With the just the DAC and Channel 1, it sounds like slow jazz, but then the PSG 3 kicks in and gives it a higher new jack swing tempo. And this is why I fell in love with Spring Yard Zone and I still regard it as my favorite Sonic 1 track (sorry-not-sorry Green Hill).
Yeah! Channel 0 ist most often the part playing the iconic/recognisable part. That's why I like it when they put it in last to complete the symphony here. It all comes together in the end.
At 0:59, I just love how it uses the Ring chime sound, and it mixes in well with the music, so you barely notice it's there when you listen to the whole song.
Every single time, in every single one of your videos, when the DAC starts I start jamming. It's probably some kind of universal law of nature or something.
That bass do be slappin' hard tho. This was awesome to watch, btw. IDK why it just showed up in my recommendations. Hi future TH-cam! I grew up on this game (still have my OG cart!) but seeing how the songs are put together like this is something else. :D

The rhythm-a-tic sensation to this dope tune just make me wanna C-Walk to it. It's just too catchy. The composer for the Sonic 1 game was a mad genius for comin' up with something this bouncy.
This is an underrated zone with an underrated song that's the most jazziest, new jack song you've heard all day. The bass and DAC are quite simple but it highlights the upbeat, almost melancholy melody with undertones providing a unique and great piece. I like this song. P.S Pretty please Metropolis Zone Oscilloscope Deconstruction.
There's so many songs that I've never really cared for until I heard them deconstructed, and now I can't get enough of them. Spring Yard, Oil Ocean, and Sandopolis are zones I've never thought I'd like, and now they're up there with my favorites, with Sandopolis Act 2 at the top.

The sound of the drums in the DAC channel, when isolated like this, really do give away that Michael Jackson influence. Especially when combined with the bassline in channel 1!
@@SM-ok3sz Michael Jackson was actually involved in composing the music for Sonic, but not this game or the second one. This was Masato Nakamura, MJ did the 3rd game but he was uncredited.

The bells at 1:01 is the same sound that was used for the rings
DEEPEST LORE
Never knew, that was a standalone instrument.
and talking about rings, I really think that sound hasn't changed at all, I always hearing it being exact same in every game.
@@huurra14 It has been slightly changed in the Modern games. It has like a sprinkle sound now.
Yes. What, you people thought the rings used the fricking DAC?

Agreed. This is most people's favorite
My personal favorite is star light zone
For me, it’s Labyrinth Zone. I really like the sound of the lead channel. It all sounds mysterious yet treacherous to me.
My favorite is Flying Battery zone act 1 and act 2. It’s super catchy and is just amazing.
If only the level didn't have the moving blocks, it could've outlasted Green Hill in memorability
For me, Channel 0 is the key point. The rings fill me with joy!

Spring yard is officially the best theme in sonic 1,every single instrument is equally Perfect in every way
Now this is just MY opinion. I think marble zone is the best

This feels like a Janet Jackson vibe to the music 😁

If you haven't already, dig up Bobby Brown's 'Every Little Step'
So similar people have already made remixes putting it and Spring Yard together
