Help me choose the next passage. In a weeks time I will be in a position to choose either recreating Wave Rover 1 voyage to Azores/Canaries/Caribbean or Sail down the East Coast then onto the Caribbean. Let me know what you think.

Wow already!? Just to pick a route or to go? My vote is for recreating the Wave Rover 1 voyage. It’d be interesting to see how Wave Rover 2 compares on the same route. Safe travels!

Probably you continue where you had to stop because of Corona. Caribbean and then heading west.

Love this boat. No chainplates. No winches. No thru hulls. No inaccessible engine. One sail that seems to be self flaking. Cannot beat simplicity

Watching you from about @15.00 onwards, standing on your deck, your whole face a un-removable grin, as your boat settled into being alive, was such a joy to behold! Well done, Mr Mulholland. You've earned that grin, and all the uncontained happiness behind it.

Let me quote myself from back when you announced your intention to build her: "Can't go wrong with a junk rig!"
Thank you for the privilege and pleasure of us getting to spectate this journey. Looking forward for the next stage of the adventure!
Frankly speaking I don't know anything about sailing other than what I've read or have been shown just like this, but this brought back to me something that I seem to recall _Practical junk rig_ having said about adjustments to euphroes (potentially automatic, sometimes helped along) in different conditions of wind and rig. Please feel free to show in howevermuch detail you wish to show how it all performs, as you discover the nature of your setup. Fair winds and following seas!

WAHOO! What an incredible delight to see Wave Rover under sail! Absolutely gorgeous and such an exciting sail and rigging plan. Time will give you insights into what she needs for efficient operation, but your decisions about cabin and deck layout are truly inspired. That little Sail Pro motor was such a good decision. Looks like about 1/3 throttle moves her at hull speed and that thing just sips gas. The simplicity and sea worthiness of your rig reminds me of Joshua Slocum's Spray. Here's to you making history, Alan!

Once you get her fully loaded I’m looking forward to see her in action. My concern Alan is tackling the high seas in a flat bottom boat with no cockpit. The junk rig will add additional safety so you won’t have to go forward to tend to headsails but I’d be wearing your safety harness at all times. I’d hate to see you get tossed around. But when the seas get rough you can go below. The best of luck to you Alan, and for God’s sake be careful!

Dear Alan, congratulations on your beautiful sailboat 'Wave Rover II'. You can be very proud of it! I have great admiration for your knowledge and skills of building and sailing.
It will take some getting used to not hearing anymore: Time to Crack-on, but from now on it will be: Time to Sail-on! Bon voyage Wave Rover II !!
A safe journey and God's nearness on your travels! Greetings from Anton from the Netherlands

Azores, Canaries,Caribbean. That way you should encounter every sea condition out there and you can let those of us that are seriously considering building a wave rover how she behaves.
Oh and don't forget to stow the bear in a safe spot! The both of you are about to start A great adventure.
    Just saying.

I will faithfully review her performance. I want to see a fleet of these good looking vessels but only if they sail well.

She handles a dream, you did an excellent job. I do notice that on all modern junk rigged vessels the mast is upright, but on traditional junks the fore mast leans forward, either way they are a brilliant rig.
