No long monologue this time (unless I make one without realizing… happens more often than you’d think) but I am getting vibes that indicate Listener-San has a keen understanding of the difference between something pretty and something beautiful. Pretty things are visually appealing but on it’s own they’re ultimately superficial, such as the palace of Versailles and it’s infamy as something that sacrificed way to much in a debatably successful attempt to be the prettiest place on earth, though that’s an extreme example. Beautiful things are more meaningful, they’re the result of a sight that moves someone emotionally. Like a firework show shared with someone special, an heirloom of some sort with extreme importance to its owner, or in this case a child’s smile of pure joy. P.S. When I first heard Listener-San being addressed I heard the word “Hugh” instead of “you”. Probably was just me mishearing things but it’s interesting enough to warrant mention.
