Westpac Black cardholder here. Correction on your spreadsheet is that it is up to 66 points per dollar spent and not the other way around. Its everyday spending is 1.25 (previously 1.5 which is what I am on) points per dollar spent on the non bonus vendors. It also works out better for larger spenders as there is no capped amount per month and is 1.25 points uncapped.

REWARD. Thanks for the deep dive o credit cards... I have never owned or used a credit card but have always found it interesting how people use them for the points and bonuses. I still think I will give credit cards a miss but appreciated your video. I will download we money and check my credit score though 😊

This was super informative. Really keen for the travel credit cards video as well! Been struggling to decide on a travel credit card that allows for points transfers to either Qatar, Emirates, or Singapore Airlines. Had Citi Rewards before but found that the customer support was awful and the app/platform was a little clunky as well.

Hi Queenie - what card would you suggest to go with at the moment strictly for frequent flyer points? Would also need to be able to use the annual fee as travel credit if possible! Thanks for the video 🤙🏼😁

U.S. Bank credit card for utilities and internet. Chase Freedom for the drugstore and restaurants. Amazon credit card for Amazon purchases. Lowes credit card for Lowes purchases. Academy credit card for Academy purchases. Blockfi credit card when bitcoin dips. Paypal credit card for general use.
Trying to get a Chase Freedom Flex for that rotating category, but got rejected. Don't know why, I have outstanding credit. Maybe you can't have Freedom Unlimited and Freedom Flex cards at the same time? Dunno.

So many options!! We don’t have Chase cards here in Oz but they look like they have great rewards ☺️ the signup bonuses are awesome!

@@InvestWithQueenie I own all those cards mainly for the cashback. U.S Bank's card gives me 5% back on utilities and internet stuff like Netflix. Chase Freedom gives me 3% back on drugstores and restaurants. Paypal gives me 2% back on everything. I'd like to get the Chase Flex because it sometimes gives 5% back on groceries. I found out the answer to why I got rejected for the Chase Flex: Chase doesn't approve you for a card if you've already gotten five cards within the past two years. Bummer. :-(

Hi Queenie! This video is so timely as I have been contemplating getting my first credit card (i am 23). I do have some concerns about it all though…
I am new to credits cards and feel a little out of my depth. I get nervous when companies and people speak of credit scores (even though I’ve never missed any payments in my life).
Can you pls explain if there any risks of getting denied during the application process and how this might affect credit scores and how this might impact future borrowing.
Also I believe in previous videos you spoke of cancelling credit cards before the the yearly fee. What are the pros and cons of doing this?
P.s love your videos, so glad I stumbled across your channel

Hey Cam, both applying for a credit card and also not getting accepted can tarnish your credit score reputation. now obviously credit cards help to build credit history through consistent sensible spending habits and paying the balance off every month and so applying for credit cards is necessary, in my humble opinion, (not financial advice). meanwhile, if you apply for the credit card and don't get accepted, this can really negatively affect your history, and it's said that it can be a red cross against your name for years. But on the bright side, applying for student credit cards generally takes the stress out of being unaccepted. student credit card criteria only requires you to be over 18, an Australian citizen, and have a stable-ish and consistent income (preferably full time or part time employment). hope this helps Cam. i'm starting my own TH-cam channel in two weeks called Money Diary, you're welcome to say hi when i launch. :)

Could've mentioned the HSBC Platinum which has $0 annual fee for the first year and $600 cashback for $3000 of spend in the first 3 months. Unfortunately, this is only available to existing HSBC customers.
