and be sure to check whether the rules allow for robot equipment to be touching the mission at the end of the match (it's allowed for some missions but not others)

That is true, for missions like the immersive experience and the sound mixer, you would need to make sure nothing is touching it at the end of that match if you want to score them. For tasks like the audience delivery, there are no rules about this. For tasks like the Masterpiece, you need to pay attention to the specific wording.
