Some facts about the movie to give you guys some added context. - This is Justice league as Zack originally intended it to be both in style and story. There was/is enough footage for two whole movies and originally it was suppose to be a two part movie. - Zack couldn't finish the movie because sadly his daughter committed suicide. After he stepped down WB hired Joss Whedon to finish the movie while directing credits still went to Zack. But instead of actually finishing the movie he added 80 pages of script. The movie was cut down to 120 minutes because WB wanted it shorter for theaters. And Joss re-shot a huge portion of the movie completely changing the style and tone of the movie. He's responsible for the horrible CGI chin of Superman. - The movie wasn't a succes because it was a movie made by two different directors which was visible in the movie. But it was basically Joss Whedon's version of Justice League. - So now we get to see Zack's version in all its glory. This version shows us a lot more scenes of Cyborg, The Flash etc etc. We'll get to see character who were cut from the theatrical version such as DeSaad who's Darkseid's torture expert and Iris West who's a love interest for Barry Allen. We'll get to see a extended version of Darkeid's original invasion with Darkseid actually present as seen in the first shot of the trailer. We'll get to see the original design for Steppenwolf and you could see it looks awesome. We'll get to see the black suit of Superman and a whole bunch of other things. - The movie will be released as a 4 part miniseries with each episode being 1 hour long and a 4 hour cut will be released later. But this movie is sadly not intended to replace the theatrical version of Justice League in terms of continuity. This version will count as being set in its own continuity.

I can understand when people say they don't like his interpretation of the characters or that they were bored watching them. But I would never understand the amount of hate Snyder got. I personally love BvS ultimate edition, I never saw the theatrical release. But I understand that it might not be for everyone, but I also feel like a lot people didn't even try to understand his vision.
I completely agree with you, I understand people dint like it but I don't understand when people say it's a bad movie. It's not, it's amazing screenplay and genius story telling but yea it doesn't appease everyone. the original bvs had major context cut out of the movie. an example would be the scene where the mercenaries torch the dead bodies to fake the "superman as a murderer" thing. in the cinema it was "people were shoot by guns, must be superman killing people".

The previous JL has been directed by Joss Whedon who is an Avengers Director and changed Snyder's Vision. So this is the Snyder Cut. Totally different from Whedon's Story. This will release in 4 Parts, One hour each. Cyborg is the heart of this movie. Even Flash has his own content in Snyder's Cut.
Not directed, but Wheedon supervised re-shooting some of the scenes and changed major portions of the movie. He also rewrote major potions o the movie to make it more family-friendly like his movies.
We certainly hope not...I think they wanted to make a movie that would make some kind of money back...the cost was high and the risk even higher with Snyder having to take a major pause to take care of family. That's where we can relate the most...family first. And now it seems...the Justice League will make it mark as Snyder originally intended.

The main character arc of Steppenwolf was going to be that he was tired of serving Darkseid, and hoped to use the motherboxes to be his on boss. That's why when Lex Luthor contacted him after the events of Batman V Superman, he collected his army of Parademons and prepared to invade Earth. Instead, all of this was removed in the theatrical version an he was reduced to a generic bad guy who just wants to conquer Earth and rule it.

According to Zack, the assembly cut of his version was nearly 5 hours. Zack is also going back to the original Steppenwolf design, at least closer to the one in Batman v Superman .
So great to hear he's been able to revisit his potential masterpiece addition to the DCEU. If nothing else, I'm sure he can find peace as a filmmaker that what was presented was HIS work.

Cyborg's origin is in this movie. Even Flash had more character moments. Every character has more character moments. Even Darkseid , Steppenwolf has back stories in this movie.

The original idea was Man of Steel > Batman v Superman > Justice League 1, 2 and 3. A self contained, Lord of the Rings-y type story. Quite the opposite of the MCU. With directors picking a character and doing their own separate movie or even a trilogy. p.s. Joss Whedon didn't come to help out. He was brought in by Geoff Johns to overhaul the entire movie. They removed almost all scenes and shot their own. In the end, the theatrical cut had only around 10% of footage done by Snyder. That's confirmed by the director of photography.

You should also note that a lot of the bad one liners and color grading/score were added in after Zack stepped down. With the Snyder cut, we’ll get the Junkie XL soundtrack (who worked with Hans Zimmer), as well as the original color grading that you see in the 2016 SDCC trailer. With Joss Whedon coming in, we got a lot of those corny shots/lines/jokes and also the CGI mustache which won’t be in this as it was shot beforehand. Been fighting for this since November 23rd, 2017 so it’s amazing to see it come to light.
Only thing i can say is.... dont go into this film thinking its going to be anything like the Justice League that came out in 2017... go in watching with a fresh clean slate.... It will be 4, 1 hour long episodes. It will not be the same film... Same characters sure... but it will overall not be the same film.... Any shot that Zack did NOT film and is not his, he will NOT use..(Hence why many fans werent happy with Justice League 2017)... such as the bad CGI steppanwolf... Bad CGI mustache superman.. all the real bad dialogue.. Flash falling on top of Wonder Woman... all of that is not being used... Those were reshoots Joss Whedon had done to make the script and film under 2 hours... most of Zacks footage wasnt used in the 2017 version.. Zack has stated on several occasions the film was shot in IMAX and was meant to be seen in that format... hence why the bars are on the side of the screen instead of Top and Bottom... gives it a more grander look instead of Wide Screen... if you can watch a movie with black bars on the top and bottom of a screen... them being on the sides instead shouldnt be that big of an issue id take it... but the film you saw in 2017 was not Zacks film.. hopefully that helps clear up a few things... awesome fam reaction... keep up the good work everyone 👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏

According to Zack Snyder, the Justice League is Cyborg's movie. If you have seen DC animated movies or read comics, the Cyborg plays a huge role so the movie will basically be from his perspective.

You need to watch Batman v Superman ultimate Edition. The theatrical did feel off but the ultimate edition is the original intended movie. Do watch that
If you pay attention, you'll actually notice that the lyrics of the song that's used in this trailer have a deeper connection to Snyder's DCEU and his whole journey of recovery after what had happened to his daughter.
The Theatrical cut has about 10 to 15 minutes of Zack's footage... everything else was shot/altered by Whedon and WB. Can't fully blame Whedon because he was brought in to alter it to what the execs at WB wanted....

1:55 This is what you guys didn't get! THIS IS THE ORIGINAL, the one that we saw in the theaters was a course correction by WB trying to marvelize the DCEU. Which was clearly a mistake! They used Snyder's family tragedy to change almost the whole justice league movie.They threw away almost four hours worth of footage, changed the villain's motivation, took Darkseid out of the equation, changed a lot of the aesthetic in the lillte snyder footage that they used and they did that so the executives could keep their bonuses before WB was acquired by AT&T. This is what many reactors don't get. The Snyder cut is not a try to improve the theatrical version, it was the other way around and now WB is giving back what they took from snyder and from us, the fans, the original movie.

I would definitely recommend revisiting Man of Steel(best DCEU film still in my opinion) and BvS: Ultimate cut(the only version that matters) again before going into Zack Snyder’s JL. A lot of ppl now who had a bad taste in their mouth back in those early days of the DCEU concerning these movies now have revisited those films and either love them or at the least appreciate the films for what they were trying to do. Especially having some breathing room from the era of MCU and their tone that took over what modern audiences thought a superhero film should always feel like.
They weren't trying to do what Marvel was doing .. WB chopped up BVS and put out a studio butchered movie..So that's why it felt weird..The full cut of the movie was released to massive success. Marvel wasn't the 1st in history to do a shared universe ..

I have a sleep disorder, so I too sometimes sleep during movies. But with one eye open. So half of my brain is seeing the movie plus whatever is happening in the theater. While the other half is in REM sleep. So my first impression isn't always accurate. It make take one or two more viewings, to see the actual movie as is. Meaning, that I get strange looks from people that I talk too right after the movie, and then I learn that I must've slept during moments, to get wrong visual memories! But when I snort or snore, and wake myself up before dreaming, I don't get dream memories, just looks of annoyance and irritation.
Yes! I cared for them in advance! Why wouldn't I? Just because they are a different version? I liked seeing, "Spider-Man", before he had his own movie! I liked the first "Star Wars" movie before there were prequels. So what gives here? 🤔

Batman v Superman the ULTIMATE CUT is like 30-45 mins longer, the plot and characters fleshed out WAY more. A WAY better film!! You guys should try watching that one!
You guys should check out the ultimate edition for batman v superman if you haven’t yet. It’s Zack’s intended version for that movie. It’s 3 hours long(30mins longer than the TC) and it’s better than the theatrical cut in EVERY WAY. They cut 30 mins of footage(even though it was very very very crucial to the plot) because they thought three hours was too long for a superhero film.
Three of you did better than I did with the Justice League movie! I got so bored I turned it off, at least you sat there for the whole thing, even if you were asleep. For the fight between Superman and the League was the military attacks Superman and the League try to calm him down until Lois comes to him. The League then run back inside the ship where Steppenwolf tries to kill Victor Stone’s father for the mother box and that’s why there’s the scene of Cyborg’s dad dying. It's actually a 3 part movie originally plus a green lantern corps tie in movie. Six movies total with Mos and bvs for the Darkseid saga. Original 3 part plan: movie 1 defeat steppenwolf, learn about Darkseid via the green lantern core. Movie 2 go to apokolyps and get their asses kicked, Darkseid kills Lois which will lead to superman succumbing to the anti life equation which leads to an injustice earth which is shown in the knighmare scenes. Remember Barry popping up in the bat cave saying Lois is the key? Movie 3 batman leads the resistance against a Darkseid controlled superman. Barry tries to save Lois by going back in time and prevent that knightmare injustice future. Which takes him a few tries to get to the right point in time. 1 failed attempt we saw in bvs. Yes Lois is the key part

Zack Snyder had 214 minutes filmed that didn't make it into Joss Whedon's final cut, so we will get back those 214 minutes, filling in a lot of backstory, that should make the movie MUCH better. let's hope! So like the dad said, it should be 4 hours or so.

I don’t know if someone pointed this out but the only reason marvel did Captain America Civil War was because DC was doing Batman vs Superman, they had originally turned down the idea from the Russo Brothers until warner brothers and zack announced BvS, then they greenlit it, so it was more the other way around as who was copying who.
I agreed with you guys fully. There was no character depth to the original JL, meaning it was hard to actually care for any of the characters because we didn’t really know them. I mean I know there’s comics and what not but in terms of the DCEU it seems just convoluted and confusing.

This is a dream come true and the best of both worlds. If you didn’t like the first one (which many didn’t) then you have the originally intended version releasing. Simply amazing and a wish become reality. Justice League deserved better.
I'm the biggest DC stan but I feel like this movie ain't gonna be that much better than Whedon's revision we got in theaters, but I'm glad people are excited about it because Warner Bros kept on saying that the Snyder Cut was a myth and for it to finally come to life is super dope (the CGI still lacking tho)
To pour salt on the wound... Zack was actually fired by WB and around the same time, Autumn Snyder killed herself, so they used the tragedy as an excuse to tell us that he was leaving the project due to the tragedy and that Joss was coming onboard to finish Zack's vision, not re do the whole movie.... So this is why it's a little more emotional for most of us that are familiar with what went down.
Sorry but it will never be as good as the MCU. The MCU had all them movies over the year to really build up the story. The only failure the MCU did was making the Hulk a big wimp!!

This may have been said earlier but WB screwed over snyder twice already, so lets hope they don't do it a 3rd time now. The first time was when he was going to make man of steel 2 and the execs forced him to make BVS instead because batman makes money and they wanted that greed. The 2nd time was justice league because he was going to finish the movie regardless of his daughters death. Due to the criticism of BVS the execs lost faith in snyder to make them money and used the death as an excuse to get rid of him. They thought whedon was a homerun because of the avengers and they wanted that marvel money. The difference between marvel and dc is that disney kept their hands to themselves while warner brothers kept telling the director what to do. Aquaman succeeded because they left the director alone.

I can understand when people say they don't like his interpretation of the characters or that they were bored watching them. But I would never understand the amount of hate Snyder got. I personally love BvS ultimate edition, I never saw the theatrical release. The previous JL has been directed by Joss Whedon who is an Avengers Director and changed Snyder's Vision. So this is the Snyder Cut. Totally different from Whedon's Story. This will release in 4 Parts, One hour each.
Cyborg is the heart of this movie. Even Flash has his own content in Snyder's Cut.
Not directed, but Wheedon supervised re-shooting some of the scenes and changed major portions of the movie. He also rewrote major potions o the movie to make it more family-friendly like his movies.
The worst part is, Whedon ruined the film on purpose according to Cyborg's actor.

The main character arc of Steppenwolf was going to be that he was tired of serving Darkseid, and hoped to use the motherboxes to be his on boss. That's why when Lex Luthor contacted him after the events of Batman V Superman, he collected his army of Parademons and prepared to invade Earth. Instead, all of this was removed in the theatrical version an he was reduced to a generic bad guy who just wants to conquer Earth and rule it.

According to Zack, the assembly cut of his version was nearly 5 hours. Zack is also going back to the original Steppenwolf design, at least closer to the one in Batman v Superman .
So great to hear he's been able to revisit his potential masterpiece addition to the DCEU. If nothing else, I'm sure he can find peace as a filmmaker that what was presented was HIS work.

The original idea was Man of Steel > Batman v Superman > Justice League 1, 2 and 3. A self contained, Lord of the Rings-y type story. Quite the opposite of the MCU.
With directors picking a character and doing their own separate movie or even a trilogy.

Joss Whedon didn't come to help out. He was brought in by Geoff Johns to overhaul the entire movie. They removed almost all scenes and shot their own. In the end, the theatrical cut had only around 10% of footage done by Snyder. That's confirmed by the director of photography.

You should also note that a lot of the bad one liners and color grading/score were added in after Zack stepped down. With the Snyder cut, we’ll get the Junkie XL soundtrack (who worked with Hans Zimmer), as well as the original color grading that you see in the 2016 SDCC trailer. With Joss Whedon coming in, we got a lot of those corny shots/lines/jokes and also the CGI mustache which won’t be in this as it was shot beforehand. Been fighting for this since November 23rd, 2017 so it’s amazing to see it come to light.
Only thing i can say is.... dont go into this film thinking its going to be anything like the Justice League that came out in 2017... go in watching with a fresh clean slate.... It will be 4, 1 hour long episodes.
It will not be the same film... Same characters sure... but it will overall not be the same film.... Any shot that Zack did NOT film and is not his, he will NOT use..(Hence why many fans werent happy with Justice League 2017)... such as the bad CGI steppanwolf... Bad CGI mustache superman.. all the real bad dialogue.. Flash falling on top of Wonder Woman... all of that is not being used... Those were reshoots Joss Whedon had done to make the script and film under 2 hours... most of Zacks footage wasnt used in the 2017 version..
Zack has stated on several occasions the film was shot in IMAX and was meant to be seen in that format... hence why the bars are on the side of the screen instead of Top and Bottom... gives it a more grander look instead of Wide Screen... if you can watch a movie with black bars on the top and bottom of a screen... them being on the sides instead shouldnt be that big of an issue id take it... but the film you saw in 2017 was not Zacks film.. hopefully that helps clear up a few things... awesome fam reaction... keep up the good work everyone 👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏

According to Zack Snyder, the Justice League is Cyborg's movie. If you have seen DC animated movies or read comics, the Cyborg plays a huge role so the movie will basically be from his perspective.

1:55 This is what you guys didn't get! THIS IS THE ORIGINAL, the one that we saw in the theaters was a course correction by WB trying to marvelize the DCEU. Which was clearly a mistake! They used Snyder's family tragedy to change almost the whole justice league movie.They threw away almost four hours worth of footage, changed the villain's motivation, took Darkseid out of the equation, changed a lot of the aesthetic in the lillte snyder footage that they used and they did that so the executives could keep their bonuses before WB was acquired by AT&T. This is what many reactors don't get. The Snyder cut is not a try to improve the theatrical version, it was the other way around and now WB is giving back what they took from snyder and from us, the fans, the original movie.

I would definitely recommend revisiting Man of Steel(best DCEU film still in my opinion) and BvS: Ultimate cut(the only version that matters) again before going into Zack Snyder’s JL. A lot of ppl now who had a bad taste in their mouth back in those early days of the DCEU concerning these movies now have revisited those films and either love them or at the least appreciate the films for what they were trying to do. Especially having some breathing room from the era of MCU and their tone that took over what modern audiences thought a superhero film should always feel like.

I have a sleep disorder, so I too sometimes sleep during movies. But with one eye open. So half of my brain is seeing the movie plus whatever is happening in the theater. While the other half is in REM sleep. So my first impression isn't always accurate. It make take one or two more viewings, to see the actual movie as is. Meaning, that I get strange looks from people that I talk too right after the movie, and then I learn that I must've slept during moments, to get wrong visual memories! But when I snort or snore, and wake myself up before dreaming, I don't get dream memories, just looks of annoyance and irritation.
Yes! I cared for them in advance! Why wouldn't I? Just because they are a different version? I liked seeing, "Spider-Man", before he had his own movie! I liked the first "Star Wars" movie before there were prequels. So what gives here? 🤔

You guys should check out the ultimate edition for batman v superman if you haven’t yet. It’s Zack’s intended version for that movie. It’s 3 hours long(30mins longer than the TC) and it’s better than the theatrical cut in EVERY WAY. They cut 30 mins of footage(even though it was very very very crucial to the plot) because they thought three hours was too long for a superhero film.

It's actually a 3 part movie originally plus a green lantern corps tie in movie. Six movies total with Mos and bvs for the Darkseid saga. Original 3 part plan: movie 1 defeat steppenwolf, learn about Darkseid via the green lantern core. Movie 2 go to apokolyps and get their asses kicked, Darkseid kills Lois which will lead to superman succumbing to the anti life equation which leads to an injustice earth which is shown in the knighmare scenes. Remember Barry popping up in the bat cave saying Lois is the key? Movie 3 batman leads the resistance against a Darkseid controlled superman. Barry tries to save Lois by going back in time and prevent that knightmare injustice future. Which takes him a few tries to get to the right point in time. 1 failed attempt we saw in bvs. Yes Lois is the key part

I don’t know if someone pointed this out but the only reason marvel did Captain America Civil War was because DC was doing Batman vs Superman, they had originally turned down the idea from the Russo Brothers until warner brothers and zack announced BvS, then they greenlit it, so it was more the other way around as who was copying who.
I agreed with you guys fully. There was no character depth to the original JL, meaning it was hard to actually care for any of the characters because we didn’t really know them. I mean I know there’s comics and what not but in terms of the DCEU it seems just convoluted and confusing.

This movie will satisfy you’re family if you’re a true DC fan. I can tell this, is a true Justice League film. They robbed us, but Zack Snyder got us.

Zack was actually fired by WB and around the same time, Autumn Snyder killed herself, so they used the tragedy as an excuse to tell us that he was leaving the project due to the tragedy and that Joss was coming onboard to finish Zack's vision, not re do the whole movie.... This may have been said earlier but WB screwed over snyder twice already, so lets hope they don't do it a 3rd time now. The first time was when he was going to make man of steel 2 and the execs forced him to make BVS instead because batman makes money and they wanted that greed. The 2nd time was justice league because he was going to finish the movie regardless of his daughters death. Due to the criticism of BVS the execs lost faith in snyder to make them money and used the death as an excuse to get rid of him. They thought whedon was a homerun because of the avengers and they wanted that marvel money. The difference between marvel and dc is that disney kept their hands to themselves while warner brothers kept telling the director what to do. Aquaman succeeded because they left the director alone.
