I didn’t like the way the NeoCats celebrated Mass. it felt like I was in a different religion. Also the way we were pressured to give money was not nice. I pray for discernment about joining them, and there’s something that felt off for me.
The way they celebrate mass is approved by the Catholic Church It is the same liturgy. The only differences are that brothers are encouraged to share how the scriptures help them and also the songs are different

@@benaim7925 Yeah. But you'll find regular Sunday masses also use Guitars too. Walk into any church actually and you're bound to find a guitar. In the sacristy? Not sure about that one, sometimes the parishioners like to designate certain groups to different areas to celebrate their masses

The fact that there are problems in the world does not give the way the right to lie , deceive and brainwash people and manipulate them to do the bidding of the neo way. And no you do not have to pray for me, rather pray for yourself. And if God really loves me then you should stop saying to your members that God will lift his hand up from them if they act upon their own free will.
I do not know your situation, nor why you are against the Neocatechumenal way. Yes, God really loves you. He doesn't control the people he lets us free to do what we want. But if we go into sin many of us fall into this deep hole waiting for someone to save us. God doesn't want us to go into sin because we suffer and that extremely hurts him. So that is where God saves us from this sin and in the Christian and Catholic faith including the Neocatechumenal way he is able to reveal to us how to avoid this sin. I haven't been through these steps in a neo way but I have heard many experiences of people on how Christ has helped them in their lives. Which is quite reassuring. I don't believe we are brainwashed because we are free to leave at any time and we don't have to listen to the word of God. But I know through my experiences and other experiences that it is good that the Neocatechumenal Way was formed. For example, many doctors said that they should abort me and my sister but the way said NO. So I'm might not be here today. I don't think you really care but it's a blessing for me and my sister to be alive. I'm sorry if you ever had a bad experience with the way. But I would be nice to understand why you feel like this way. Peace be with you.

But the reason many stay is because they are told they will lose "the grace of god" or that " God will lift their hand from them if they leave The Way". These are basically threats. The issue with the way is not whether it does good to people, the issue is that it demonizes the outside world to such an extent that you think there are no options but to stay in The Way even though for many people the Way has given them nothing... Have you ever heard in your community that someone was "deceived by the devil" and could you please explain why would God allow such a thing? Peace be with you to.
Actully I have never heard this. "deceived by the devil." But I stay in this community because I see jesus work in my life.. And possibly many people have bad experiences as the people in the community are still human but what we go there for is to learn what it is to be a Christian Peace
