I have several older Redfield and Weaver scopes that I can now adjust the parallax and use on my rimfires thanks to this video. Much appreciated, Sir.

Learned something once again by watching this video. I’ve had scopes that were like that and I didn’t know I could make that adjustment. Once again, Thanks for sharing.👍👍

The thread locker tip is brilliant. I was thinking of a way to make it adjustable on the fly and you just solved it. Thank you! I’ve had issues with a pistol scope on my SSK-50 and this is exactly what I should have found before doing load development.

Great video. Found it looking for a scope for Crosman 1377 custom shop air pistol I ordered. I shoot mostly airguns, lots of springers. I have 2 scopes that are both AO that are now set at infinity to get them clear at 25 years so something has moved for sure inside. I been wanting to take them apart and see why they fail on spring guns. Will watch the other videos on taking them apart.

The air guns are hard on scopes so I'm told. Good luck. Hope the videos help.

@@kennethdellinger2037 Yeah, just the springers. They jump a little backwards like a normal rifle when the spring drives the piston forward, then suddenly jolt the gun forward when the piston hit's the end of the compression tube. Most scopes are designed to withstand the recoil back, but not the jolt sudden jolt forward that follows.

At what range do i need to do this if i want the paralax set at 50 yards?

Make the adjustment at 50 yards. Normally it only takes a 1/4 turn or less to do this. You'll also notice that the focus will improve at that distance. Thanks for watching!
