I'm late to the game, thanks for posting your video. I've learned something very important from the installation concerning the updated plastic ECU that Polaris sent you. I also was sent one for my 2021 Sportsman 570. I didn't notice the difference between the one that was in place vs. the that was sent to me. When I noticed that I had the original one in place, I just assumed that everything was good to go. I have the replacement that was sent to me and will swap it out asap. Once again, thank you- good catch on your part! Merry Christmas 2023 and God bless you and your precious family in 2024 from Western Canada! Cheers! Lamplighter on the side!

It’s feedback like this that really brings joy to my heart. I’m glad it helped you out. May God Bless you and your family my friend and have a very Merry Christmas! Again, thanks for the wonderful feedback and enjoy that awesome machine. You actually just reminded me that I need to get my plow on, Im guessing you have already been plowing snow in Canada this year. Thanks for watching!

Great video…helped me quite a bit on my 2016 sportsman 450 that I got recently. For the front diff there was no way to access the fill plug without moving the Polaris 2500# winch (wtf, Polaris)…had to remove the 4 mounting bolts and used a strap to hold it up out of the way. As you mentioned, the torque specs for the fill and the drain plugs are quite low (10-14 ftlbs range), and hadn’t been used on mine. A dealer had done the last service and prob torqued both to 50-60 ftlbs. Almost completely stripped the drain bolt getting it out, which is not surprising since the metal is so soft. My advice is trust and use the low torque specs to prevent a potential nightmare of have to go at it on these soft bolts with an easy-out.

Yikes! Gotta love it when dealers are worse than us DIYers. Glad you got the bolt out. Enjoy the ATV! I’ve been loving mine. Thanks for watching!

Can anyone tell me if there is a rear diff fluid change? I only see the front on the 450 rear on the 570

There is nothing in my book about it. I’ll have to look further into it. Thanks for watching!

Does the dipstick screw on/off. Or is it pressed in?

It screws in but it’s a bit of a pain so I would recommend long pliers to get it loose each time.

I got a 2023 450 H.O and the dealer is telling me its only the engine oil that gets changed for the 25 hour service. Could u provide sources stating otherwise?
I was gonna bring it in cuz i dont have the time to do what u just did, however if it is just the engine oil and filter thats simple enough

Hey sorry for the late reply. My manual says at 25 hrs you are supposed to do the break in fluid change on the front gearcase. Wish I could attach picture here but I can’t. Thanks for watching!

Never heard anyone praise engineers or call them smart. Kinda feels blasphemous
