I spent a month in Riverside this summer. My aunt and uncle lived there (Uncle John was a native of the area). My aunt taught at Bryant College and Barrington High School. I really enjoyed my stay and was sad to leave. Met some wonderful people, explored the area, ate some delicious seafood, rode the Crescent Park carousel. I'd love to go back sometime!
Its not only wonderful that they kept and saved the historic Charles ID Looff carousel, but also the beautiful "Hippodrome" carousel building to house the magnificent carousel!!!!!! 👍🎠
Nice video! Part of my Portuguese family lives at Riverside and now I'm able to know a little bit about this lovely place... I hope visit them as soon as possible, adorable town! Thank you for the video! XO.
Great video, i grew up in Riverside and would love to move back. How come you didnt show the Dari-Bee? My family owned that for many years. I worked there for at least 6 years growing up. Also another major church in the area is Riverside Congregational. Also another sporting area is Massasoitt Gun Club off of Forbes st.
this is so awesome! i go to st marks church and went to RMS =)) and sometimes i'll just walk around the cemetery. was this an assignment you had to do or just for the fun of it?

In the 70's and 80's Riverside was a nasty, dirty, dangerous place. The people are the most unfriendly. I left when I was 17. I wish I had even one fond memory of it.
Yeah, I’m originally from RI and I always thought Riverside was one of the poorest places in the state. This videographer seems to think it’s one of the best places in the state. I’m confused. 🤔
@@karatekidakakatelyn8114 that just the thing. It could be a wonderful place, if people would talk to each other. If people would support each other and make each other feel that we are on the same side. I live in one of the poorest neighborhoods in New Orleans, and it's wonderful. Folks smile at each other and mind each others stuff. We run electric extension cords to those who don't have power during hurricanes. I've never understood why people in Riverside aren't neighborly.
@@andrelinoge6096 You’re definitely right. Lots of rich people are unhappy, and poor people are often happy. As you said, kindness is a whole different thing. Happy 2022 Bro. Stay happy & healthy. 🎊
The narrator was rather poorly spoken, glib and disappointing given the richness of the material. He sounds like he "phoned it in." Should have hired a real pro to do that voice-over.
You forgot to mention that Riverside is the land of the misfits...theres more wierdo's in Riverside then in the state of Rhode Island...by the way the bike path is shut down
Hey Byron nana loved your professional and awesome video. Thanks for sharing your talents. XO

There is no such place as Riverside, Rhode Island, except in the mind of the Postal Service. Riverside is a section of East Providence.
It looks so different now.

Love the video, but the music is too LOUD and really not necessary. Maybe just a little soft background music would be nice.
