    I just wish that black women would assess black men on Eurocentric standards of masculinity (do you own land, can you provide, do you have a job, can you protect etc) with the same gusto these black men hold black women to Eurocentric beauty standards.

    As a Latina myself. The Latina woman that’s speaking up on tik tok said no lies! Ive been saying it for the longest. I don’t want a black man talking to me after he goes on a tirade insulting black women. Then tells me I’m better as some sort of weird compliment. It’s not flattering it’s embarrassing for him and for myself. How can I assume that he will treat me with respect when he doesn’t treat women of his own kind with respect. *Some* Latinas need to wake up!!!

      I always find it a red flag when they haven’t dated Black women (it’s different if they grew up in a area where that wasn’t possible, but that’s not the case majority of the time). By definition a “preference” indicates you PREFER one thing, but are still open to the others. They use the word preference when they mean total exclusion. It’s projection of their own self hate, why would I want to mess with a guy that doesn’t even love himself and the women that built him?

    • @DH-uw3us
      @DH-uw3us 3 ปีที่แล้ว +94

    When i was in college, i was attracted to a guy in my class who was very dark skinned. There was another girl in the class who was biracial and super light skinned with long 2a hair and green eyes. For some reason, i just KNEW he would holla at her over me so i didnt even bother shooting my shot.
    Lo and behold, he didnt even look at her twice, and he came and talked to me ( same complexion as him). I was SHOCKED!! I was so conditioned to NOT be chosen when a light skin girl was present, it became second nature to me. I was so shocked, that i brought it up to him (i regret doing that now) and he told me, "you're the prettiest girl in this class, who else would i talk to".....anyway, we dated, it didnt work out but i will always remember him for this. Mixed women aren't always against us or downing us and we need to remember that!!! Sometime mixed women are on side of the fence when it comes to black men's misogynoir and fetishisation but we can't see past our envy and insecurity to join with them.
    Sisterhood begins from childhood. When we still act like boys have cooties or whatever. But we lose that sisterhood a lot of the time because black girls are taught to be self-loathing and get jealous of their 'prettier' friends. Not caping just facts.
    Well never be on the exact same page but we can collaborate so let's teach our girls better!!

The girl would look like the bottom of a foot but if she was mixed/light skinned she was fine. Case closed. My grandma is mixed which is why I’m guessing my siblings and I have lighter skin but my mom is a dark skinned blk women. Men would literally approach me saying “I love your skin tone are u mixed? We don’t like it. I’ve had 3 serious relationships w BM or BR men and they always have foul stuff to say about BW. Ive always called the men out. I always felt confused bc 2 out of the men came from a BW. Currently, not dating but no longer here for being a man’s preference. If you like me for me, ok. But if you can’t LOVE, UPLIFT, PROTECT black women then you most certainly won’t protect me.

    Attacking black women isn’t politically correct.. We need to make that distinction ASAP.

      Apparently it is, otherwise the black community would be structured the way it is.
      We literally have non-black women (ie biracial, yt/Asian women) uplifted at higher status than actual black women

    I’m a 28 year old woman from Cali, unlike Saweetie I’m from Southern CA, however like her I’m of African American and Filipino descent among other things but I’ve always considered myself Black or African American. I’m just now starting to realize at this grown/old ass age the self hatred of my black male friends and family. I’m more pro black than all of them yet they ‘other’ me and always point out my lighter skin, eye shape, or how I choose to color and wear my hair… much like Too Short it’s fetishy. When I call them out for being colorist or not liking black women, they deny it and point out that they do date black women just a specific type which is their preference. Which are usually Afro latinas or East African women with Horn of Africa features of lighter brown complexions. Sometimes they even start bashing white women unprovoked (not including “spicy whites” mind you) as if that’ll get them brownie points with me. I’ve shown my uncles, and my homeboys content like this proving my point and they tell me I’m being brainwashed and gaslight. I honestly feel so stupid and late. It’s not cool.

    That’s something I always liked about Saweetie because I remember in another interview she said she doesn’t like when people tear other women down to uplift her. She’s aware of the way bm think and she doesn’t agree with it even tho it benefits her. Saweetie doesn’t give me that “insecure easy” vibe and a lot of women can learn from here in that aspect.

    This is so cringe and embarrassing. For BOTH of them.The self hate is real. Black women pull a Saweetie meme and “let’s go”. Damn you know it’s bad when these mixed and non black women are calling it out because they see the bs of it too.
