to Vegas for my birthday and retirement celebration 🍾 This August. This is my first time in a long time when I was in Vegas. Thank you for all your tips they were very informative. 😊
Great video!! Wear COMFORTABLE shoes Ladies. And loose clothes because it gets hot during the day. thank you so much for these tips, it is very helpful for my younger people who want to go this summer great tips great job as always you're the best
My 2 tips would be to wear comfortable shoes and to catch some cirque du soleil shows…..I’m going to Vegas in April for the u.a.w. Convention and this will be my 14th trip there. I was looking for a good roundtrip limo service for when i come and i will be reserving with Presidential (your recommendation). Thanks for the video.
My friend's daughter went with a college friend and they saved a TON of money while on vacation. How? They hired an Uber and went to a grocery store. Bought lots of water, snacks and even some booze for the room. They never touched the mini fridge and never bought those items at any hotel or place on the strip. She said the extra time it took saved them $$$$$ and they had enough goodies and drinks PLUS water for when they were in the room!! xoxo
That's the thing. Wife & I love Vegas. We go to this or that together, but most of the trip is separate. It works for us. CVS was cheap. Weird thing that a 40oz was 2 dollars more than the same 26oz.
I definitely got got my last time going from the airport to my hotel. Something in my spirit told me not to get into this particular cab, and sure enough, fam tried to finesse me out of an 15 bucks. Dude turned the meter on instead of giving me the flat rate. When I called him out on it, it tried to make it seem like i misunderstood.
One tip I'd pass along is make reservations for restaurants, clubs etc so long as they're free. You can always cancel day-of and those places are never hurting for others to take your place. But not having them and then trying last minute? Good luck. Way easier to have them and cancel if the vibe ain't right Also, getting from McCarran to the hotel: ubers are a bitch to get TO in the parking deck and then expensive once you're IN them. Esp if you're traveling with more than 1 or 2 other people, call a limo service and book a towncar with a driver who meets you at baggage claim. It's minimally more expensive, but saves time, stress AND you show up and kick off your trip feeling like you're packing more than clothes
This video is on point. I have been to vegas three times in the past. My boyfriend and I just went last month together and will be going back in December for his bday. He thought I was crazy when I had two suitcases and two bags full of stuff for vegas. Once we arrived and went to a few places he then understood my method. We had a lot of fun and spent all but 670 dollars of what we budgeted. We didn't gamble at all. We spend most of our money on food, drinking random drinks and partying. Don't forget to visit planet 13 if you ever go to vegas. No medical cards needed.
First timers, stay on the strip. You do not want to waste your time walking/driving back and forth to the strip everyday. Vegas blocks are half miles compared to other cities. Enjoy walking along the strip and not to the strip.
If you're new to Vegas... DO NOT venture off to the Vegas's west side especially near The Strat.. it's a whole nother side of Vegas that isn't all glist and glamour
Brother I have an idea. I send you money for a vegas bet. Anchorage alaska here. We bet on black. Freemont ! 3 queens! Roulette. Film it! Hit me up bro. We figure out your vig!
one pair of them showgirls (the B squad) asked me if I wanted to take a pic with them. I said no. I actually gave them my drink tickets from the mirage cuzI was feeling generous that day, and these (ahem) gals had the nerve to ask me for a tip.

I’m going for the 3rd time at the end of the month, and this video was very helpful. I will be taking my own alcohol this time!
That is most definitely important the second time we went to Vegas we went with the wrong individuals I felt like that trip was just horrible🤦🏽♀️

Good Vid, As a Vegas Traveller since 99 you were spot on. I just discovered that presidential limo has closed down !
Cash, water, comfortable shoes.
Have some nise clothes for the better hotels and restaurants!
Eat at The Peppermill, across from Resort World!
Good breakdown for beginners

Been to Las Vegas a lot times and this definitely a solid beginners guide

Join all Players Clubs! It's the only way to get freebies, cut in lines to buffets, and cabs!
I hollered at "stop the cap!" 😂
Nice video
You a real one tvp

Because TSA loves to confiscate money, take less than $5k per person.
Take a cab to a bank that's open to get cash advance without fees!

Don't get too drunk..
U don’t have to go to the clubs??
