i keep to myself at Work and my coworkers think i'm anti social. i just don't wanna deal with their bs gossip and drama. like you said, the workplace is like HS all over again with elderly People.
i keep to myself at work as well but i think the reason i'm not called antisocial is because i talk the bare minimum and that's only for work related reasons. i still have my job, i'm happy, my manager is happy, and everyone else is happy (or not). no reason at all to risk all of that just to risk talking to that one employee who will ruin it all for me.

But however, my advice to anyone going into the workforce after high school is just keep your head down and don’t tell people everything about you. My favourite are the bosses and co-workers who insisted you take a medical intervention that’s safe n effective. Also the same people who refuse to sign a form that if you get sick they are responsible for your bills, etc.
They baby sit you through the 2 week training sessions (if your lucky), after that they want to extract as much productivity out of you and then constantly remind you that you should perform better, If you are in a warehouse or factory role (they want you to be as productive as possible) and they constantly monitor you. Then during staff meetings they will come up with Health and safety reminders that are thrown out of the window when your actually working. If your working in an office, its very similar, you can get most of the work done within 2-3 hours out of the 8 hours in the office, But you must constantly look busy. even though ur not actually working on anything and actually have finished the job. You must continue to look busy. such is life
