I don't think Paul messed up that bad considering he made a clutch jumper with 50 seconds left in the game and the refs screwed him on either one or two calls.
Niggas forget that the ref who called this was the same ref who gave KD the first ejection, and gave Perkins a Technical in a game one time.. He couldn't have "rigged" the game.
As NBA fans its sad to see that the referees and the NBA organization fail to understand that we are the people who pays their pay checks and sponsors. If coaches and players can be fined for the mistakes they make then why can't the refs and the organization be fined as well. We understand that refs are human, and mistakes can be made, but we don't understand why a call can't be corrected if there is a replay! [Looks one sided]
One of the greatest games I've ever attended and I've seen a LOT of great ones being an Oklahoma State fan including another Durant game... OSU vs Texas in 2007, triple OT. OSU won 105-103, it was Durant (38 points) vs Mario Boggan (37 point & 20 rebounds).
Doc wasn’t wrong, Reggie touched it last but there was a foul there. In my opinion the officials did the right thing. It was a minor foul so probably shouldn’t let that decide the game so let’s just give it to the thunder.
I can’t get over that last shot by Russ. If CP3 didn’t foul him, he would’ve sold that game for OKC and we know damn well the ball should’ve been in KD’s hands
This was bad officiating but it wasn't "rigged". Why the hell would the NBA want a tiny market team to defeat a big market one from LOS ANGELES? It was the refs not having a good angle on some plays and giving the benefit of the doubt to the home team. Studies have shown its human nature for the refs to favor home teams in all sports, people subconsciously don't want crowds to hate them.
This was a hell of a game. I remember when I was little I fell asleep at the end and my dad told me my thunder had won the next morning then I came to this video. Still gives me goosebumps
@@dgsjrext282 It is his fault. Look at what he did with the 76ers. A 19, then 26 point lead lost in back to back games. This is consistent with his career.
Rule 8 Section II - c of the NBA rulebook states: If a player has his hand in contact with the ball and an opponent hits the hand causing the ball to go out-of-bounds, the team whose player had his hand on the ball will retain possession. There are two ways this is being interpreted on social media right now. One side of the argument is saying that since Jackson had both hands on the ball, Barnes slapping one of the hands and the ball going out of bounds is within the rule for the Thunder retaining possession of the ball. It doesn't matter which hand is being hit because both were in contact with the ball, regardless of him being in the process of transferring the ball strictly to his right hand. Clippers didn't get robbed. Just a choke job.
oukurt the ball hits Reggie Jackson’s other hand, so you can jam ur rulebook up your ass because it doesn’t apply to that play. The ball hit both of Jackson’s arm, so no, the refs won the game for the thunder.
Lol yeah. What a collapse. Now I’m a Sixer fan. I watch Doc consistently do the same thing against teams we should beat. Can’t get over the awful rotations and zero in game adjustments. Or inability to exploit mismatches 😂.. it’s like yeah Doc the other team figured out what was working for us in first half. What are you gonna do now that you’re in process of blowing a 18-25 pt lead lol
The NBA seriously needs to change the rules and allow better replaying. Because, this was Clippers game and it is just sad to see the refs win it. It is very very sad. It was clearly Clippers ball when Jackson flopped, and Paul clearly did not touch Westbrook. Terrible terrible terrible.
It's been proven over and over again that no team with Chris Paul as its best player can ever be a legitimate title contender, regardless of how much help he has as the number 1 option. And these moments further cement that fact
the only bad call in the clutch of this game was the ball going to OKC after it went out of bounds off of Reggie Jackson. And that wouldn't have been an issue if Paul didn't turn the ball over in the first place he clearly fouled Westbrook on the 3 projectshanks.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/Chris-Paul-Russell-Westbrook-foul.jpg and they're not going to call a little touch on the arm with a playoff game on the line when Paul turned it over on the game-winning attempt. that's a standard no call in that situation Paul was outplayed by Westbrook for the overall series and the clutch moments of Game 5 which eventually decided the series. That is the main reason they lost
+Nobody Touches Jordan Been saying the same thing for years. That's why i've always thought it was an absolute disgrace when early in CP3's career they tried comparing him to Isiah Thomas. I absolutely laughed at that one because Isiah could get his whenever he so chose, Paul can't get his shot off unless he takes 20 seconds off the shot clock running 4 pick and rolls in one possession and the defense just inexplicably leaves him open. I feel like you shouldn't handle the ball as much as he does unless your a constant threat to score the ball, which obviously he's not.
I hate the clippers but the one that killed them was the foul at the three point line. That wasn't a fucking foul, the league is really sensitive about touching the arm of the shooter in these playoffs. But I remember harden getting bumped to the ground, NO CALL. Refs need to be consistent with that shit. That was a horrible shot by Westbrook completely unnecessary down by 2
Each court has its own referees right? SO its different people, maybe thats why it wasnt consistent. Besides, that was just BEAST. And do not say its a horrible shot when you, yourself, cannot do better then THE BEAST.
I hate the refs sometimes as much as the next guy, but give them a break their job is very hard with all of the floppers. There was a call during the Blazers r1 series where Harden took a jump shot, kicked his leg out and fell down making it look like Matthews touched him, but in replay you could see that Matthews jumped to the side to avoid contact all together, but of course refs can't reverse calls and Harden got 2 free shots in a game that went to OT. That's exactly what the refs are afraid of, and every call they make is arguable since every player acts like they got shot after a play.
That foul call on cp3 to give Westbrook three shots was inexcusable and if happened today it would’ve been reviewed... nothing else Paul could’ve done there.
Well, CP3 touched his elbow, which was a foul. And if you're going to complain, when Jamal shot a half court shot but got fouled by KD, look how he got fouled. KD just touched his hand and it was called as a foul. Same with CP3 on Westbrook. Anyways, OKC didn't win the finals, so you should be happy.
1) Barnes clearly fouled Jackson on the play. 2) There is a rule that was mentioned after the game that if a player hits another player"s hands and knocks the ball out of bounds, it goes to the team who possessed the ball before it went out of bounds. 3) The call on the floor was Thunder ball, so the replay would have to be "conclusive" to overturn that. If you think that video is conclusive - I question your ability to be unbiased. 4) Jackson probably fouled CP3 at the end. That's my take.
Your point #2 is false. There might be a rule that says that, but if you watch the NBA, you've seen that replays don't work like that idk why for some reason they never follow that rule. If your hand was the last one to touch it, it's not your ball. In a regular season game it would've been clipper ball.
Watch Clippers Warriors first game final seconds. Foul on paul. Refs didn't call foul. Ball went out of bounds from paul. Ball to Warriors. So they won .
I could be wrong, but to me it looks like Barnes only touched Jackson's left hand causing Jackson to lose some balance, but then it clearly seems to go off Jackson's right hand due to poor ball control from Jackson. Looks like he's switching to his right hand and then suddenly decides to just lose the ball. Should've obviously been a foul called on Barnes though, but when you don't you can't make up for it by giving OKC the out of bounds -_-
That's true, just because you didn't call foul doesn't mean you could make up for it, instead of being 2 free throws with more time on the clock for the clippers it was 3 free throws and 6 seconds left
Hitting the hand is legal because the hand is considered part of the ball. This was taken from the nba site: "The hand is considered “ part of the ball” when it is in contact with the ball and contact with a players hand when it is in contact with the ball is not a foul."
Only two times Paul has choked and this is one of them. The other was when he played the Nuggets and Chancey Billups shut that nigga down. Never seen that shit before LOL
+Miesha THE GOAT Tate well you can't win with a bad team lol plus the Warriors built that team up unlike 2012 Miami where all superstars just sign with one team
Guys I know people are really mad about a lot of the calls, but some of you guys just gotta really look at the calls. Now the out of bounds reggie jackson call was very questionable, and it was not clear at all from any view. But the shooting foul on russell Westbrook WAS a foul. You CANNOT touch a shooters arm when he is in the motion of shooting or releasing. Some of you idiots are going "NO DUDE, HE BARELY TOUCHED HIM". No he clearly disrupted Westbrook's shot. And for the last call not being a foul. Common that kind of contact happens all the time an no foul is ever called
ITS a clear foul on jackson by barns.. the refs just cleared their faults by making it OKC ball pos.. people here were just so stupid commenting here.. becoz they were a hater of OKC.. :p
jacob shapiro No foul is ever called for that type of foul? There's even a name for it called reach-in foul. Normally, in TIGHT situations, refs won't ever call a foul on a 3 even if its a hard one. The contact on westbrook was so minimal or none at all. If that foul on westbrook got called, the foul on cp3 should have been called too especially since it could have saved the game for the clips. This game has been rigged clearly. And i'm not even a clips fan nor a okc hater.

We understand that refs are human, and mistakes can be made, but we don't understand why a call can't be corrected if there is a replay! [Looks one sided]
thats right
Who's here after Chris Paul got traded to the thunder
who’s here from jj redicks pod with KD lol
One of the greatest games I've ever attended and I've seen a LOT of great ones being an Oklahoma State fan including another Durant game... OSU vs Texas in 2007, triple OT. OSU won 105-103, it was Durant (38 points) vs Mario Boggan (37 point & 20 rebounds).
Reggie Jackson opting for free throws instead of dishing to Westbrook or KD for the uncontested dunk is beyond a bonehead play. Incomprehensible.
It’s so nice seeing KD in a OKC Jersey again...
Who's here from JJ's podcast with KD?
Six years later, legend has it that Doc Rivers is still screaming “That’s our ball, that’s our ball.”
Doc wasn’t wrong, Reggie touched it last but there was a foul there. In my opinion the officials did the right thing. It was a minor foul so probably shouldn’t let that decide the game so let’s just give it to the thunder.
Clear foul. Not even a question.
I can’t get over that last shot by Russ. If CP3 didn’t foul him, he would’ve sold that game for OKC and we know damn well the ball should’ve been in KD’s hands
*sigh* a simple pass from reggie to Durant or Westbrook and that's game
A tie game?
@@natediggitydog8 ^
This was bad officiating but it wasn't "rigged". Why the hell would the NBA want a tiny market team to defeat a big market one from LOS ANGELES? It was the refs not having a good angle on some plays and giving the benefit of the doubt to the home team. Studies have shown its human nature for the refs to favor home teams in all sports, people subconsciously don't want crowds to hate them.
+Trent Diamanti they didn't want this team to advance cause of sterling.
+Jesus-is LORD then how come they fukin let them beat the Spurs last year in the playoffs
chris paul mentally fell apart like always in close playoff games....what the hell was he doing
Oh really, like when he hit the series winning shot against the Spurs in 2015? SMH
Smart
This was a hell of a game. I remember when I was little I fell asleep at the end and my dad told me my thunder had won the next morning then I came to this video. Still gives me goosebumps
I'm a Clippers fan, even if we would had won this game I still think we would had lost the series. Remember, we lost in 6 that year.
Christian Johnson then I don’t think that you are a fan
Doc Rivers has a history of his team choking leads. Time for him to go.
He did it again
@@mrsky67 it wasn’t his fault and they didn’t have that large of a series lead
@@dgsjrext282 It is his fault. Look at what he did with the 76ers. A 19, then 26 point lead lost in back to back games. This is consistent with his career.
Had to fact check Chris Broussard this morning on Undisputed. He was correct!!
that's exactly why I'm here lol
haha same
This moment is what I remember the most about Chris Paul. Unbelievable choke job!
KD as a scorer in the clutch was something else. Dude can just get off any shot he wanted.
who is here after the clippers with kawhi and pandemic p blew a 3-1 lead in the second round?
Rivers straight trippin. I wish I could hear his raspy voice going crazy. 😂
Rule 8 Section II - c of the NBA rulebook states:
If a player has his hand in contact with the ball and an opponent hits the hand causing the ball to go out-of-bounds, the team whose player had his hand on the ball will retain possession.
The ball hit both of Jackson’s arm, so no, the refs won the game for the thunder.
oh really so the refs forced the clippers to blow a double digit lead?
@Clutxh Time Did u read at all?
ꌚeidon 海神 I swear, he dumb or something 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Lmao yeah jam the rule book up your ass
Anyone here from jj podcast
yep
1 year later is just more heartbreak for the clippers
To this day the Clippers have never gotten past the second round.
They’ve been a franchise for 50 years. Never.
Well see this year 🧡🙂
@@Quezruthless5 yup
@@Quezruthless5 how that worked out?
the fact that Paul made that amazing clutch mid range too
Who is watching this after Doc's meltdown against Denver...
As much as i love my thunder, that was rigged as fuck.
Ahh the memories, i remember watching this live
best last minute comeback i`ve ever seen, Thunder UP

A whole 4 years later and this comment still dumb af 😂
@@drewski103 I don’t get it?
The collection of choke artists on court is truly legendary. Cp3 harden doc rivers Westbrook. A true sight to behold lol
😭😭😭😭
Cp3 clearly is the worst of them all. He still shines as the clearest choker in a game of chokers lol. 4 straight fuck ups.
Nigga with how much Chris and Blake flopped the Clips deserved this
Golden State Warriors No team deserved to get robbed. It's more than just this game. It happens ALL the time and I'm sick of it
jwpolar i know im late but chris paul did foul westbrook on that 3
jwpolar That was the right call, Jackson did touch it last, but Barnes touched his wrist and caused the ball to leave Jackson's hands
Nate Davis You're the only one that thinks it was the right call lol
Loudest free throw reaction ever!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Kd should’ve taken the last shot tbh
It's been proven over and over again that no team with Chris Paul as its best player can ever be a legitimate title contender, regardless of how much help he has as the number 1 option. And these moments further cement that fact
+Nobody Touches Jordan No it was because of a lot of bogus calls.
the only bad call in the clutch of this game was the ball going to OKC after it went out of bounds off of Reggie Jackson. And that wouldn't have been an issue if Paul didn't turn the ball over in the first place
he clearly fouled Westbrook on the 3
projectshanks.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/Chris-Paul-Russell-Westbrook-foul.jpg
and they're not going to call a little touch on the arm with a playoff game on the line when Paul turned it over on the game-winning attempt. that's a standard no call in that situation
Paul was outplayed by Westbrook for the overall series and the clutch moments of Game 5 which eventually decided the series. That is the main reason they lost
But they still lost because of a bad call. This game at least.
+Jeremy Hamilton Houston
OKC crowd so loud the good old days
I'm a thunder fan and this shit was clearly rigged
same this game could've very well have gone to overtime
Yeen no okc fan saying that bullshit they had a 15pt lead the refs gave it all back right
Obviously Not. Clippers Choked They Were Up 15 ! They Let That Lead Go
jdp 90five so tell me why would rig it in the favor of the WAAYYY smaller market
I hate the clippers but the one that killed them was the foul at the three point line. That wasn't a fucking foul, the league is really sensitive about touching the arm of the shooter in these playoffs. But I remember harden getting bumped to the ground, NO CALL. Refs need to be consistent with that shit. That was a horrible shot by Westbrook completely unnecessary down by 2
that was a foul by cp3 on westb...look here...scroll down a bit
forums.realgm.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1321645&start=120
That's exactly what the refs are afraid of, and every call they make is arguable since every player acts like they got shot after a play.
the refs killed them as well as Donald Sterling and David Stern
zcarenow Westbrook moves his arm into CP3s. Chris just stands there and gets a foul called on him
I miss when KD and Russ use to share these moments
2003, 2014, 2015, 2020 the years Doc Rivers coached teams have chocked
In these past years the thunder have probably been involved in some of the most interesting games of the seasons
That foul call on cp3 to give Westbrook three shots was inexcusable and if happened today it would’ve been reviewed... nothing else Paul could’ve done there.
Doc rivers face at 2:03 😂😂😂
Chris Paul played like Cliff Paul, and Paul George Played like George Paul
Russ was a BEAST!!! WHAT HAPPENED TO WESTBROOK???
Lebron system
@@m.davinci9285 SERIOUSLY. LEBRON IS A BALLHOG AND WITHOUT HIM RUSS AND AD WOULD PLAY BETTER
@@m.davinci9285 nah he never improved, he relies too much athletic
I remembered this game like it was yesterday.. disappointed on the clippers smh
Where was the foul on Westbrook?
Well, CP3 touched his elbow, which was a foul. And if you're going to complain, when Jamal shot a half court shot but got fouled by KD, look how he got fouled. KD just touched his hand and it was called as a foul. Same with CP3 on Westbrook. Anyways, OKC didn't win the finals, so you should be happy.
elbow is a foul, chris paul turned it over twice and commited a terrible foul the calls were close is say chris paul lost them the game
MiningFlamingo all I have to say is watch Jamal Crawford's and one threes. He falls down with little contact.
GLenn Acosta
Yeah, sure everyone flops. But to flop to win the game? Dog fucking move man
I'm pretty sure you'd do it though. MiningFlamingo, espiecally if you're aiming for a ring.
I was so pissed on the final play Jackson only hits CP arm
The very last place, Reggie Jackson smacks cp3 on the arm causing him to lose the ball. That's fked up no call.
I still cant believe the clippers blew this one.. they are the clippers...
Steve Kerr isn't blind to the BS. He knew that call was trash.
This was taken from the nba site: "The hand is considered “ part of the ball” when it is in contact with the ball and contact with a players hand when it is in contact with the ball is not a foul."
out of bounds off jackson, incorrectly called on barnes
ticky tack 3pt foul on paul
no-call on jackson slapping paul's arm on final possession
sheesh
i remember watching this and thinking this was one of the worst officiated final minutes of all time
As a clippers fan this hurts so much to watch..... we had so much potential
But so had the Thunder.
Only two times Paul has choked and this is one of them. The other was when he played the Nuggets and Chancey Billups shut that nigga down. Never seen that shit before LOL
Reggie Jackson had improved so much.
Back when KD still had his dignity
Come one. I wish KD stayed in okc to see this again
im not a clips or even a cp3 fan but man this is still tough to watch
That game propelled OKC into a contender in the Western Conference. The Thunder were very fortunate in this game...
damn i remember these trash ass refs they i didn't even notice they missed big babys double dribble on the rebound too
Back when NBA was good and worth watching
+Miesha THE GOAT Tate well you can't win with a bad team lol plus the Warriors built that team up unlike 2012 Miami where all superstars just sign with one team
yep the nba is all about the warriors and cavs...it kinda sucks... 2 shitty franchises
+Mexico City u gotta be dumb as hell
Who’s here after they lost Russ and pg
It's Paul's fault for losing the ball at the end of the game where he coulld have taken the game winning shot
I miss these times no 🧢
Guys I know people are really mad about a lot of the calls, but some of you guys just gotta really look at the calls.
mel cans But Chris did blow that game, the thunder had no right coming back in that game
@melcans your stupid that was clearly off of jacksons hand idiot
jacob shapiro No foul is ever called for that type of foul? There's even a name for it called reach-in foul. Normally, in TIGHT situations, refs won't ever call a foul on a 3 even if its a hard one. The contact on westbrook was so minimal or none at all. If that foul on westbrook got called, the foul on cp3 should have been called too especially since it could have saved the game for the clips. This game has been rigged clearly. And i'm not even a clips fan nor a okc hater.
0:47 reason you don't celebrate till the game is over
John Moreta he didnt celebrate
Not a clipper fan at all.. i actually despise them being a Lakers fan but this was one of the most rigged games of all time. That should of been a foul on CP3.... that should of been Clipper ball, the ball touched Jackson last.... Paul didn't foul Westbrook...CP3 no call on a drive where Jackson swiped at his arm. The refs in this game were trash!
there was bad calls on both sides fool
@@brashadcarr6759 But down to the wire, LAC got robbed. The end.
Paul clearly fouled westbrook. He even knew it. He lifted his arm back right when he touched westbrook. The only questionable was the jackson play.
+Danny Lin He never touched his arm, and he was trying to make sure he didn't. That's why he lifted it back.
+Rigved Goyal he said he knew he fouled him in a interview. And there is a picture of it too floating around with pure contact

Didn't look like contact to me.
+Danny Lin This is true. He did foul him. Clear contact if you see that picture in question.
