Learn how to make Psytrance in Ableton Live in the style of Vini Vici and @infectedmushroom in this Psytrance tutorial.
In this step-by-step Psytrance production tutorial, I ONLY use the stock plugins that come with Ableton Live 10, and you can download it for free and play ’til your little heart’s content - breaking apart my methods and using them yourself.

Hi Will! Nice work here, and thanks for the free project 😃 We really feel the Psy vibe and the sound is really clean! We tried to use your template on Windows, which causes the problem to not load Ozone Imager, as Audio Units only works on Mac. We couldn't find its configuration in your video. Can you tell us where you put it and which parameters you have in?

@@EDMTips Haha I try. Listening to loads, especially darker electronica like Austra (Spellwork, Beat and the Pulse are great), TR/ST (Iris), IAMX (North Star is an absolute banger). Scandroid has some cracking synthwave stuff (Neo-Tokyo is great), The Midnight (Memories will get you nostalgic!) Anything with a John Carpenter-ish synth will drag me in as well :)

Ableton live cannot read the .wav files for some reason, the folders are there but not the rest. I can't listen to the samples on any media player either. Help plz :)

Hey, It's just not possible to make the bass sound the same as it is in the video. Already when I just put "VEH3 Basses Root C 05" into the sampler and listen to it in A1 , sounds like crap. I really don't get it :D

At 4:05 you said that Simpler does not have a filter envelope and therefore you switched to Sampler - but Simpler has a filter envelope...
Is Sampler‘s filter envelope just „better“?

So my friend was a trance DJ in the early '90s but he never made his own trance. He just did mixes. Can you tell me what equipment you would need to be a true producer of Trance. I know you can use one computer program and that's all you may need but what equipment dude these trance DJs use? I'm looking to get this equipment and start making this kind of music asap.

i think Goa Gil was One of the first producers of goa/psytrance in India / As well as others artists & when it comes to Infected Mushroom i like there older music and there free plugin which is called Wider

good stuff. when i try to recreate that bass line it sounds nothing near what you did. the rhythm is on time with the kick whereas yours has instant swing before you changed any parameters outside of the midi clip.
I may have assigned the swing to the clip before programming in the bass notes
@@EDMTips i shortened the notes, tuned down the velocity on the first note, added side chain compression and it turned out great. thank you for all your help i know you hear this all the time but your videos have taught me so much in a very short amount of time. thank you so much for sharing your knowledge.

Jumping in late here, but this video is super dope. I’ve never produced any psytrance but it’s now my next project. Please do a video on how to VCMG. I’m not even sure what genre VCMG is, but I really dig that style. It’s kind of like techno, but most certainly not traditional techno.

@@EDMTips I like Spock, Single Blip, Aftermaths, etc. Actually all of the tracks on ssss are brilliant so I'm not particular. VCMG, to me, embodies several styles, i.e., techno, psytrance, minimal. Very difficult to pin down, genre-wise. Is there a such thing as psytechno? lol...
