VERY nice video. Do you use Brick Link to buy parts? This place is more budget friendly and have used parts for sale.

Thanks! Yes, I use bricklink and brickowl to buy parts, they are a lot more budget friendly than buying sets! I would also reccommend buying the EV3 expansion set if you want to seriously get into FLL because they have a lot of pieces you'll run out of quickly all in a set for you although sorting out what you need yourself on bricklink or brickowl is cheaper.

@@wordynerd48 I used only bricklink so far and even with shipping charges everthing is much cheaper . I will be getting into FLL next year and already began to learn about programming and design. What is your opinion about new Spike wheels?

@@littlekinderclubcoloringfo5524 I think they're good if not great! There sizing is good as in terms of they match the length snapping of the caster wheels and beams. Basically, they fit without the robot leaning forward or back, especially with the spike prime caster wheels. Spike prime itself is a good set, its a little cheaper and since the display doesn't bulge like the EV3, there is room for bigger attachments. Personally, I would still buy the ev3 kits if you're doing FLL for reasons I'll explain in my spike prime vs EV3 video. 31313 is my favorite but I know a lot of people like the core set more. Brick link is a great website if you're buying pieces, they're cheap like you said but I find Brick Owl a little more user friendly, you should check it out sometime.

They are also great because they are slimmer, I've already designed my robot and attachments for my robot height but if I was competing next year, I would use the spike prime wheels with an EV3 centered bot.

@@wordynerd48 I will check Brick Owl for sure. Only after I started to build my robot,I understood how many loads of parts i need to buy. I got second medium motor now and added two more large motors to my set.
