The pain is real. 2 mins loading, "can't connect" then 2 more mins to load out to orbiter. Or finish a mission and someone has force started another mission, and load in with the mission summary screen up and you have to restart.

As a +1 to volt, he is extremely versatile and can run through pretty much everything in warframe solo. Defending? Breach surge subsume. Profit taker? Use shields and eclipse/roar. Exterminate? Pillage and nuke. Probably my 1st go to for anything solo.

Noob myself, I learned the mechanics by taking them on solo with Octavia, takes a while but you get a good grasp of what's going on and what you need to do.
Im a returning player since 2018 and watching this video was quite informative. Like now I know I can change warframe's abilities & better farming locations. Thank you!
Honestly once you get like tue 5 “main mods” that seem to always pop up in every war frame build/weapons it should be enough to carry you through star chart. And by that point, you should have plenty of other mods/resources and you get access to arbitrations which gives you access to the big boy mods for your weapons. You can also get rolling guard so your survivability goes through tue roof. And I’m always carrying randos through arbis. Only thing I recommend is always having a resource booster active.
It's wild you brought up khora then revenant and started getting into index talk. I actually use Khora herself for index. Companions don't spawn in, but venari does, and they CAN use Fetch while in the arena, and they do fetch the coins. You can just FLY and kill everything without having too look for the coins because Venari grabs em. You can go so so fast.
This is a fantastic list! Honorable mentions: (Vauban) My go-to for interception and also game-breaking in defense, mobile defense, and excavation. (Gauss) Great for everything and has near-infinite build variety. (Mag) More difficult than some options survivabilty-wise but has literally too much damage for most content. (Titania) For when you just want to complete the mission in 40 seconds. (Zephyr) Crazy damage, staggering CC, and easy survivability unless you forget to refresh your abilities.
Honestly for a new player starting out I went for Valkyr as a good solo frame. Biggest issue if you don't have a clan (or a clan that's not active much, rip) is enduring missions without losing to much health and or dying. Valkyr solved that issue for me. Her negating damage while also life stealing as she kills in Hysteria mode gave me a safety net when going up against the multitudes. Adding hunter's adrenaline to her just made it that much easier.
She is quite expensive to invest in. She has serious energy economy issues as well. I’m glad it worked for you, but I definitely would not recommend it to another new player.

I only got Revenant recently, and, wow. This is basically old Wukong, except this dude can protect a whole team if you pay some amount of attention. Then there's his reave... I think completely broken shit like this is actually GOOD for Warframe, it's a ridiculous game, and that is glorious. I have many kinds of setups and appreciate them all in their own way, I'm glad to add this guy to my roster. My sister is getting into the game and we farmed him together, he's especially useful cause she doesn't have her shield-gating/rolling guard etc. to sustain herself as well, survivals get too messy without some solution like this.
Where's Zephyr? She can make herself immune to bullets, has really good crowd control, and can hover, giving herself +150% critical chance. She's insane and can handle levels of combat I never got to experience before trying her out.
I played WF i think for about 2-3 yrs but not playing everyday but I love playing it. I can’t understand most of mechanics so my goal whenever i do solo missions is to have life steal and infinite supply of energy and ammo. Of course, the damage should be high too. So my main WF is Protea and replace her 4th with gloom. Since i have infinite ammo too, i can deploy my heavy weapon also. Just sharing it for othere average players here like me. Thanks!
I love revant, but personally I'd say the rhino is the most versatile if u put the right mods on, it ain't the most glamorous, or the most op, but it's reliable in most games, aside from spy missions unless u have the shade companion. But I believe most frames have there uses, people have different playstyles and different frames may resonate with different people, but for me, I hold a special lil place for the rhino. He ain't the best, but he's reliable. Also cuz he looks kinda like a titan from the destiny franchise.
Lol I stopped playin warframe for a while when railjack came out , and put all my time in destiny lol, just returned to warframe recently and man is it so much to farm and catch up on
I'll throw out that Zephyr is a surprisingly good solo frame. Good CC, good damage boost, basically immune to ranged attacks with her 3, and a passive crit boost just for being airborne. Shes carrying me through Steel Path content.
Man I just started this game worked through unlocking all nodes first, there is a shit ton to wrap the head around, and watching guides is like adding more homework lol. For a free to play this has become my main game little over 200 hours in 2 weeks.

I have to say watching how cleanly you did that eidolon fight with the instant shot/archwing dash/quick hacks and the instant swap from operator to killing the limbs was super satisfying to watch. Very cool.
Octavia is objectively the best frame in the game, she can do everything and she does everything better than the frames that were specifically designed for certain content, I'm surprised she's not on here.

She can stealth better than Ivara, survive on a similar level to Revenant, do more damage than Saryn, Mesa, Excal, Baruuk, etc. buff the team on a level comparable to Wisp, defend objectives better than literally anyone else in the game due to her cc and aoe damage. She's objectively the best frame in the game.

Firstly, you could easily delete all your frames and just play her, it'd be extremely boring after a while, but you can most certainly do it. As to the latter "argument", people like different things and having multiple Octavias in the squad actually has reverse synergy and the buffs don't stack, so what'd be the point? Nothing you've said invalidates any of my points. She has the best personal damage ceiling in the game, she has the best stealth in the game, she has some of the best survivability thanks to that stealth, she defends objectives better than anyone else and she buffs the whole squad with an AoE damage buff which is stronger than Eclipse (which is just for the equipping frame), speed buff, multishot buff and invisibility buff. I at no point said that everyone should only ever play her, I'm a Volt main for crying out loud, what I did say is that she's objectively the best frame in the game. She can easily clear all content with literal braindead levels of skill and a majority of the time, she's better than any alternatives even if those alternatives were specifically designed for that content. Octavia's only problem is that she makes the game way too easy, hence why a lot of people consider her similar to Revenant, strong but boring owing to how strong she is. Personally, I do play Octavia from time to time, why? Because I find her gameplay enjoyable. Anyone playing for meta value is playing Warframe wrong, all frames can do level cap (even Yareli). But from a meta value perspective Octavia outpaces literally everyone else for solo play especially.
I totally lucked into Volt when I started the game, I just thought he sounded fun and I usually play wizards which his description sounded like. He turned out to be my primary character even up to today.

I'd argue that Banshee (as in pure non helminth Banshee) became quite harder to solo with since the eximus update, her silence is less reliable when it comes to CC now and she is extremely squishy, she's got the damage yes but staying alive is an issue, unless you're shield gating of course but since every frame can do that I'm not sure it should count as a criteria for "solo viability'
Nekros is still equal to Khora imo, he has the augment to stay alive thanks to his shadows and Nekros' desecrate works differently to other farming tools other frames have. Whereas Khora's augment boosts the droprate of the first "drop" the enemy does, Nekros makes that same enemy drop loot again meaning that you have 2 chances of loot from the same body and even more if you cut the body in half with a slash weapon. This is why they're best used together.
what you didnt understand is that Nekros takes too much time to reroll the loot per corpse. Khora gives you the loost upon kill, so if you can make 100-150 kills per minute (which is not hard) Khora is more efficient than Nekros.
Nyx is a great solo frame imo. Does pretty much everything well except spy and super specific things like Eidolons. And you can get her really early too
Nekros dosnt need a dome. He is just invincible, for a new player id argue he is way better, your build for khora is okay yeah but your running multiple primed and .02 drop chance mods. Most new players get one cast on Khora per full energy bar. And if you use that energy bar on 2 enemies in a corner your not refilling it. Nekros he just kinda hangs out,
@pyrosophy680 it's dead serious. He shrugged off the energy problem on Khora intentionally. Play Khora without a potato, no prime mods, and no mod with less then a 1% drop chance. You get to use the bubble once and your out none for any other ability. This isn't a problem for mid or late game players. But some 300 hour Andy isn't gonna have the mods arcanes or focus to cover for that. Most mission types your sprinting through so your not setting up bubble each corridor with 3 mobs in it. Because even in a perfect world were all three drop energy orbs 75 isn't enough to use the abilities you need to make them drop loot. This can be got around by making sure you chop the bodies up and you could possibly get 150 energy and thats enough. But nekros just walks through, no stopping no setup. Gets the loot keeps going. Nekros might not get every drop of juice outta that lemon but he is squeezing them about 10 times faster and at no effort. Khora likes a group setting. If your running khora without a Nova at the minimum your wasting your time. Realistically you want a Nova, Zephyr and a helminth ability or two. It's a basic math problem it's not even a honest question. And Khora ain't winning it.
Getting two Banshees early on to level weapons and frames was the biggest step up for my "early game". It is just great to get a new Frame/Weapon formaed a few times and ready to test within 30 minutes or so.
Came looking for this comment. Unparalleled dmg and survivability. You want CC? just kill everything in front of you with a single punch from Desert Wind. Add eclipse for more dmg. Steel path eximus and Thrax are a joke
I’m a veteran player and I enjoy content like this because it gives me new perspectives on frames I’ve neglected over the years. My Khora is currently collecting dust but that may change soon
For Khora stat stick I use a Kesheg with Melee Damage, Slash, Combo Counter and minus Impact. The negative is the best one you can get, together with -puncture. Only wish I had cd too on it instead of more combo, but could be worse since it helps to go fast to 12x at beginning. The slash stat with the negative saves up two normal slash mod slots so you can put glad might for more combo and critical chance, and sacrificial steel. You can even use the two sacrificial mods instead of ss and pop to trade some dmg for more cc.
I normally only use Silence every once in a while but not Banshee, that she could be considered a good solo frame didn't even cross my mind. I think I'm gonna dust the little lady off and see how she goes nowadays, thanks for the inspiration for us solo players. :)
I find it fitting, Octavia is not on the list. After all, she is great if you play two profiles at the same time xD (My clan leader actually plays three 🤣)
hey knightmare, in this video around 13:12 when youre eidolon hunting, your game looks clear as day. every time i go into plains its always obnoxiously dark and a nightmare to see vom spawns, especially when its raining. do you have a video on your warframe graphic settings?
He has a specific setting so his Eclipse always gives him the damage buff and not the armor. Note that it affects the whole game not only the plains of eidolon.
The only frames i use are khora-for most things,volt-for fishing and eidolons,ivara-spy/simaris standing,nekros-tusk thumpers and silver grove and titania void flood or cheesing parkour,u can literally clear any content with those 5
On revenant. I have Aero vantage in the exilus slot as well as Mobilize instead of the extra strength for a combined massive parkour speed increase and aim glide duration. Makes rev feel like wukong
Banshee's sonar is also a ridiculous Damage multiplier 10x at 200% strength. Making her scale in sp pretty well if you are OK with being a little squishy :p
You missed Nidus, AKA literally the best solo frame in the entire game. Never dies, massive damage, CC, and immune to status and cc when using 3rd ability.
Everyone sleeps on baruuk!! He is hands down the best dps / dr frame ever. He can solo steel path defence to wht ever lvl you want. In his 4 he has 95+% dr and with high enemy spawn rate u don't lose his 4.
You can definitely say that those warframes are good options for solo mode. But clearly they are not the best. I would say a warframe is good for playing solo when it has enough flexibility, sustain, and strength to do almost every kind of high rank mission (80-100++). Saying Banshee is the top 1 just because you can level up fast your weapons when you can just go hidron with a lot of alternatives like, saryn (3) nova (4) mirage (1) Wisp (dont remember his plants ab. number) Gauss (4), etc. Just my opinion, nice video anyways
I'll get a maxed arcane energize when I can farm it. Im not paying 2k+ plat for a arcane. Prices on rivens are dumb af too. Im not paying more for a mod than some frames. People wanting 200p for trash rivens is insane.
Revenant. Subsume Pillage over his 4, build for full pillage armor strip. Make sure to equip Rolling Guard for safety when recasting Mesmer Skin, Be immortal, profit. Congratulations, Warframe is now a point and click game. P.S. I know most people go for Roar, but past a certain level, you'll eventually get screwed by enemy armor killing most of your damage, so I use max strip Pillage instead. Arcanes I use are Molt Augmented and Molt Efficiency (for some added duration).
Tbh I have found that you don't need rolling guard since you are constantly getting shields with pillage so you can shield gate the vulnerability during casting
Agreed on pillage (or your choice of armor strip). I haven't used Rolling Guard in Revenant for a long time. Just glance at mesmer charges every once in a while and refresh every 1-2 minutes as needed. Honestly, you should notice when your shields start getting hit, and you should notice when your shields break, and even if you wait for shields to actually break you still have time to recast mesmer. If you don't have the situational awareness for any of that, rolling guard is not likely to save you, and Grendel might be a better option.
My top 3 is Octavia Gauss and Saryn Plus maybe sevagoth for gloom subsume. I cleared steel path with my Octavia prime build and had a lych with zarr and wisp spectre or Octavia spectres to summon Had a gloom build for her for demolists in those key missions.. but interception and zeloid prelate were the hardest to solo but my summons and exzodia zaw riven help
I would've found the list more useful if the list wasn't only prime frames I'm still kinda new to the game and I don't have the necessary items to farm or build prime frames

I'd argue that Banshee (as in pure non helminth Banshee) became quite harder to solo with since the eximus update, her silence is less reliable when it comes to CC now and she is extremely squishy, she's got the damage yes but staying alive is an issue, unless you're shield gating of course but since every frame can do that I'm not sure it should count as a criteria for "solo viability'

Nekros is still equal to Khora imo, he has the augment to stay alive thanks to his shadows and Nekros' desecrate works differently to other farming tools other frames have. Whereas Khora's augment boosts the droprate of the first "drop" the enemy does, Nekros makes that same enemy drop loot again meaning that you have 2 chances of loot from the same body and even more if you cut the body in half with a slash weapon. This is why they're best used together.
what you didnt understand is that Nekros takes too much time to reroll the loot per corpse. Khora gives you the loost upon kill, so if you can make 100-150 kills per minute (which is not hard) Khora is more efficient than Nekros.

Nyx is a great solo frame imo. Does pretty much everything well except spy and super specific things like Eidolons. And you can get her really early too
Spy is easy with any frame tbf, so the only thing she really can't do is Eidolons
Nekros dosnt need a dome. He is just invincible, for a new player id argue he is way better, your build for khora is okay yeah but your running multiple primed and .02 drop chance mods. Most new players get one cast on Khora per full energy bar. And if you use that energy bar on 2 enemies in a corner your not refilling it. Nekros he just kinda hangs out,

@pyrosophy680 it's dead serious. He shrugged off the energy problem on Khora intentionally. Play Khora without a potato, no prime mods, and no mod with less then a 1% drop chance. You get to use the bubble once and your out none for any other ability. This isn't a problem for mid or late game players. But some 300 hour Andy isn't gonna have the mods arcanes or focus to cover for that. Most mission types your sprinting through so your not setting up bubble each corridor with 3 mobs in it. Because even in a perfect world were all three drop energy orbs 75 isn't enough to use the abilities you need to make them drop loot. This can be got around by making sure you chop the bodies up and you could possibly get 150 energy and thats enough. But nekros just walks through, no stopping no setup. Gets the loot keeps going. Nekros might not get every drop of juice outta that lemon but he is squeezing them about 10 times faster and at no effort. Khora likes a group setting. If your running khora without a Nova at the minimum your wasting your time. Realistically you want a Nova, Zephyr and a helminth ability or two. It's a basic math problem it's not even a honest question. And Khora ain't winning it.

Getting two Banshees early on to level weapons and frames was the biggest step up for my "early game". It is just great to get a new Frame/Weapon formaed a few times and ready to test within 30 minutes or so.
Limbo is good if you can wrap your head around the two planes of reality.

I’m a veteran player and I enjoy content like this because it gives me new perspectives on frames I’ve neglected over the years. My Khora is currently collecting dust but that may change soon
For Khora stat stick I use a Kesheg with Melee Damage, Slash, Combo Counter and minus Impact. The negative is the best one you can get, together with -puncture. Only wish I had cd too on it instead of more combo, but could be worse since it helps to go fast to 12x at beginning. The slash stat with the negative saves up two normal slash mod slots so you can put glad might for more combo and critical chance, and sacrificial steel. You can even use the two sacrificial mods instead of ss and pop to trade some dmg for more cc.

I normally only use Silence every once in a while but not Banshee, that she could be considered a good solo frame didn't even cross my mind.

hey knightmare, in this video around 13:12 when youre eidolon hunting, your game looks clear as day. every time i go into plains its always obnoxiously dark and a nightmare to see vom spawns, especially when its raining.
do you have a video on your warframe graphic settings?
He has a specific setting so his Eclipse always gives him the damage buff and not the armor. Note that it affects the whole game not only the plains of eidolon.

The only frames i use are khora-for most things,volt-for fishing and eidolons,ivara-spy/simaris standing,nekros-tusk thumpers and silver grove and titania void flood or cheesing parkour,u can literally clear any content with those 5

I often stay away from wisps to avoid shooting speed buff(that buff breaks my weapon balances so with it I shoot way less effective).

Banshee's sonar is also a ridiculous Damage multiplier 10x at 200% strength. Making her scale in sp pretty well if you are OK with being a little squishy :p

You missed Nidus, AKA literally the best solo frame in the entire game. Never dies, massive damage, CC, and immune to status and cc when using 3rd ability.
Everyone sleeps on baruuk!! He is hands down the best dps / dr frame ever. He can solo steel path defence to wht ever lvl you want. In his 4 he has 95+% dr and with high enemy spawn rate u don't lose his 4.

You can definitely say that those warframes are good options for solo mode. But clearly they are not the best. I would say a warframe is good for playing solo when it has enough flexibility, sustain, and strength to do almost every kind of high rank mission (80-100++). Saying Banshee is the top 1 just because you can level up fast your weapons when you can just go hidron with a lot of alternatives like, saryn (3) nova (4) mirage (1) Wisp (dont remember his plants ab. number) Gauss (4), etc.

Revenant. Subsume Pillage over his 4, build for full pillage armor strip. Make sure to equip Rolling Guard for safety when recasting Mesmer Skin, Be immortal, profit.

P.S. I know most people go for Roar, but past a certain level, you'll eventually get screwed by enemy armor killing most of your damage, so I use max strip Pillage instead. Arcanes I use are Molt Augmented and Molt Efficiency (for some added duration).
Tbh I have found that you don't need rolling guard since you are constantly getting shields with pillage so you can shield gate the vulnerability during casting
Agreed on pillage (or your choice of armor strip).
I haven't used Rolling Guard in Revenant for a long time. Just glance at mesmer charges every once in a while and refresh every 1-2 minutes as needed. Honestly, you should notice when your shields start getting hit, and you should notice when your shields break, and even if you wait for shields to actually break you still have time to recast mesmer. If you don't have the situational awareness for any of that, rolling guard is not likely to save you, and Grendel might be a better option.

I cleared steel path with my Octavia prime build and had a lych with zarr and wisp spectre or Octavia spectres to summon
Had a gloom build for her for demolists in those key missions.. but interception and zeloid prelate were the hardest to solo but my summons and exzodia zaw riven help

I purchased Prime Hydroid and I love his offensive capabilities. I have lvl up other Warframes but I always return to Hydroid.
I would've found the list more useful if the list wasn't only prime frames I'm still kinda new to the game and I don't have the necessary items to farm or build prime frames
