I am 58. I used to think this was disgusting and horrible. After having my sons and they got old enough to date I started thinking they could bring home a man or a person of a different race to meet me. I realized that they are mine, and I have to accept whoever they choose. I would never not love them. So I decided love is love !! Life is short !! Just be yourself and be happy !! ' Seahorse dad' thats a great way to put it. What amazing and beautiful couples. Love is love, period and its all that matters. I am currently in a age gap relationship. I am a Pan 37 yr old female dating a Bi 57yr old man. So seeing these beautiful couples that may be "different" from what is expected, and seeing them thrive and love and be happy together definitely gives me even more hope.

Everyone wants to be accepted everyone wants to be loved everyone wants to be liked. However you must keep in mind as you struggled to finally get to your transition. It's going to take people around you that amount of time or even longer to understand and accept who you truly are. So although often times non-support from loved ones is disappointing and heartbreaking you must exercise patience and understanding because they too are transitioning. Finally what's most important is self-love and self-acceptance once you achieve that the world is yours
Everyone needs love and should be loved .However you cannot ask people to axcept something they dont believe in .... that is wrong!!!!
This is so important. I’ve struggled with this with a family member who I support 100%! I just knew them for decades a certain way so it’s taking months for me not to use the wrong name or pronoun, not bc I don’t care but bc it’s a process. They get so upset even with their own parents, who actually named them and are supportive but grieving the change as well. We’ll get there it’s just taking time

I believe anything that fosters increased empathy for all is a good thing. It’s that simple. Check your biases and focus on being the best version of yourself before passing judgement on the external. Do no harm. Do good. Respect autonomy and strive for justice. I really enjoyed these features.

In reference to the first couple.... Yeah. the family was confused, and had to learn.. but at no point did yall say that they didn't love you or the baby. THAT to me is progress. I'm a little confused by the claims that Nuvè's family don't/didn't accept the relationship? It seems like they're mostly upset by a lack of enthusiasm in the family's acceptance? Because they did not cite any issues that caused tension or specific obstacles they've faced due to the family, which I find very confusing considering how this part of their story is framed as a very serious conflict that they overcame in their relationship.. From how it was described it seemed that the family were, if anything, maybe taken aback by the complexity or newness of the situation, but were also open to whatever makes Nuvè happy.. There was no hostility or rejection described, just quiet acceptance and a mild air of awkwardness (which exists in every new relationship when you meet the family)... There has to either be much more to the story; that, or they were chosen to participate because they have an interesting/fashionable aesthetic and producers edited a minor part of their interview to be the main focus of the segment for dramatic effect (which given the other stories being so heavily focused on social conflicts, and the obstacles that trans couples face due to prejudice or ignorance, I'm inclined to believe this is a valid possibility).

You're referencing @2:14 and at no point does Nuve say that Mathew was rejected by his family, nor does he say anything like what you claimed. Zero hostility or conflict is described at any point. In fact he says very explicitly his family accepted the relationship despite not understanding.

I fing it quite hypocritical how the first couple call people uneducated yet the didn't provide any answears to those questions. I understand it's their business and they might not want to feel comfortable to share but then why go on internet to show all of this, provide no answers and then be offended and call people uneducated?

I imagine you're not the first nor are you the last to ask questions and demand an explanation. If you look at it from their perspective, having to jusitfy their entire existance as human beings can get pretty exhausting, especially when you consider that grown adults that have the ability to think and educate themselves are demanding for them to go out of their way and educate them and everyone like them individually. They shared their experience, but why educate you? It's not necessary, and frankly it inconvienences them. In short, you're not entitled to anything. What you are entitled to, is a brain. However you use it is your decision. If you're so adament on being educated, I'd start with a google search instead of harassing people and demanding they tell you their life story and explain everything about their body. Just a thought.

My 12 yr old stepdaughter just came out as trans. Now my step son is so happy. Some family isn’t supporting him. I am angry and we feel very alone
Your family who doesn't support your stepdaughter probably feels angry too, because she is so young. I don't know your situation, but people who do not support youth transitions are often not hateful or bigoted, but just people who really care about children and are aware that many kids from broken families or who are victims of abuse are transitioning at faster rates than ever before and at younger ages than ever before. However, the correlation is usually swept under the rug and the media and politicians, Hollywood, etc do not want anyone to question that correlation. They just want everyone to ignore it, allow children to continue diagnosing themselves. Gender dysphoria is the only medical condition where the patient tells the doctor what is wrong with them, what they need, and how much to prescribe. Doctors use their judgement and expertise on literally every other condition, but with gender dysphoria in present day U.S., it is 100% patient controlled treatment, doctors just nod and said ok and write the prescription for whatever you ask or remove whatever body part you like. It's absurd.

The first story indicated that she went through the transition of becoming a trans....Then wanted to have a baby...Which she was designed to do in the beginning....The baby has brought so much joy and blessings to them....
He is a transgender man. He still has a uterus. Not all women can have kids or even have a uterus, so no the body wasn’t “designed” any type of way. There’s too much variation in human biology for us to have been “designed” 😂 how are babies born without buttholes or born with two different sets of genitals if we’re “designed”? How are some women born with a double uterus that can’t carry a fetus to term?!
Human biology isn’t simple. And gender roles and identity are not biological but socially constructed. Feel free to learn stuff. It helps.

Honestly my views of this are not politically correct. But I do wish them the best. Ok so I loved this. What a different story. I totally understand the mixture when it comes to comments, but I love how they have handled this and have done so with such grace, sharing there very personal intimate beautiful family and the story of the dynamic with the world knowing that it is unfortunately still looked at with those questions, and handling it with no anger or hate with others, who question this family journey, coming out with such a strong love for any and all with a true genuine want to educate, raise awareness, and spread a positive message, I loved this! Edit: also some of u guys don't even give ur loved ones time to adjust. Just as u took a long time to transition they're "transitioning" too, but in a different way. They are losing "you" in a way cuz the person they saw u as in their head is going to be different than what you're now going to be displaying to the world. That takes time. I've heard ppl complain abt being called by their dead name and they somehow believe its alwayyyyyyys on purpose. 🙄 Get over yourselves. Ppl make mistakes.Not everything is abt u, not everyone is out to get u and not everyone cares.
